Acknowledgments for The Memoirs of Mayhem Novella Series

Yeah, I just finished another huge af series in about four months and it's certainly an adventure in itself. I came up with the idea for this series back when I was knee-deep in writing the Main COF series, around The Abject Throne. I saw where all the places these characters have room to grow and develop and it felt like cheating to never attempt to tell their stories. Let's just say that the characters, themselves, wrote this novella series and I just followed their whim. Because let's face it, nobody wants to be stuck writing a long-ass series during what's supposed to be a break from uni.

And that's exactly what I did. I'm crazy, after all. I thought you guys already knew that? Lol.

Anyway, as soon as the idea settled in my poor briam (what I call my unfortunate braincell), I slotted it into a private discord server and left it there. Around December 2020, around the time I was writing COF Main's fifth book, I ended up titling all 13 novellas of MOFM as a way to procrastinate. Then, I got to work on the covers.

And graphic design isn't something I wanna spend time on because I legit sucked in my first attempts. Advanced thank-you to the people whom I showed the covers to and were forced to say they're good for the sake of my feelings. xD

So yeah. I finished COF Main's sixth and final book around January 2021 but I needed to edit so I dedicated the whole year for that. I was supposed to jump straight into planning the sequel series come 2022, but with editing the series came the desire to get into my characters' pasts. So, I went back to my hidden plans for world domination and revived the idea of making MOFM a real thing.

Then, came the first quarter of 2022. I ended up becoming distracted by the ONC and wrote four novellas to enter. And I thought to myself, hey, I was supposed to write novellas for MOFM this year, right? Sweet. Practice time.

And that, friends, is how I got addicted to writing short form prose fiction.

So, by the time I finished my ONC entries (by unfortunately brute forcing it all March and ended up failing two number theory major exams. ehe), I was ready to put all my time and attention to MOFM. And get to work I did, because four months later, you can read the product on this profile.

Of course, at this point I need to connect the paragraph flow to the real intent of this thing, so here comes the heartfelt appreciation for the people who have been with me in this particular journey.

To my fam over at SWF, TessaTuring, Waterbender_poet, and AmnerisTenjo. Thanks so much for staying with me and the server throughout the years even tho I'm as dry at conversation as a styrofoam board. Thank you for bearing with me through the crazy artbreeder failures, the insane screaming about not being enough, and you know, for tolerating my existence. You guys will always, always, be at the top of my list of people to thank because without you all, I wouldn't have had the courage to make friends online at all. So, thank you for that as well.

To the people the individual novellas are dedicated to (WonderfulMiracles, Spruce_Goose, chaotic_naturx, mysterygalaxi, BirtheV, LueurlaVespine, yureisilhouette, AziaElga, MoniTheTigerEmpress, WolfHusky88, akeila_agrammun), know that I meant every word of those little snippets and so much more. Thank you for being with me at different stages of my life. Thank you for the support, the "woo"s and the chaos emotes, and for choosing to be good to me even when a lot of people wouldn't. Some of you are my earliest readers while others are mostly new. There are also some who haven't touched my works but whom I have positive interactions with in the communities we share and for those, I am thankful as well. Keep being your awesome selves. I hope those dedications made up your day, at the least. :)

To the special peeps who went above and beyond:

sassy-weirdo. Thank you for all your never-ending support for my works as well as me as a person. I can never forget how kind you have been, for keeping my corner alive when you can, and for being very nice and for engaging me in conversation. I honestly have no idea how you found me but I thank all the powers that are that you did. You're seriously one of the few people I treasure in this hazy online world of writing. Thank you so much for reading NESG and crying along with my emotional damage plots. Thank you for all that you've done for me. Thank you for making me feel like my stories matter and for saying I don't write trash. I don't think I can ever repay you. Keep being joyful, crazy, and you.

axgirl13. I know I've thanked you enough in a number of separate works but during this specific period, you've been more than helpful. Thank you for reading MSWY in full and in providing useful insights on how to make my novel better. Thank you for being patient with me and for agreeing to become critique partners even though contemporary fiction isn't your thing. Thank you for responding for the number of times I bugged you on Discord. I also don't know how to repay you or if I ever would. I wish you luck with your journey in writing. You tell greater stories than me, for sure. :)

SuVida777. Thank you for being a brilliant ray of sunshine and for being everywhere that I am. (Like seriously, you're everywhere. xD) You're the first person to ever make me feel like I've written something worthwhile when you read TFL (your comments still make me laugh. lol.) and you've done it again as I was writing MOFM. Thank you for responding to my tags and for being present when I needed feedback on a lot of things. Thank you for everything. I hope you're still okay despite the situation in your country. Sending truckloads of hugs. It's amazing how you've never given up after all that. Keep fighting. We'll reach our dreams someday. Your senpai will always be here for you.

Dayisdemigod. Thank you for believing in me and my stories and for making me feel like I would make a good writing coach. Lol. Thank you for going above and beyond, inspiring me to continue and improve my graphic design skills, for saying I'm your ideal writer, and for making some of the most sucky days in my life a little bit bearable. Good luck with your own writing and designing journey. You'll get there in no time. :))

TypedInk. I feel like this whole thing is just for you. xD Thank you so much for keeping me company throughout this insane journey of writing, going to uni, and getting my wisdom teeth pulled out. For reading MSWY, for feeling the way you did, and for saying the things you did, thank you so much. I will forever treasure those words. It makes writing MSWY so much more than just finishing yet another novel.

