Chapter Twenty-Four

"Fuck me, Luciano," Kit begged.

She was backed up against the wall of the bathroom stall. Her arms clung to Luca's strong neck, and her thighs were wrapped around his waist.

"Nothing feels as good as being inside you," he moaned into her ear as fucked her; the entire stall was shaking from the momentum.

"Don't stop," she pleaded between moans. "Harder."

He increased his pace, and she bit down on his shoulder. He grunted at that, and she looked up to see his eyes darkening even more.

"Mine," he moaned as he drove himself into her, filling her to the hilt.

"Am I?" She asked, and he slowed some as their eyes met.

"Are you what?" he asked, running his thumb over her lower lip. "Mine?"

"Yeah..."

"You know you are, Kit," he replied in that velvety voice. "Have been from the moment, I"- he drove deeply into her instead of finishing his statement.

"Yes," she moaned happily in agreement. "Yours."

"Say that again," he demanded; his eyes were so intense she couldn't look away if she wanted to.

"I'm yours... I'm all yours, Luciano," she said in a breathy voice.

"Oh fuck, yes, mine, mine, all mine," he groaned as he continued to rock her. "Cricket."

"Luciano," she claimed his mouth with hers, and she kissed him hard, as roughly as he was fucking her.

She felt herself coming undone as he increased his pace to a fever pitch. She bit her lip to stop from screaming as she panted his name like a prayer.

"Ti ammo cazzo," Luca breathed out as they exploded together.

"What?"

"Why is the door locked!?" "The hell?!?" Someone started knocking on it, "Open up. I got to pee!"

"Oops," Kit giggled, and Luca laughed as he helped her down.

The pounding on the door got louder as they scrambled with their clothes.

"One second!"

"Hurry!" The lady yelled back.

"Hurry up and let her in before she gets your dad," Luca was handing her the shirt he'd ripped off her as she pulled her shorts up.

He stood on the toilet so his feet wouldn't be seen, and she closed the stall door behind her. She hurried to the door and opened it. A woman rushed in, nearly knocking her over as she raced to an open stall.

Kit ducked out of the bathroom and was relieved to see her dad's old "diehard" friends had arrived. He was talking to them at the bar, blissfully unaware of what was going on literally behind his back.

She saw the woman leave and opened the door, "coast is clear," she called to Luca.

She walked over to the jukebox and started picking out some songs.

"How'd we manage to get away with that?" Luca came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her from behind.

"My dad is a big stoner that doesn't notice anything."

He laughed as he pressed his lips against her neck.

"Oh, there he is! Come over here, Luca!" Stone yelled from across the room, "I was just telling them how you made Kyle piss his pants!"

Luca took her hand and walked with her toward the bar.

"I wish I'd have seen that!" One of the older guys said as Stone poured a line of shot glasses with the poison. He slid one over to Luca as the two of them sat down.

"Nah, man," Luca grinned and slid it back, "I told Kit Kat I'd just do one."

Kit bit back a smile, happy he listened to her.

"Well, take shots of something! It's on me. How about tequila?" Stone asked.

"Fine," Kit relented as Stone poured them each a shot.

Luca clinked his glass with hers, and they downed them. She grabbed a lime from the bar tray and sucked on it to get rid of the bitter taste afterward.

"Hey man, that was pretty badass the way you almost choked out Kyle," Brian, one of Kyle's friends, had come up to the bar.

"You really made him piss his pants?" One of Stone's friends asked.

"He's lucky. That's all I did," Luca spoke loud enough to be heard by Kyle's friends at the nearby table. "No one fucks with my girl."

Kit couldn't help the big grin that spread over their face. She was his girl, and he wanted everyone to know it.

"If I see him trying to hang around the Hart house or Jess, I'll tell you," Brian's friend offered.

"Yeah, you do that," Luca said with a cocky smirk. He put an arm around her, so she scooted her stool a little closer.

"Can we get some more beers, Stone?" Brian asked.

"Yeah, sure; go back to the table, and I'll bring them to you."

"Dad! Jase is one thing, but..." Kit's eyes widened. "That many under twenty one?"

"Shh," he hushed her. "It's a block party, and they're tipping heavy."

She rolled her eyes as her dad grabbed a handful of beer bottles and headed to the table of Kyle's not-very-loyal crew. They were all looking at Luca like he was a rock star. He may not have intended to, but Luca Donato dethroned the king of Willow Park and swiftly took his place tonight.

"Small towns," Luca chuckled. "Never get away with that in the city."

"You from Sun City then?" One of Stone's friends asked.

"Was," Luca motioned for Stone to bring him a beer when he returned to the bar. "I'm here now."

"Yeah," he nodded, "sorry to hear about your old man."

"Yeah, thanks," Luca muttered as Stone handed him a beer; he then filled another glass of wine for Kit.

"He ain't trying to think about all that tonight, Jimmy," Stone spoke up as he slid the drinks over to them.

"Sorry, man," Jimmy said.

"It's all good," Luca mumbled.

"Let's go play some darts, babe," Kit suggested, deciding to try out a little pet name herself as she climbed down from her stool.

Luca followed her with a bit of smirk curling at his lips.

"Babe?" He questioned as they made their way over to the dart boards.

"What?" She gave him a look, "You can baby me, and I can't, babe you?"

"Didn't say you couldn't," his eyes flickered sexily at her, "I like it, maybe not as much as when you scream my name, but.."

"Noted, Luciano," she winked playfully at him.

"Only you get away with that," he said; he stuck a few quarters in the dartboard and handed her the darts.

"Because you love it," she teased.

"So do you, Cricket," he retorted.

