Sunday Morning 10..

Phone kept buzzing and disturbing my sleep, I kept moving and trying to reach my phone. With half open eyes I looked at my phone and it's not even mine. I moved even more to get hit by my friend's shoulder. I reached towards her to end the call when I saw the Id and it was her mom. Putting her phone back I decided to get up from bed and move downstairs towards the kitchen. This whole property is such a vibe, maybe I'll ask Ray and rent it out for the weekends or I'll rent out as AirBnb when I need a break.
It's been such a nice break with no office people, Sidhanth. It's just me and my gang.

I make my way out only to find ray smiling to himself but this guy has been hiding something and how on earth is up this early, when we all slept late.

"Rayyy!! How did u wake up early?" I asked making my way towards the counter.

" I just woke up two minutes ago!" He smiled but he is hiding something.

I was making my way towards the kettle when my friend pulled my hair and ran, I decided to run behind him and in order pull his hair I ended up jumping on him. And my friend who never holds me for the first time held me. And I could sense his grip getting tighter. I peeped my head towards the direction of the door. Only to find two people standing there in utter shock. I guess I thought of sidhanth too soon. Because he was standing there with Ray's girlfriend.

"Sahir, put me down." I asked wiggling out of his grip. But he didn't obviously. Why would he ? He knows about sidanth and to my bad luck he also saw a picture of me and sidanth.

"Sahir, leaver her now. We have people!" Ray sounded more strict.

Listening to Ray, he left me but I had to hide behind sahir and ray because my dress is a bit inappropriate to be infront of Sidhanth. I mean I was just wearing a short and a crop top. I was just looking at Sid from Sahir's shoulder. And he was just blankly staring. Ray saw I wasn't feeling comfortable and he gave a hoodie that was laying on the sofa there..!

I quickly wore it and came out and stood next to sahir. When ruhan came from behind.

"Bro, that's my hoodie." Ruhan said pointing towards me.

"Babe who is this guy here?" Ray asked ignoring ruhan.

"Looks like you, all just woke up" Cara just spoke looking at us specially with some weird look.

"We were partying last night" sahir spoke trying to keep his calm

" Well, he is a close friend of mine. I mean his sister is a good friend and like that Sid also became a good friend. I couldn't come yesterday because I had to meet him. Got to know that he was in london on short notice." Cara clarified.

"You all didn't think to wake me up?" Swara's voice came from the staircase she is unaware of the new people that were there.

"Now that everyone is here, I would like to say something." Ray spoke this time.

"Can that thing wait? We will just freshen up." I cut Ray in between.

He looked at me and Swara and understood that we don't look anywhere near presentable he just noded.

Sahir, Ruhan and I just made our towards upstairs. Shair not leaving my side at all.

The moment I step into the room I let out a sigh and make my way towards washroom to freshen up and come out. And sahir is back again in the room.

"Dude, what the hell?" I sound really pissed of.

"What?" Sahir was to casual

"You know swara and me are here and we might be changing and you walked in?" I was sounding serious

"One, swara is my girlfriend I have seen her naked. And coming to you, you always change in the washroom and get this in your head I ain't leaving you at all today" Sahir said in his stern voice.

"That doesn't mean you will barge into my personal space sahir." I have every right to be pissed off.

Meanwhile Swara came out looking absolutely confused.

"Sahir, why the hell r u still here? I thought you came to see me." Swara was confused as hell.

" Babe, I am here because I'm not letting akshi be alone. Sidanth rajput is here." Sahir stated his reason

"Just leave now. I am with her, so get out" Swara pushed sahir away.

Swara and I quickly got ready and went downstairs only to see sahir staring at Sid. I mentally facepalmed myself.

"Bro, get your man in line, he is being a total psycho." I said this to swara and she just chuckled.

I made myself comfy on the dinning table when sahir and swara came and sat next to me as if something will happen if they leave me for a second. Ruhan stood behind me like a bodyguard.

These people will be die in my hands.

Ray was just staring and disapproving the whole thing, he doesn't even have slight idea. I don't think he knows anything about sidanth or anything related to me. Swara and sahir also got to know because of one those deep conversations we had during late nights at my place.

Sidanth passed me the coffee and getting a glare from sahir. It's like both of them are having some glaring competition.

"Now that everyone is here and I have your attention can I speak?" Ray spoke.

Just when I was about to make a eye contact with Ray. I saw a ring on Cara's hand. Oh my my

"Rayy--" I shouted

"Cara and I got engaged last week and we were supposed to host the gateway, let's forget everything and enjoy the rest of the day. And I'll be dropping all of u guys tomorrow morning so don't come saying we need to leave and all." Ray interuptted me.