Thank you for keeping up with my channel even though you're in the middle of exams, for pinging me 62 times that I have a heart attack every time you do that, and for showing interest in my life outside writing. Thank you for being one of the founders of the Supremacae thing (I guess, a thank you to Cross-Warrior for coming up with the name is overdue). It took a while, but thank you for shoving it up my brain so much that I accept it now. Lol. For the confidence boosts, thank you as well. My whole point is just....thank you for everything that you did and will be doing in the future. Thank you so much for making my existence not burdensome and lonely. You're a gem, seriously. I'm lucky to have been your friend. Uwu.

To the other peeps in DreamlandCommunity upon whom I ranted/rambled to during the insane months of drafting MOFM, thank you for not getting tired of me and my endless emotional dump, especially in my corner. Special shout-out to AliKatMeow, Ry-reader-29, and v-XVIII for responding to my incessant (and probably annoying) monologues. You guys are heroes for not yeeting my corner off your view list. xD

Thanks to these wonderful readers, no matter where they are in my works (Mztville, 10todaMax, asi_ta_blueberry, Elaina78, Dooda79, Purple_Mist2, StephenBrown659, and many other silent ones). Thank you for the votes, for reading, and for saying you have enjoyed it, especially COF Main. Some of you have crossed to MOFM and are in danger of catching up to me as I write the works in this universe and for that, thank you so, so, so much. Because seriously, the notifications of your votes I get every day while writing MOFM is what kept me going. ;-; :-; :-;

Huge thank you to the artists in my playlists that accompanied me while I'm writing MOFM. Of course, special shout out to Stephen Sanchez, Cornelia Jakobs, Amanda Tenfjord, Anne-Marie, Camilla Cabello, Ed Sheeran, Zach Hood, MARO, Rosa Linn, S10, MEAU, Wild Youth, NIKI, LEON, Maisie Peters, Ben&Ben, Taylor Swift, and AURORA. Keep making your art, telling your stories, and pouring your heart into your music. Without your songs, I wouldn't have been distracted with singing and dancing along to your lyrics and beats.

Thank you to Wattpad for letting me post on their platform. Thank you as well to Truyen, NovelHD, Teenfic.net, and about a thousand of their spawns for mirroring my stories and my profile. For giving me a taste of what 7M reads looked and felt like, thank you as well. Now, go and die off, please. xD

Finally, thank you to my alter ego, Caeran, who pushed through all obstacles and schedule intrusions just to vomit out 385,000 words in the fastest amount of time possible. Thank you for giving up your uni vacation and for accepting the 65% final grade in Number Theory just so you could have some time to write these novellas. Thank you for fighting and, in the end, for winning.

The journey has continued and flourished. There are more stories in the world of Fantasilia and I don't think I'd be able to let this world go completely. I have finished my major project for 2022 but there is still a lot of room for more stories before we close this year. So, expect just that. Since this is posted in the update/announcement book, and if you have reached this point, I guess I will let you in on a treat as a reward.

And by treat, I meant title reveals of my next projects. These are just known as "SPs" for the longest time which meant "Secret Projects". In a way, they are. I've developed these under the radar and under my own plans' noses, too. Lol. The way I conceived their ideas are really quick and I felt like from September until December, I shouldn't stop writing. So, here you all go.

The first project, which I dubbed SP1, is going to be called Scapegoat. I can't wait to write this one because you all must see the cover. It's f***ng gorgeous eeeeeee. It has demons, shiny McGuffins, and elements of horror, action, and gore. After Kolibrie, I feel like I'm venturing deeper and deeper into the dark side of things. Lol. As expected, this is going to be rated Mature.

The second one, which I dubbed SP2, is formally going to be called Libelle. And no, it's not a continuation of Kolibrie even though they are named the same way (just to show off my Dutch knowledge, really). As a little teaser, this project will be romance—not my first time venturing into the genre but certainly my first doing it as the main plot—with a dash of fantasy and, to make things interesting, murder as well. This is set in an alternate Victorian Era and it's somewhere in the punk genres. lol.

These two projects are developed because I scrolled through the ONC 2022 prompts so hard that I wanted to write a story about all of them. But, as consolation, I settled on these two. xD

Lastly, I'll say that Piper: The Gods of Dansarun will be officially part of a series called The Piper of Mirchaek. There will be three books in the series but that could easily change because I have a penchant for making series(es) longer than necessary (Look at MOFM, for reference). I announced the sequel at the end of PGTD and it's titled Piper: The Spirits of Shaoryeong. I couldn't be more excited. Being able to write about my chaotic bby, Kai-Se, is a joy in itself. Uwu.

So yeah, if you made it down here, I applaud you. This is, by far, one of my longest rambles. xD

2023 will be an equally crazy year in terms of writing. The second and last novella series in the COF universe, The Unseen Wars, is coming. There will also be a new trilogy, my magnum opus for 2023, and other surprises along the way dropping sooner than you know it. Now that I know I can write 385,000 words in four months, nothing can stop me now.