"Only when you say it," she admitted. "I never thought I'd like the sound of my name."

"Cricket? Why It's cute." Luca stood before the dartboard and lined up his shot. He nearly hit the bullseye but was just slightly off. He threw one more right outside the middle and moved so Kit could take her shot.

"It's not cute; it's a bug's name," she rolled her eyes at that. "My mom gave me a name bullies would love and then took off on me."

She stood in front of the dartboard and lined up her shot. She was great at bar games, having spent a lot of her childhood in them when her dad was working. She hit the bullseye on the first try as usual, and it chimed with music and lit up. She moved then to allow Luca to take his shot, grabbing her wine from the tall table near them and then sipping it.

"It's cute," Luca argued. "Because everything about you is."

"Stop," she scoffed.

"No, I won't," he was suddenly in front of her, looking at her in that intense way again. "Your mom sucks, and she was an idiot to walk away from you."

She found herself speechless, her lips parting slightly.

"Anyone would be. Me included." He added, and with that, he turned away and returned to the dart board.

"Then don't walk away again," she said; her words distracted him, and he missed the board entirely.

"That's the thing, Cricket, I can't."

Her heart leaped at his words, and she found herself speechless. She sipped her wine instead as she watched him.

He took his next shot and hit the bullseye after that. The dart board started making its noises to celebrate. Luca tipped back the rest of his beer as he stepped aside. She stood to take her shot, and he surprised her by kissing her cheek.

"Are you trying to distract me?" She asked in a teasing tone, "Because it won't work. I'll still beat you."

"We'll see about that," he smacked her butt just as she tossed her dart, forcing her to miss.

"That's cheating!" She scolded.

"Nah, it's to even the score," he looked her up and down, "that body distracts me twenty-four seven."

She blushed at that as she took her next shot, quickly hitting the center this time.

"I'll grab us some more drinks," he offered.

"Okay, babe," she said it casually this time; she found she liked how it sounded. The little flicker in his eyes told her he liked it too.

She grabbed her wine glass and sat to sip the rest, glancing over at the bar as she did. Stone and Luca were chatting like old friends as Stone handed him the drinks.

She noticed her dad again try to hand Luca a damn poison shot. She was just about to march there when she saw Luca slide it over to one of her dad's friends instead.

They must've said something to tease him because he narrowed his eyes and shook his head before walking back to her.

"Thanks," she said as he handed it to her.

"Your dad's half in the bag already," Luca told her as he threw his next dart.

"Figured that would happen," she riled her eyes.

"I won't drink anymore after this one," he offered. "He's going to need a ride later."

"You don't have to do that," she said. "He can crawl home if he needs to."

"He's going to be at this rate," Luca chuckled. "You don't want to know what he called me."

"I do now! What?" She asked as she bounced up to take her turn at the dart game.

"He goes here comes my daughter's stud," he scoffed. "Then he called me blue eyes when he was trying to shove the shot at me."

"What!?" She laughed as she looked over at the bar, and Stone was talking and laughing with his friends.

"I think he maybe has a man crush on you," she guessed. "The Kyle thing really impressed him."

"Who could blame him?" Luca said cockily. "As long as he knows I'm taken."

He nudged her gently with his hip to push her out of the way.

Her belly erupted with butterflies. She thought she was dreaming, but this was too good to dream up. She couldn't wipe the silly grin off her face at this point.

This time Luca hit the bullseye quickly, and the dart board lit up, declaring him the winner.

"Would you look at that? I did beat the little dart master," he teased.

"By cheating," she scoffed.

"Sore loser," he stuck his tongue out at her, and she couldn't help but laugh.

"We built this city on sausage rolls!" Stone started signing loudly as he and his buddies laughed louder and louder.

"Let's get out of here and walk around," Kit suggested. "before he tries to drag us into that."

He and one of his buddies were dancing around and singing the wrong words playfully, causing the rest of the group to laugh.

"Yeah, let's go," Luca agreed as they ducked out of the bar.

The air had gotten muggier, and the threat of a storm lingered in the air. Luca took her hand in his as they started to walk.

My boyfriend, she thought to herself as a giddy grin spilled over her face.

A group of kids were throwing little fire snappers on the street and laughing as they burst and popped. Luca pulled her to the side and away from them as they walked along.

Music filled the air, and she glanced over to see a car in the driveway blasting music.

"Come on," Luca pulled her into their arms. "Dance with me."

"Right here?" She questioned. "On the street?"

"Why not?" He whirled her around, and she giggled as he brought her back to his chest.

She was only buzzed from the wine but enough to let loose and enjoy it as they danced around the middle of the street.

She draped her arms around his neck as he pulled her closer. The music switched to a slow ballad, and she rested her head against his shoulder as they swayed softly against the music.

"Luca," she looked up and met his eyes as he gazed down at her.

"Kit Kat," he flashed her his irresistible grin.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Anything," he said as he whirled her around again.

"What did you say?" She asked in a breathy voice as their eyes locked again.

"Just now? I said, Anything."

"Not now! In the bathroom...and on the beach too. What did you say to me in Italian?"

He hesitated as he gazed down into her eyes. Just as he parted his lips to speak, the sky opened up. It started pouring down on them with no warning.

"Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed through her laughter as the rain soaked them both.

Despite it, all Luca whirled her around again, her wet hair whipping through the air as they finished the dance.

When they stopped, he pushed her wet locks from her face. All she could hear was the pitter-patter of the rain around them, and all she could see was the blue in his eyes.

She wanted to lose herself in that gaze forever.

"You're the most beautiful thing I've ever laid my eyes on," he said in a husky voice.

"Oh, Luciano," she whispered as his lips came crashing down on hers.
