See you around
*chris's pov*
Chris's leg hurt like hell, the pain slowly spreading up his body, making tears gather in his hazel eyes. He had first felt the prick of pain about a month ago, but shrugged it off. No way it could be coming back.
But the pain had gotten worse. A lot worse, so Chris had told it parents. They shrugged him off, claiming it was just his imagination, or stress was making his brain recall memories of pain. They were both wrong, of course, not that either of his parents cared. After it had gotten better, and Chris was no longer the adorable 5 year old they had adopted from the UK, he was more of just a problem.
Yea, a problem. A screw up. A mess. Whatever. Chris enjoyed being alone, not having anyone worrying over him. Sometimes it was heart breakingly lonely, knowing no one cared, but other times it was peaceful. Normally it was peaceful.
Now, a stranger-no Pj- was standing in front of him, helping guide Chris to the front desk, while he tried not to moan in pain. It reminded the lonely boy that there was always someone out there, looking out for you, even if you didn't know them. And that someone just so happened to have an adorable smile.
"You okay?" Pj asked, his messy curls falling into his green eyes.
"Y-yea..." Chris muttered. Didn't I already answer that question, or was it just my mind, crazy with pain, Chris wondered.
"I j-just need help m-making it to the front desk." he jesters to the front desk, and Pj nodded, wrapping his arms around Chris's waist, pretty much dragging him along. Desperately, he tried to think of something funny to say, and normally was good at that, but now all the could think about was the ache in his left led.
Black dotted Chris's eye sight, and it was all he could do to keep moving forward, trying not to weigh the kind stranger down.
They made it to the front desk, and a male nurse, with pale purple hair, and thick cute classes, looked up at them.
"Peej, who's this? What's wrong?" The nurse asked with a slight lisp.
"I-I'm Chris." he muttered, closing his eyes. "Chris Kendall. I sh-should be in your system somewhere."
Tyler, according to his name tag nodded. "Ah, yup. I see you... You're not due for a check up... Are you here for an emergency?"
"Y-yea..." He whispered, looking the celling to stop tears of pain from falling.
"Okay, here just fill this out." Tyler handing him a clip bored with a worried smile.
Chris nodded, and took a clip board, along with the papers on top of it. He was about to walk into the waiting room, and sit down, when his leg fell out from under.
Swearing, Pj managed to catch Chris before he feel on the hard ground.
"Woah, you okay?!" Tyler yelped, coming around the desk, grabbing a wheel chair, and helping Pj sit Chris in it.
"I wish people would stop asking me that!" Chris spat, feeling guilty right afterwards. "S-sorry..."
"Don't be." Pj patted his back, and took the clip board from Chris.
"I'll fill this out for you, what's your last name again?"
"K-kendlle." Tyler started pushing Chris down a long hallway, bright lights blind him, as his head started to pound.
"What's your age? Date of birth? Previous medical issues?"
Chris answered all of the questions, on the way to his room, and Pj was happy to fill them out for him. The beeps of medical machines seemed to make his head ache worsen.
"Here..." Tyler pushed Chris through the door way. "Where are your parents? Should I call them?" The nurse asked worriedly, all ready walking to the phone near the door, and searching through Chris's past paper work for the number.
"I-I was going for a w-walk and s-suddenly couldn't w-walk..." Chris tried to explain, but stuttered over his words.
Tyler nodded, but didn't reply because Chris's parents had picked up, so he left the room to talk to them.
There was an uncomfortable silence now, in between Chris and Pj, were the stranger looked at his feet, and Chris looked at the stranger.
"It's getting sorta late...." Pj muttered and Chris nodded, completely understanding. "And my parents might get worried, so I should go."
"Y-yea okay, th-thanks for helping me." Pj smiled at Chris's words.
"Course. See you around okay?" Then, before Chris could proceed that see you around okay? meant that he'd be seeing Pj later, the stranger left.
