Witches in lots of media use or have wands! Wands are used in modern witchcraft, but not how you'd think.

Common uses of a wand in modern witchcraft:
-cast a circle
-direct energy
(I actually think that's about it)

Now what can a and be made out of?
The answer is, anything really! Find a cool stick-wand! An old chopstick-wand! The stick from a rock candy lollipop-wand!

But what is comes down to is that the wand is a tool you use to point. So if it's easy to point with, than your good to go!
