"Harley!"
Don't ask why someone is shouting my name, because I don't know either.
"What is it?"
The person that called me happened to be my best friend; Laura Knight.
Hi, I'm Harley Riddle, the daughter of a very rich family.
"Look!"
I sighed, raising my head up, and followed her gaze. There's nothing out of the ordinary—just cars and students with their butlers.
I turned to Laura, "What am I exactly looking at?" I drawled. For some reason, I want to embarrass her, I know you all thinking;
'Why would you want to embarrass your own best friend?'
Well, it's a payback—for telling the school that I am the niece of the director.
Now everyone is scared of me, they all go silent whenever I walk into the corridor or classroom, and they just stare at me like I'm some prey.
It's creepy.
Laura rolled her eyes, slapping the back of my head, earning some gasps from students who walked past us. "There!" she pointed, my eyes followed her finger and rested on a group of...oh boy.
I turned to her and glared, "What did I say about him?" I snapped, curling my fingers into a fist.
The brunette just shrugged, giving me a lopsided grin. "That you don't want to hear or do anything that involves the Blue Grinch."
I snorted at the nickname that my best friend had decided to give him, a hilarious one as well.
I suppose you're asking yourselves 'who is him'. Well 'him' is a popular student, everyone knows him, many girls love him but me.
Why should I? He hasn't done anything to impress me.
Liam Weber.
He's cold, quiet, intelligent and unfortunately an attractive, millionaire boy.
"Oi! Harley!" Laura's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I shook my head, mumbling under my breath.
Looking past my best friend, I immediately felt uncomfortable. I was going back to my usual school self.
A small, timid, nerdy, and quiet girl.
Laura noticed my expression and turned to find a group of girls walking toward us with smirks on their faces.
She gulped and sat beside me on the bench quickly, avoiding everyone's eyes.
"Hello, nerds." The girl at the lead, Kiara, stood in front of us with her hands on her hips.
I straightened, "Kiara, what do you want?" I am absolutely terrified of what she might say or do.
Kiara grinned, "Nothing much. I just want your money. After all, your uncle owns this school and he must have given you thousands in your pocket. That also must mean, you have my money!"
Gee, I didn't know you paid to come to this school, thought it was your parents.
She stepped forwards and grabbed my collar. I winced as I was pulled towards her.
"Give me back what's mine, Riddle!"
Laura took my arm and brought me back to her side, "Might I remind you that doing this will get you expelled? It wouldn't look good on your family's reputation would it?" she growled, glaring at the girl.
Kiara glared back at Laura. A lot of people were starting to crowd around. "Come on girls, let's leave these losers," Kiara muttered as she stalked off, her followers quickly went after her.
Laura snorted, "You really need to learn how to stand up for yourself."
It's not as easy as you might think, thanks.
I rolled my eyes, feeling more confident after the bullies left. I brought out my phone and scrolled down the messages.
Big Sister Mel||
Last seen: Last year.
I sighed softly. I swear I'm sighing so much these days, blame this on Laura and Kiara, they are like children, running around like headless chickens.
Melissa isn't really my sister, since we have different dads. So that makes us half–sisters.
It's been a year since Melissa vanished, driving my mother mad. We don't know if she's dead or alive. And that's making everyone worry, not to mention she was engaged to a wealthy man.
"Still missing, huh?" My brunette best friend murmured, she and Melissa were close as well, you could almost say they were sisters.
Both had brown hair.
Same colored eyes.
Though they have different personalities, they're also quite similar in what they like.
Okay, I suppose you could say that I was completely jealous that Laura, my best friend, was closer to my sister than me.
Sighing, I turned off my phone and got up, stretching. Laura was on her feet as well, glancing around in case someone might have a go at us. "Come on. Let's go." I murmured, quickly walking down to the building with Laura right behind me.

And there, that's where the real story starts. It is where Harley will have to face difficulties and life-death experiences.
