Korone PoV

I opened the Discord group and pinged everyone.

Korone: [Guys! Look at this!]

I posted the picture.

Suisei: [Korone, who is this?]

Amelia: [Wait, this is him!]

Mio: [Him?]

Amelia: [That's the Guardsman I told you all about!]

Marine: [Wait! So HE's the one who shot Matsuri-chan?!]

Bae: [Damn, Matsuri wasn't lying. He IS young.]

Choco: [Bloodshot eyes, dilated pupils. Clear signs he is fatigued. Probably hasn't slept in weeks.]

Fuwawa: [He looks scary doesnn't he Moco-chan?]

Mococo: [Yeah.]

Coco: [I DON'T FUCKING CARE! I'M GOING TO KILL HIM WHEN HE GETS HERE!]

Noel: [Coco, calm down.]

Yagoo: [Korone, where is he right now?]

Korone: [He's here at the bakery. Grandma invited him in to rest.]

Calli: [What?! We've been searching him for this long and he just came right next to our door?!]

Yagoo: [Calli, where are you right now?]

Calli: [I'm with Gura and Nerissa, we're going to the bakery right now to go and get him.]

Yagoo: [Don't do anything stupid. Remember, he's armed.]

Kronii: [Has he done anything bad?]

Korone: [No, he hasn't done anything bad. But I can tell he's on alert.]

Fauna: [He's still cautious. Why don't we just... Invite him nicely?]

Calli: [No can do. We'll get him and bring him back to the studio, one way or another.]

Fauna: [Just don't go too hard on him.]

Kiara: [I wonder if he had eaten or not.]

Yagoo: [That's not important right now Kiara. Korone, I almost forgot, did you get his name?]

Korone: [He said his name is Vestian Rhodes. That's all he said.]

Yagoo: [I see, very well then. Let's try not to antagonize him.]

Calli: [Oh don't worry, we won't.]

Korone: [I'll keep an eye on him until you guys get here.]

I closed discord and placed my phone in my pocket, I then went back to the living room, to my surprise, Rhodes stood in front of me.

Korone (EN): Ah, Rhodes? Where are you going?

Rhodes (EN): Your grandmother told me there's a spare room upstairs. I'm going to take a rest before going out.

Korone (EN): Ooh, so you're not going to stay?

Rhodes (EN): No, I have to find a way to get back home.

Korone (EN): I see, then have a good rest.

He nods and went upstairs. Not long, Okayu walks up.

Okayu (JP): Korone, what were you doing?

Korone (JP): I informed everyone on discord that he's here with us.

Okayu (JP): Nani?! You know that's a bad idea!

Korone (JP): But if he goes out tomorrow... He'll hurt someone else... And he can get killed... But if he's with us at Hololive then he'll be save. 

Okayu (JP): Korone, Coco is mad at him because he killed her friend. Kronii is also angry at him.

Korone (JP): I know Okayu, we just need to gain his trust, and if he can then he'll be safe.

Rhodes PoV

I opened the door to the spare room, there was nothing in it but a place to rest is always appreciated.

Rhodes: This will do I guess.

I took off my backpack on my back with everything on it, kit, medical supplies... I guess I'm really down to only Corpse Starch...

I placed down my backpack flat on the floor, I tend to use it as a pillow. Better than sleeping on hard ground.

Rhodes: It's better than nothing.

I laid down on my back and rested my head on my backpack, I placed my lasgun next to me for reasons of course.

Rhodes: Time to try and catch some rest.

I slowly started to snooze off, my body felt weightless as I drifted into sleep.

*Time skip, 5 hours later*
*still Rhodes PoV*

I slowly and tiredly opened my eye, I turned my head to see the clock inside the room. 15:30, only slept for five hours...

Rhodes: Guess it's time to go.

I got up and strapped on my backpack and picked up my lasgun, I went to the door and opened it and I then went downstairs. The living room was empty but the door to the front of the bakery was slightly opened. I can also hear a lot of talking. I peeked through the opening.

Weird things in blue...

Necrons?

And some weird birds, I can also see some weird feathered beings, it's hard to describe them. 

There were also three women who are talking with both Korone, and Okayu, they're talking like they know each other? They know these abominations?

Rhodes: Damn heretics...

I felt my around my belt rig and grabbed one of my Frag grenades, I grabbed a wire string from a table nearby and rigged the grenade in front of the door to explode when it's opened. I hid behind the large chair and waited the door was opened.

*Creak*

I waited.

*Click*

I waited...

*Tink*

Now.

Moments before the door opens
Calli PoV

I was at the front of the Bakery talking with Okayu and Korone, along with Korone's Grandmother.

Korone (JP): Calli-san, try to be nice to him. He needs time to think what had happened and time to process all of the events that landed on him.

Calli (JP): Korone, I think that might've gone out the window, he's caused a lot of trouble.

