I Have a Story
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"
The wailing started again, only this time louder. Sure, it was very loud, but at least it stopped Ubercorn from yelling at the Go Jetters. Phew.
"What was that?" Tim asked.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!"
"There!" Lily said, pointing at the doorway. Everybody turned to the place she was pointing at.
Bailey stood there, looking exhausted. In her hands, she held her son, Ace, who was crying like mad in her arms. She was rocking him from side to side in an attempt to calm him down, but it seemed like no use, considering she seemed too tired to hold him there at the moment.
"What in the world is going on here? I can't get Ace to sleep with all this yelling and fighting. I feel like falling asleep myself!" She yawned.
Kyle ran to Bailey and took the crying baby off her arms. "I'll get him to sleep for ya, B. Don't worry."
"Thanks, but as I said: What's going on?"
"The Go Jetters are fighting like mad." Said Ubercorn, pointing at the four teens.
"What happened?" Bailey asked them.
"Kyan doesn't wanna share!" Foz said.
"No way! It's Xuli who doesn't wanna share!!!" Kyan snapped.
"Hey!!! You're the greedy one!!" Xuli said sharply.
"Guys, can't we just-?" Lars began.
"SHUT UP LARS!!!!!!!!!" The other three yelled.
"Okay..." said Lars shyly.
"Share what?" Said Bailey, folding her arms.
"THE STAR!!" Shouted the younger three Go Jetters.
"Is it seriously that important?!" Bailey said solemnly.
"Yeah!!" Xuli snapped in return.
Bailey turned to Ubercorn.
"Will they make friends again, Ubercorn?" She asked.
"After this, I don't think that's gonna be too easy. I mean...after they hurt each other this badly..." Said the unicorn, pointing at the bruised Go Jetters.
"How are we gonna get them back together...we're gonna need a lot of supplies and a big plan..." Said Bailey.
"Sto-wee! Sto-wee! Mama sto-wee!!" Ace, who had just stopped crying, said.
Bailey perked up.
"Y'know, that's not a bad idea, Ace!" She chirped.
"What do you mean?" Tim asked.
Bailey said nothing but scurried to a bookshelf. She rummaged through the books of geography, nursery rhymes, pilot histories, and air shows. Until...
"Found it!" She called. At that cue, she took out an old-looking book.
It looked old and bettered, consisted of a number of pages. The title was big and bold in red letters. It said:
A Christmas Carol
By Charles Dickens
"Here it is!" She added, running back to the others.
"A Christmas Carol," Said Ubercorn, smiling at the mention of the book's name, "Did you know that your mother used to read that very story to me and our other friends when we were younger every year at Christmas?"
"She told me so," Said Bailey cheerily, "she did it every year to improve everyone's Christmas spirit! She loved to read it when everyone was seated around the fire, dressed in their robes and slippers, and drinking a nice, warm mug of hot chocolate."
"Sorry for interrupting that flashback, but how's that gonna help fix things between them?" Tim asked, pointing at the still-frowning Go Jetters.
"You'll see." Said Bailey, smiling, "Now all we need are a bunch of blankets, a stoked fire, and some nice mugs of hot chocolate."
"We got it covered!" Lily giggled, as she and Tim saluted. They got up and ran to the kitchen for the second time in six minutes.
