Astrid point of view

so dagger that arranged is back and apparently he's mean and crazier than ever and is fixated on hiccup the past three years so it's not looking great me and hiccup take the trader back to Burke where he tells us as much as he can along the way before passing out realising the seriousness of the situation we went to the chief and told him everything he told us that we need to get the Dragon Riders ready while he set up the defences for daggers return I have a feeling there are three years of peace about to come to a swift and brutal end

but on the positive side that means we can get the gang back together and never thought I'd say this with them looking forward to it I mean gonna be wrong hanging around with just me and it Was amazing but now that daggers back there is strength in numbers

without reminded me and hiccup gather everyone and tell them to meet us at the Dragon Academy the Dragon Riders are back in our first mission is to find dagger and put him back behind bars where he belongs

in the Dragon Academy my boyfriend was standing in front of a man explaining the situation to the others: all we got out of Johann before he passed out was this: dagger escaped from outcast Island by commandeering his ship

he then pointed to a section of the map next to a smaller island close to where we were today: he threw Johann overboard about here

snotout over the optimistic: really well that's great that only leaves let me think about this... The entire ocean to search! No thank you!

I roll my eyes yet maybe missing the entire gang was too strong a word I might have forgotten how annoying some of them could be sometimes

as if on cue trader Johann appeared: master hiccup

hiccup: Johann you're awake

he did seem a lot better now amazing what a little bit of food and some rest can do to someone who's been thrown overboard: and feeling much better thank you for asking. More importantly, I have a strong suspicion about where our suspicion wear on nefarious foe maybe hiding.

He chuckles rather maniacally actually scanner concerning but then again it's Johann he's always been a bit of a dramatic

hiccup looked at him confused: outside the Archipelago?

The trader shook his head: no no master hiccup just across the fog bank on our outer islands

that is far out with never been that far before the Dragons would get too tired so I guess it would make sense for daggers to go as far away as he possibly can from here right now he is got only one ship handful of men and not a lot of weapons and exactly daggers style heel once more but where will he go to get it that is the real question

thankfully trader Johann gave us the answer: when dagger commandeered my precious ship, he also came into possession of a very important map one that leads to a graveyard of ships that is hidden in the fog bank... As well as being haunted

snotloud sarcastically: wow! Yet that's exactly where I would go

for once I actually agree with him mean daggers deranged but he's not crazy I would go to a graveyard of ships that supposedly haunted that's like asking for trouble then again he is deranged so I guess anything is possible

Johann: if I could just finish-

snotloud: Johann has time we let you finish we ended up on breakneck bog so no you may not finish

as much as I would love not hearing another one of Johann's annoying and very long stories I fear that we don't have a choice we need to know why daggers going to the graveyard and if I'm being honest an interest in knowing how this places...haunted

hiccup: enough what's so special about this graveyard but do pleats keep the explanation short Johann we don't have a lot of time

Johann looking rather sheepish and for the first time ever actually gives a short answer: it where I keep all my treasures and works

I was shocked and so was everyone saw everyone's mouths open wide surprise that Johann was able to keep an explanation only one sentence

I agree but unfortunately Johann breaks his code of silence and goes straight into another story to which we have to put a stop to because we really don't have time so I decide to ask question: Johann you said this place was haunted... haunted by what?

Johann's face went pale: to tell you the truth lady Astrid I haven't got the foggiest idea I believe it could be some sort of banshee or perhaps a siren I've never quite seen it with my own eyes

Fisher legs: well if you haven't seen it how do you know the place is haunted

Johann: oh it's a devil of a story master fish likes it all began when I was unloading some of my treasure and wears onto a wrecked boat that I often used for storage and let me tell you it one is one of my best catches yet I had riches and product a spare but then it all took a turn for the worst when I heard this majestic singing in the distance it was beautiful and hypnotic at first I thought someone else was here when I looked around there was no one until I saw a shadow of someone sitting on the rocks until they I saw them fall into the water thinking that this was a maiden in distress I raced over in my boat when I got there there was no I thought the eels might have gone to her but then that's when it started happening

this is actually starting to get really interesting: what started happening Johann

Johann continued to explain: I heard the voice again this time was not singing it was laughing as I heard bits and pieces of my boat being picked off one piece at a time as well as my treasures and wears being pulled into the ocean and that's when it came for me I don't know how but it grabbed hold of my foot when I was at the edge of the boat and started pulling me trying to make me join it in the ocean I managed to get my boot off but it dragged into the ocean I'd never got a clear look at it but it seemed to be some sort of... Fish but none of which I've ever seen one that big

the singing that attracted him definitely does sound like a siren but sirens don't exist... Do they

hiccup: what about after that you still used the shipwreck graveyard is a place to store your treasure after that