Okayu (JP): He's a nice person Calli-san! He told me what had happened and what he did before he came here!

Korone's Grandmother (JP): If he's still asleep then I'll go wake him up, he has been through a lot.

Gura (JP): Okay okay, can we get him now?

Nerissa (JP): I don't have a good feeling about this...

I turned to one of my Deadbeats.

Calli (EN): Open the door.

Deadbeat (EN): As you say, my queen.

I saw the deadbeat open the door slowly.

*Creak*

Deadbeat (EN): There's something stuck-

*Tink*

Deadbeat (EN): Huh?

I was able to hear an audible steel tink sound, it took me a while to realize...

It was a grenade.

*BOOM*

The grenade explodes as all of us were thrown aback by the blast.

Korone (JP): AAAAHHHHHH!!!!

Calli's mind: A booby trap?! He woke more earlier than I thought!

Korone's Grandmother (JP): Oh my god!

Korone's Grandmother went into a shock, the grenade had blasted the door off and the Deadbeat I told to open the door was also blown a part.

Calli (EN): Gura, Nerissa! Are you two okay?!

Gura (EN): I'm fine!

Nerissa (EN): M-Me too!

Calli (EN): That guy's still in there! Go in!

I saw a Deadbeat, a Shrimp, and a Jailbird trying to enter at the same time.

A laser pierced the three of them instantly, blowing apart the Deadbeat and killing both the Shrimp, and Jailbird.

Okayu (JP): A-A single shot...

*Rushed footsteps*

I a very rushed footstep in the living room, he had moved.

Calli (EN): Come on! 

I ran inside followed with Gura and Nerissa, my remaining Deadbeats along with Shrimps and Jailbirds, he had moved somewhere else.

Calli (EN): Be careful, he could've laid more booby trapped grenades here.

I walked, carefully trying not to trip on any wire that could be attached to a grenade. I looked around the floor.

Korone (JP): Behind you!

I tried to turn as fast as I can.

Rhodes (EN): RRAAAGH!!

Rhodes PoV (That exact moment)

I had dethatched the bayonet from my lasgun and hid behind a bar counter

Calli (EN): Be careful, he could've booby trapped grenades here.

Rhodes' thoughts: That's the only damn good frag grenade I had, I'm down to only a krak grenade and a faulty frag!

I stood up.

Korone (JP): Behind you!

She turned around but her hand was still on the counter

Rhodes: RRAAAGH!!

I drove my bayonet on to her hand, essentially embedding it into the counter.

Calli (EN): AAAGHH- MY HAND!

Gura (EN): CALLI!

I saw a necron running over, I swung my lasgun around and fired off a shot, destroying it into bits.

Blue suited 1 (EN): Come on get him!

One of those blue suited things jumped over the counter and managed to smack my lasgun away.

I retaliated by punching it in the face before grabbing a bottle then smashing it on it's head before I stabbed it with the broken glass bottle. I leapt over the counter and got a hold of my lasgun again.

Rhodes: Come on! Is that all you've bastards got?!

I taunted at them, I shot another blue suit before shooting a raven.

Necron 2 (EN): Gotcha!

One of those necrons lunged at me, subsequently the others piled up on top of me.

Raven 3 (EN): Come on give it up! We ain't here to fight you!

Necron 2 (EN): It'll be easier if you comply!

Comply? To these xenos? Not in a thousand deaths I will!

Rhodes' thoughts: Emperor hear me, grant me your strength!

(Skill awakened: Emperor's fury)

Out of my own sheer force of will, I pushed up the pile of them.

Raven 3 (EN): What the hell?!

Rhodes: Get off of me you xenos scum!

I had managed to kick them off of me, I stood up and switched the firing mode of my lasgun to fully automatic.

Rhodes: Eat laser and die!

I pulled the trigger and gunned the ones in front of me down, the necrons only turned to dust and the blue suits and ravens had their limbs shot off. I looked off to my right to see one of the necrons trying to get the bayonet I stuck to the pink haired girl off of her hand.

Calli (EN): Can you hurry up?!

Necron 5 (EN): I'm trying my queen! The knife is really stuck to the counter!

I aimed at the girl and clicked back to single shot, I then pressed the trigger and my lasgun fired at her. She grabbed the necron and used it as a shield.

Necron 5 (RN): Wha-?! My queen?!

Calli (EN): Sorry for this!

My lasgun's laser destroyed the necron but still hit her shoulder. I tried to fire again.

*Click*

The trigger only made a click sound, I looked at the battery mag and saw the indicator on red.

Rhodes: Damn it! Forgot to charge!

I reached for one of my belt pockets which had a spare battery pack, I saw that another shadow loomed over mine. I twist over to see that the girl with the shark tail tried to jump me.

Gura (EN): Come here!

