Hey guys, I wanna get into the story so I'm just gonna fast forward to this episode of a bit and skip over something that happened in the episode basically there's gonna be no snowwraith don't worry he'll be making an appearance in another episode but for now let's just get on with the chapter

Astrid point of view

When we got back to Home, the first thing that happened was everyone was asking questions about Ariel to which we gave the straightforward answer. We found her in the shipyard alone and scared so we took her back with us it's not allowed to eat his usual. I punched him in the face and took aerial to my house where I gave her some proper clothes. Some of my old stuff that didn't fit me anymore seemed to fit her it was a bit of a tight fit though

When we were done with that we went to Garber who hiccup gave the... drag eye. That's what he calls it to him to try and unlock it with zero success. Instead he ended up nearly exploding his heart and giving tough nut dart to the chest that paralysed and finally nearly 2 hours.

But to my surprise, despite everything was going on hiccup was nowhere to be seen so I went over to his house and up to his room and he was just there reading the book that he found it was amazing. I never seen him this dedicated to something except for the book of dragons... I kind of wish you put some of that energy into our relationship a bit more

Toothless was in the room too, but he was wrapped up in his bed. Can't say I blame him. It's getting late but hiccups seem like he was on a mission to read the entire book tonight.

I shrug as I walk over to the table: yeah Ariel's sleeping in my house right now I figured I would come over and visit. I was kind of surprised not to see you with copper trying to unlock the Dragon eye

Hiccup: yeah well I figured that if this book and the Dragon and I were together maybe they're connected to somehow... So I've been reading through it trying to find if there was like a secret that could be used to open it so far I haven't found anything but brief passages of the Dragon eye whoever made this book of Magic for Black of a better term didn't make the Dragon eye but they studied it a little bit

That's good to know: okay so is there a way to go for us to open it?

Hiccup: yes actually it referenced a dragon known as a the snowwrath apparently we need its tooth but according to this, the person who was studying the Dragon eye as well as writing the book didn't use a tooth Instead they use some sort of special poly trick spell to unlock the Dragon eye

My eyes widen he used magic: he used magic... Wait hold on are you suggesting that we should use to open the Dragon eye? Don't we need to be like someone special for that? Like don't we have to be born with magic or something

Hiccup shrugged and shake his head: apparently not according to the book some spells are like politics like I said that anyone can use the more complicated ones do require people with magic in their blood to perform but the one I'm talking about is one of those simple tricks. It will just give me the authority to unlock the Dragon eye and only me... The catch is you can only use the spell once in your entire life so once I use it on the Dragon eye I can't use it again

As bizarre as as strange as that sounds it actually kind of makes sense. It's a one time use spell: OK so what do we do? Do we just need to gather some materials chicken bones and orchid and all that like Goth does?

Hiccup: apparently not all I do have to do apparently is say these words and that's it the Dragon and I will open for me and only me

Well, sounds like we've got a solution and for once we don't have to go in a dangerous mission it would've been too dangerous which is the two of us going after a new dragon to which we have zero experience with: OK so we unlock the Dragon and I find out what it's capable of and then what... We still got a mermaid dagger is on the loose I mean just when I think things could get a bit normal you start talking about magic and then I remember that magic and all that other stuff we were told his kids is real... I mean trolls I get mermaids I guess I can believe in that but what else is in that book?

Hiccup: everything Astrid... I mean I don't even know where to begin. I haven't even gotten into the middle and it's talking about magic creatures like changing links trolls something called a Trollhunter which ironically is supposed to protect other trolls, demigods that we've never even heard of apparently the author actually found Thor's hammer. I mean the stuff here it's incredible... And very terrifying according to the book the fog that surrounds us is not natural either it's apparently some sort of magical spell to that was used to keep the red death in and around here to stop it from escaping

I raise an eyebrow: so you need to tell me that we're inside a cage

Hiccup: yeah apparently Astrid this book talks about things outside theArchipelago more to the point he talks about things that are amazing dangerous all of which a dagger is heading to right now... I know I'm all about exploring the unknown and trying to figure it out but this stuff I don't think the world ready for it heck I don't think even we are but if dagger finds it any of it

I can already tell her that the range psychopath is going to do with it: nothing good will come of it so what do you wanna do, because if you're thinking about leaving, I'm right there with you we can't have Ariel hanging around here for too long. It's not gonna be long until people find out what she is and I don't wanna think about what they're gonna do to her when they find out that she's a mermaid we need to get her home.

Hiccup: actually, thinking about that I did a bit of research apparently Ariel's voice is incredibly powerful A mermaid's voice/song is one of the most powerful things in the sea according to the book as a way to get it back, there is a number of ways the problem is we need to know exactly what happened that cost her to lose her voice apparently a mermaid can lose it by a bit wager even selling it off if need the good news is that in all the different versions? The one thing we do need to do in any of them is fine. The person who has the voice after that we need to either rip up the contract, or it was a deal. Ariel needs to give back what she gave in return for her voice or we need to somehow appease the dealer by giving them something as powerful or greater than a mermaids voice which... Like I said one of the most powerful things in the ocean so that won't be easy

Okay makes sense. I guess well as much sense as any of this does: OK so we take Ariel with us when we leave and try to find a way to get her Home... Then what you and me go out try to find dagger as well as any other magical stuff that need to be protected from the world of man

Hiccup nodded: I think that's what we need to do when I went through the book when I skim through it I've got to the end and there was just one final warning that the author was wrong. He shouldn't have wrote about this that the magic was too much for mortals to have he spoke about something... The only word I could find that could describe it is Ragnarok

My eyes wide and once again: Ragnarok, as in the end of days as we know it

Hiccup: yeah but the guy completely cuts off after that it's like he just vanished but I did find an obscure reference... I think that this isn't the only book he made

I look at the book and back of my boyfriend. The thing looked bigger than the book of dragons and he's telling me there's another one.: you think there's another book?

Hiccup: I think there's another two we might have booked number three... And apparently whoever has all three books will be able to bring for Ragnarok... But that doesn't matter as much because if someone with less than good intentions say dagger finds one of these books he'll be able to summon Demons chaos gods it won't matter if he has one of the books or all three he'll bring for his own Ragnarok

If that didn't sell it, I don't know what will:... I'll go pack

Hiccup: yeah me too and once we get the Dragon I working I'll convince my dad to let us go. I don't know how but I have got to otherwise it could be the end of the world.