Johann smiled: yes Master Because I discovered that if I leave a little bit of treasure out for this beast specifically a shiny object it will leave me alone I believe it is some sort of offering to appease it while I use its waters once I do that it leaves me alone it does occasionally steal some of my wears and treasure but usually it's cooking more utensils so I turned a blind eye to it it shouldn't cause you any trouble on your journey there but I would recommend that you take something shiny as an offering

I just couldn't hook whatever this thing is it's probably best to be in its good books that it's bad this we now know where daggers going and if we are lucky whatever's protecting the graveyard of ships might help us in stopping him

Johann unfortunately had one other bit of information he needed to tell us: before I forget there is one ship that you must absolutely avoid it's called the Reaper

yeah that sounds very inviting: why must we avoid it

Johann explained: it's filled to the brim with traps I barely made it out alive the first time and only time I dared step aboard

well that's good to know avoid the shipper bring something shiny to appease a giant fish tube stop a crazy lunatic classic Dragon Rider staff

hiccup: okay with that all of the way I'm sure all of you can take time out of your busy schedules to help catch a deranged lunatic

I nod but everyone else doesn't which confuses me and hiccup I step out of the group as they're all avoiding eye contact with us: guys you're not serious daggers a danger to us all we have to go catch him

Fisher legs: we know Astrid is just well... Which kinda got our own lives now and if I'm being honest it was canonised to spend some of that time not getting sharps or had fireballs shot out you from angry dragons I think I Wanna stay home for this I'm sorry I just don't Wanna put meat log through that again she still has nightmares from when we fought dagger three years ago

one of the annoying ones in our group even agrees with that: as much as I would love to beat up dagger again I can't I have responsibilities as the weapons tester and if dagger really is badly gonna need me to test the weapons to make sure they work in case of the worst-case scenario... Besides I would only give you guys too big an advantage

as humble as always that just leaves the twins: as much as we like blowing stuff up

They all nod some more enthusiastic than others but it's clear that they're done with Dragon riding great so now it's just me and my boyfriend against a crazy lunatic in a graveyard of ships protected by some sort of giant fish today is gonna be great

Narrator's point of view

the two Vikings were in love were heading to the graveyard of ships that Johann had told them about however it was only the two of them plus their dragons so they had to come up with a new plan along the way Astrid of course was still furious that their friends would just abandon them to go fight lunatic by themselves hiccup was more understanding that didn't voice his concerns to his girlfriend partly because he liked it when she was angry at other people not at him

hiccup trying to calm her down as they flew to the graveyard: Astrid please calm down you have to admit it was a lot to ask them to drop everything and come with us

Astrid still frustrated: yeah to go fight lunatic that wants to wipe our village off the face of the earth meant seriously how could those guys do that after everything we've been through together they just decide to throw it all away well that settles it the old Dragon Riders are done

the ones I did biking always the optimist: well I don't know maybe they'll come around

the look that Astrid was giving him was telling him so many things none of which he would say out loud as she turned back around to plus looked up at him letting out a small giggle

hiccup: yeah I can walk into that

the two continued to fly and eventually Astrid calmed down she was still angry with the others but she was calm enough to realise that they work grossly unprepared to capturing dagger: without the other our chances of capturing dagger severely downgraded

hiccup agreed with his girlfriend there was one thing that was still troubling him: yeah I see your point but maybe will have some help from whatever's guarding this graveyard of ships from what Johann said

Astrid remember the story partly because it was one of the only few ones that was interesting to her: yeah I remember something about a giant fish that lurks in the water he thinks it's a siren or something why do you think it's a Dragon

hiccup shook his head: not exactly I did a bit of reading four left in the book of dragons obviously it's mostly talking a granite but I did remember that there was a subsection about sirens according to the book sirens law mail Vikings to crashing the ships so that they can eat them or suck their souls out was never really clear yet this thing whatever it is didn't do that with Johann and according to the book of dragons in that subsection sirens are very dedicated to catching their prey so I have a feeling that if Johann really did get caught by a siren he would be at the bottom of the ocean by now also I don't think there's any real way to appease a siren unless you give it what it wants and I've never heard of a siren being interested in shiny objects have you

