Step Two: Creating the Personality

This is a tricky part. I suggest breaking it down into five parts. Remember, you wont always get it right the first time. Changing and touching up the personality is perfectly fine.

Start with four words to describe your character (You don't have to do it this way, but it's the best way I can explain it).

Rose: Fierce, Bad-Tempered, Prideful and Aggressive.

Easy. Next, what do they like and dislike? Again, four of each.

Likes: Animals, Being Outdoors, Writing, Practicing with Weapons

Dislikes: Social Situations, Loud/Chatty People, Being Told What to Do, Cold

A little harder, but the image of your character is clearer now, right? Add in some hobbies.

Rose: Horseback Riding, Travelling, Sparring, Hand to Hand Combat

Good. Now, try to imagine how your character reacts in certain situations.

In a crowded club: Rose would most likely dance with guys she finds cute but would ignore most people.

Lost in the woods: Rose would be completely at peace - she loves the woods and being alone.

Someone being rude to them: Rose would physically attack them.

Makes some of your own situations and try to see how your character will react. Around this time you should also figure out your character's sexuality.
