On Hermitcraft. . .

"Doc what did you wanna show me? Does it have to do with that humongous tower you seem to have built out by the Shadow Dome?"

"Yes yes! Come Ren, trust me! This will change the server, let me show you what it does!"

A creeper hybrid tugs his wolfborn friend along a new path, towards a tall tower with spiky legs and a dark aura surrounding it.

They approach the base, the taller male leading the other inside and up a winding staircase.

"So, this is supposed to change the server? In what way?" Ren asked, looking at the strange contraption in the center of the room they had entered.

"Yes. This was made from a schematic that I recovered from Grian after we had killed him." Docm77 said, grinning as he showed off his creation.

"Wait this was in that book that appeared?" Ren asked, looking over at his friend.

"Yep. I don't know for sure what it does but we might as well test it out!"

The shorter brunette stepped back from the redstone contraption in the center of the room as Doc fiddled with buttons and levers connected to it, pressing a button with finality and stepping back to join Ren.

"Just one more thing... there! It's done!" Zedaph wiped his forehead, having just finished a strange new contraption that he hoped would create something that would help the Hermits and their giant moon problem.

He quickly stepped back and grabbed his notepad, checking his device three times over before turning it on.

A red-clad Doomguy lookalike was in a tall tower, attempting to get his awry powers under control.

"Argh! Why won't this work? Stupid moon must be messing with my powers." He muttered, flinging his hands and flinching when multicolored blobs of energy and light shot out without warning.

"I need to get this under control. That silly axolotl will come to his senses soon."

Meanwhile, in another world. . .

The clashing of blades was heard ringing throughout the underground arena as two fighters dueled on a small hill.

"Faster Tommy! Come on, I know you can swing faster than that!" The gruff voice of the older brother called out, neatly spinning and catching the blade of a sweaty blonde teenager.

"I'm tired! Come on why can't we just stop Tech?"

"In a real battle you opponent won't stop the battle 'cause you're tired! Fight through it! Let the adrenaline fuel your movements!"

The older of the two brothers eventually disarms the younger, a sword flying away and clanging to the ground a few yards away.

Breathing heavy, the duo got down from the hill and took a break, the blonde sitting down with a huff.

"You're getting better. Not by much, but slowly you're improving." The Piglin hybrid said, sipping water slowly to rehydrate himself.

"Really? Doesn't seem like it." Tommy hung his head, panting softly from the exertion of their duel.

"You are. Tommy, it took me years just to master the basics of fighting, not to mention the finer details." Technoblade says as he puts away the practice gear the two had been using.

"Fair enough. I mea--" suddenly Tommy doubled over in pain, clutching his stomach.

"Tommy? Tommy! Toms what's wrong?" Techno ran over to the shorter teen, attempting in any way he could to help.

The blonde curled up in pain, beginning to glitch strangely, colored blips appearing briefly before disappearing.

Before long, Tommy was full-on glitching and static noise was coming in spurts along with the colorful blobs.

Within a minute of him starting to glitch, Tommy disappeared.

Gone.

Just like that.

As Techno was trying to figure out where Tommy had gone, a different figure glitched into existence.

He had stark white hair, a dark blue headband with some sort of metal plate on it, along with a dark blue mask covering the bottom half of his face.

The rest of his clothes weren't much different, dark blue shirt and pants with a dull green vest, and blue sandals on his feet.

And two different colored eyes.

Wait.

Two different colored eyes?

The strange new person sat up quickly and put a strange sort of knife to Technoblade's throat, surprising the piglin hybrid.

"Who are you and where am I." An unfamiliar voice said. It seemed to come from the stranger, although Techno couldn't be sure.

"I'm Technoblade. Who are you?"

"I'm asking the questions here, Technoblade. Where am I?" The dark knife-like thing pressed farther into Technoblade's neck.

"This is the Dream SMP. We're in an underground training facility that one of my good friends built. And I suggest you get that pretty little knife away from my throat." Techno's eyes flashed red, his muscles tensing in preparation for a fight.