Astrid thought about it for a moment as she shook her head: no not really now that you mention it the story itself doesn't make much sense sirens are supposed to show themselves to lower Vikings in with their beauty yet this one stayed hidden

hiccup: exactly and what exactly does one with all this shiny stuff and utensils and cookware that what Johann says he loses offerings as well as the creature stealing them sometimes what kind of offering is that no gold no rubies is just interested in... Stuff we used to cook the doesn't make any sense

Astrid: well just in case I brought some flights from home my parents no longer use what about you what did you bring

hiccup: Spyglass hopefully there will be enough to get whatever this thing is off our backs were we here

the two continued to fly into the night where they finally arrived at their destination the graveyard of ships just inside the far bank of everything they had ever known there was ships from everywhere and some places that neither of them recognised it Wasn't sure whether to feel terrified or enjoy the fact that he was right that there was more out there

Astrid noticing her boyfriend is a slight enjoyment: hiccup I hate to remind you but I think we should get ready with the offerings the sooner we do that the sooner we'll-

the Dragons suddenly came to a halt in their flight when music filled the air music was beautiful and enchanting to both humans and dragons

hiccup: that must be the song that Johann was talking about it means whatever this thing is it's close by your right we should get ready with the offerings

the two landed on a ship not far from a really big one that looked like it was in good condition hiccup took a guess that that was the reaper

Astrid pulled him back to reality as they dropped their offerings into the ocean and within a second there was a flash of red and green and the objects that were in the ocean suddenly vanished

neither of them could believe it they had seen something that was neither man nor Dragon they had no idea what it was but they didn't have time to study it dagger was coming here and they needed a plan

Astrid: there's no way that you just the two of us even with stone fly and toothless can take on dagger we don't know what he's got he could have Johann ship I could have 10 others we get to sit around and wait for him to come or wait for whatever that was to start getting hands he again this time with us

hiccup agreed: I agree with you but I don't see what else we can do to of us can carry all of Johann's treasure back home they would take way too many trips and we don't have a kind of time...

Astrid couldn't believe what she was hearing was hiccup actually suggesting that they gave up: are you actually suggesting we should just give up and go home?

Her boyfriend shook his head: no no that's not what I'm saying but I'm saying that we can stop dagger from getting the gold but I think we can stop him from getting... Something about over there

Astrid looked where he was pointing and it was to the reaper: that one the reaper yeah the one that Johann pacifically told us not to go to

hiccup: well I'm thinking if they put all those booby-traps on that ship that means is gonna be something they don't want people to find the question is what is it... But if I know dagger will want to check it out and I have a feeling that whatever is on that ship can fall into dagger's hands

Astrid can already see with his going: so let me get this straight you want us not to go after the gold and instead go after something that might be on that ship worth dying for... How am I in love with you again

hiccup chuckled: my dramatic flair

Astrid kissed him on the cheek: oh yeah that's right... Okay so let's go on the ship and-

the two of them were interrupted by the sounds of the Dragons panicking and almost immediately stone fly took off much of the distress of her rider but it didn't take long for the two of them to figure out why giant eels emerged from the ocean floor and study wrapping their way around the ship causing to go to one side

hiccup: toothless!

The Dragon raced to the two he was able to pick up Astrid however hiccup fell into the water

Astrid calling out distress:hiccup!

Toothless was about to racing after him despite his fear of eels but one of the giant eels got in his way so we had a plasma blast his way through

meanwhile in the water the young one legged Viking was being surrounded by giant eels he grabbed his shield as he blocked an attack from one and started swinging around trying to look threatening as the other eels circled him

But then something came zooming into the water it wasn't toothless. It was something else something that was green and red. It took out the eels in a split second pick up looked around trying to figure out what did that was it a dragon or a really fast swimmer as you can't around Once again he found himself in the prison of a complete stranger who was hugging him tightly

The young Viking blushing in the water and running out of air pushed away from whoever it was, but then seeing the person up close made him gap for air forcing him to open his mouth as he looked into the eyes of...

A mermaid a creature of legend none had been seen only me sightings. Most people believe that mermaids were nothing more than a myth but to hiccup they were real because he was in front of one right now he would've loved to stay and watch this beautiful creature more but he ran out of air so we started swimming up to the boat that had now gone back onto its right side as he guessed for air. He tried to make sense of what he just saw.

Astrid : hiccup are you okay? What happened down there?

Hiccup still wheeling from the realisation that mermaids were real looked at his girlfriend: for the first time in my entire life, Astrid I generally have no idea