I managed to step to my side and she landed precisely where I was standing, I fisted up my hand before delivering a punch to her nose.

Gura (EN): Ow! My nose!

I then saw the demon girl swing her spear, it hit my lasgun and knocked it off my hands the second time.

Nerissa (EN): We're not here to fight with you! Please, this doesn't have to go worse!

I grabbed the handle of a spare bayonet I had on me and pulled it out of it's sleeve.

Rhodes: I'd rather die standing than to surrender myself to you.

(Please note that Rhodes doesn't know shit about them)

One of the blue suits charged at me, I only had to stab it in the neck to kill it. The demon girl took the chance and swung her spear at me again, only this time I managed to parry it with my spare bayonet and it gave me the opening to get up close and kick her in the gut.

Nerissa (EN): Aghh!

Gura (EN): Nerissa!

I saw the shark girl trying to stand up, I only had to punch her in the nose again to send her back down.

Gura (EN): Ow! Not my nose again!

One of the last ravens ran up, I plunged the bayonet into it's thigh.

Raven 1 (EN): Aaagh!

I grabbed a hold of it's head and proceeded to rip it's head off. Blood splattered from it's neck and stained my armor, the floor, the ceiling and basically everything. I threw the ripped head aside, and got my lasgun again. I threw out the empty battery pack and replaced it with a fresh one, then clipped the spare bayonet on to the barrel of my lasgun.

Gura (EN): Ow...

The shark girl tried to stand up again, I decided this time to just kick her in the nose again with my boot.

Gura (EN): OW! Why always my nose?!

I looked at Korone, I raised my lasgun to my shoulder and took aim. She was scared, I fought myself not to pull the trigger and kill her there, but the other half of me is fighting to shoot her. I know that if I shoot her I'll regret what I did.

Rhodes' thoughts: Don't make me do this...

??? (EN): Woooh! Gotta say champ, you really went all out!

I turned to my left to see another girl, this one had mostly red hair but some strands were white and some were black. She also had ears akin to that of a rat, as a precaution I aimed at her.

Rhodes: Who are you now? And how the hell did you get here?

??? (EN): Who cares! I'm Chaos anyways!

Chaoss?! Great, now this is going to be Cadia all over again.

Rhodes: What do you want heretic?

??? (EN): Whoa whoa there. We're not here to fight you actually, you're the one who started this all.

I looked back and kept my lasgun aimed at her, seeing a boiling kettle behind me got an idea.

Rhodes: Well, I'll just tell you this. Rot in the warp!

I spun around to grab the kettle and threw it at her, the hot water spilled out and splashed on her face.

??? (EN): AAAHHHHHH!!!! IT'S HOT!! HOTTT!!!

Calli (EN): Bae!

*Bang*
*Ptang*

Rhodes: Unf!

Gura (EN): AHHH!!

I looked over to the shark girl, the bullet from her gun had ricocheted off my flak armor and back at her hitting her shoulder.

Calli (EN): Gura!!

I aimed my lasgun at her nearing to pull the trigger.

Nerissa (EN): Oh no you don't! 

The horned girl rushed at me and swung her dual edged spear, I used my lasgun to block a strike used it as a spear itself given that my lasgun has a bayonet on it.

Rhodes: I'll kill the lot of you bastards!

I swiped the butt of my lasgun's stock to her face and lined up the bayonet before thrusting it into her abdomen.

Nerissa (EN): GAHH!!

Calli (EN): NERISSA!!

I pulled the trigger of my lasgun and fired a shot right into her abdomen.

Calli (EN): NOO!!

I yanked the bayonet out of her abdomen, I watched as she looked at me for a moment before she falls on to the floor.

I looked at the rat eared girl and raised my lasgun.

I heard sirens flared.

Rhodes: Damned!

I rushed towards the front.

Bae (EN): RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN RHODES! WHEN I GET YOU HELL WILL BE A RESORT!!

I couldn't care less what she said, I vaulted over the counter and made a run for it.

Necron 1 (EN): He's getting away!

I grabbed the last of my frags which wasn't functional and threw it behind me before I jumped backwards into the window and fired my lasgun at the grenade which hits and explodes the grenade. The sirens became louder and I booked it and ran as far and as fast as I could.

Several hours later.
Outskirts of Tokyo

I had for some time and decided to look back I had reached the outskirts of the city, I also realized it was night time.

Rhodes: *sigh* I'll have to find a place to camp I guess...

I looked around and saw a trail leading off into a forest. Shaking my head I decided to go into the forest where it was blocked off by a bunch of yellow straps saying "Police".

Rhodes: Well there's no other choice...

I ripped down the tapes and went further in, what I saw didn't amuse me.

Rhodes: Why am I not surprised?

I walked deeper and deeper into the forest, I hoped I can find a way to get back and hopefully not get killed by my commissar.
