Through your writing journey you will want to make many drafts of your book.
I think it is essential to have at least TWO drafts although you can have as many as you would like.

   Written draft
A written draft is essentially like a rough draft. You can make minor mistakes or even major grammar mistakes and it will be ok as long as you can read it and correct them when you type your next draft. I love this draft because you can take it anywhere! If you write it down in a notebook you can even write at school when you have free time!!

( recommend getting a new notebook and dedicating it to your book)

Typed draft

I recommend starting this draft when you are at least halfway done with your book. In this version you can edit your book as much as you'd like! Here are some recommendations:

Fix spelling and grammar mistakes

Find the perfect font and size. DO NOT use a font that is in all caps if this is your final version. I recommend size 12 font but it really matters on your audience. I also recommend size 20 font for the chapter.

Remember that the words will be Much smaller when typed than in your written version.

Wattpad version

If you choose to write your book on Wattpad remember to claim that the characters are rightfully yours and that YOU wrote the book. (Unless this is a fanfic of course)

Copy and pasting makes it a lot easier to get your book from Word or another writing program to Wattpad. This way you can publish a chapter in 5 minuets!!

Remember that this is the Internet! People CAN steal your ideas! Make sure you are fully aware before you publish your book.