The stranger backed away and stood up, slipping the strange blade away into a pouch tied to his thigh. Sighing, he looked around, taking stock of his surroundings as Technoblade stood up.

"So your friend built this?"

"Yeah. Actually I should probably tell him to get down here. He won't be happy that Tommy's gone and you're here instead."

The pink haired man walked over to his items, pulling out a communicator and typing a few words into it before setting it back down beside a fancy looking crown.

"So what are you called?" Techno asked the masked man, turning to face him.

"I'm Etho. Not that it really matters, since this definitely isn't anywhere where anyone will know me." Etho shrugged.

"Techno what the fuck did you do?" A British voice called down as a man in a green and black kimono quickly decended a ladder in the middle of the room.

"I did nothing Phil."

"Then who the fuck is this Kakashi-lookalike? What's he doing here?" The new man said, fixing his green and white striped hat so it rested level on his head.

"I'm Etho. Nice outfit, Bleach inspired?" Etho said, a smirk evident in his voice.

"Yeah. Guess we both like anime." Phil smiles. "Anyway. Why are you here?"

Etho shrugged. "I have absolutely no idea. All I know, is that I was organizing my storage system and putting stuff away, when suddenly I was in immense pain and was glitching or something, and then I passed out and woke up here with the pig-guy looking at me weird. So I may have put a kunai to his throat."

"Holy fuck. Okay. We need to figure out how you got here and how to get you back. From what Techno told me, that's what happened with Tommy, as far as the glitching and passing out bit." Phil ran a hand through his hair, looking off into the distance like he could see Tommy in some distant world confused and scared.

Cause he was confused and scared. Just not in the way Phil was thinking.

Tommy was running. Running through a forest toward god-knows where. He had woken up in some terraformed shattered savanah, and jumped off into the water below before running away and through the dark oak forest. He stayed away from any paths he saw, not trusting them or anyone who may be on them.

He attempted to quickly cross the path, not looking as well as he should have, and he ended up crashing into someone who was walking on the path.

Both of them fell backwards, colored boxes falling from the other person's arms.

"Oh I'm so sor- uhh, hallo.. you don't look familiar. Are you a new member or-"

"G-get the fuck away from me!" Tommy scrambled backwards and attempted to get up and start running, a wild look in his eyes.

"Whoa whoa! Kid I'm not gonna hurt you- I'm Iskall. I promise, I'm not hostile." The Swede got up and brushed themself off, extending a hand to the younger male.

Tommy knocked their hand away, getting up off the ground and shakily dusting himself off.

"Wh-where am I?" The blue eyed blonde asked, looking around.

"This is Hermitcraft. It's a large multi-player survival server." Iskall explained, gesturing around them.

"Th- Hermitcraft? What kind of name is that?" Tommy asked

"Oh, I uh I actually don't know why the server is called Hermitcraft. It just is." The Swede shrugged. "Anyway, what's your name?"

"I-I'm Tommy." He said as Iskall picked up their shulker boxes and put them in their inventory.

"Alright Tommy. Come with me back to my base, I'll grab Etho and we can figure out what we can do." The Swede smiled and the two set off towards the shattered savanah.

"Oh I woke up in some weird cave up there. Lots of moss and a tree in the middle." Tommy pointed up towards the main hub of the shattered savanah, where you could just see the wooden builds half sticking out of the cliffside.

"That sounds like Etho and I's storage room. Did you see anyone up there?" Iskall led the taller teen to the bubble elevator.

"No, I was the only one up there."

"Hmmm. That's odd. Etho told me he would be sorting out his shulkers and wouldn't be leaving all day."

"Etho?"

There was no sign of the masked man, half-emptied shulker boxes piled in and outside the shared storage room.

"He- he's gone. This isn't like him. Not at all. Etho never leaves a mess like this."

Little did they know, Etho was on Tommy's world, carelessly shoved in his place and confused, just as Tommy was.
