I followed the guy that talked with me, making sure I remember the way back just in case. After a few more trods through the wet path, we finally made it to the cafe. Haggard Cafe. I stared up.

"Come on, this way." I follow him.

We go through the bustle of the crowd and make it towards the counter of the cafe.

"Well, go say what you want. I'll pay." he says. I give him an appreciating smile.

"Can i have some hot chocolate here?" I ask.

"Sure thing. Coming right up." the woman says.

As I walk towards a free table, the guy sits opposite to me.

"So, how'd you like it here so far?" he asks.

"It looks good. Very busy though."

"Yeah true."

I look around only to find a waitress bring a tray with a cup on top. She lays the tray on the table.

"Here's your hot chocolate."

"Thank you." I reply.

I sip some of it making me lose all my senses and feelings for only that second. Just to admire that second of pure warmth and brightness. Then it faded away, making me shudder.

"You okay?" the guy asks.

"Yeah i'm fine. This was not as hot as i expected it to be!" I laugh. He joins in.

"So what's your name?" He asks.

"Mines Josh. Joshua Harrison."

"Nice name. I'm Anthony." He gives his hand out and I shake it.

"So what do you do around here for a living?" I ask.

"Well, I work at the grocery shop down south from here. On the notice board in the town hall, the shop's been looking for more participants to help out for a part time job. So you interested? I'm literally the only one down there working except Jackson, the owner of the shop."

"Yeah i'm interested! I need to pay for my mortgage for my house. You don't get everything free in this world." 

I want to know more about the town and it's people. So far, it's going pretty good, making my first friend. He said his name was Anthony or something. Hope we can be buddies later on. Hmm.... now what should I do? I should head to the grocery shop and ask for a part time job.

"Show me the way to that grocery shop you were telling me about."