Listening to this news everyone was happy and jumping with joy. Sahir and Ruhan jumped on Ray for a group hug. Swara and I congratulated Cara.

"When r u guys getting married" swara asked

"We haven't finalized the date yet." Cara responded.

"I'll cook on this happy occasion." Ruhan said making everyone laugh.

"For now can we just eat this breakfast" ray came in admist our laughing session.

Everyone engaged in their conversations when my phone rang and I excused myself.

I went out towards the garden area and sat on the swing and answered my call.

On video call

"Yo amma" I greeted my mom.

"Adhi anta kadu next month ravachu ga India, eppudu chudu work work work antav." My mom voiced out her concern

"Alex ledu amma, na work anta report cheyali kada tanaki?" I said making some excuse.

"Eppudu vastadu mari?" My mom asked

" Adhi anta kadu, monna meeting lo em ayindo telusa." I finally let out my frustration.

My dad took the phone now.

"Em ayindi ma? Anta okay kada? Em ayina problem ga unte chepu." Dad was extremely worried

" Em avaledu baba, na team ki oka kotha intern vachadu, na important files ani misplace chesaadu, aaroju enta pedha meeting undo. Aa files na dagara backup lo undi kabati saripoyindi ledu ante na cilent potadi na job kuda potadi." I told the whole fiasco. 

"Ayithe vadini ne team nunchi remove chey, adhi chese right undi ga." My mom spoke this time.

" Repu morning first adhe chesta, meeting Friday avadam valla em cheyalekapoya." I told out my plan

I saw sidhant walking towards me.

"Sare, tarvta call chesta na friends toh bayata unna." I told this and ended the call

Sid came and sat next to me and I was about to leave.

"Sit for a while, I promise I won't eat you." He smiled

" I don't want to anywhere near you." I said and was leaving

"Aki please? Sit down for a minute atleast." His voice was low and sad.

"Is everything ok?" I was curious

"You will talk if something is troubling me?" He looked at me and smiled.

"I don't think I can sit with you in silence. I don't think we have that relation to be with each other comfortabley even in silence." I told him making myself clear.

" It's bothering me Aki, everything does bother me." He finally spoke

"All these years without you, I managed but you came back again and I don't how to get back to normal life where u don't exist, I can't stay in peace knowing that you are here. You are so close to me, yet so far." He just spoke looking into my eyes and I couldn't do anything but stare.

" I haven't told about you to Akash, so think of it as we never met." I said finally breaking the silence.

"But akash met my dad." He told and I was shocked. How does he know that?

"The same day we met, think of it as coincidence or not." He completed

" So? The moment I tell akash that you are here and talking to me, he will book his next flight and come to take me back home. This is the life I have created. Look around my friends my office life. Everything that I love way too much. I don't think I will give you that right to take that away from me. I'm not saying Akash has the right. But I will never go against him or my parents. You and I both know that your dad hates me as much as akash hates you." I left him after saying this.

I went back towards the living area where was casually having their conversation. I just slid next to swara and hugged her. She is someone I can rely on when I need anything. She looked at with a small smile. I think she understood that I'm not ok with Sid being this close to me.

"Anyways, let's order some food? Instead ruhan killing us with his food." Swara spoke making everyone laugh and ruhan huffing in anger.

The whole afternoon went with everyone eating and enjoying each other's company. After that conversation Sid didn't come close to me or spoke to anyone else he was just silent.

It was evening time and I saw Ruhan standing in corner with cigar. That's what it looked like.

"It's haram, you shouldnt smoke." I smacked his head.

"I know that's why I am not smoking it's sidhant that's smoking, atleast look around." Ruhan said and I saw Sidanth and was about to leave when Cara joined.

She took the cigar from sidanth's hand and started smoking. She let out the smoke right on my face. I dont know if she did it on purpose or by mistake. From the time she is here, her vibes are off with me. I turned my head to other side. She passed the cigar towards me and I put my hand forward.

Ray hit my hand.

"What the hell are u doing, Aks?" Ray was angry now.

I smiled.

" Babe, she doesn't smoke and she is just joking around you." Ray was stern this time.

I left when I heard Sid say something and Ray defended me.

I was in kitchen taking out something to eat and that's when Cara came in. I passed her a beer can. She refused it.

"You do know that I don't like you right?" Cara was straight forward.

"May I know why?" I ain't bullshiting around.

"Because of your past with Sid, and you hurt Meera as well." Cara was serious and this pissed me off

"Past? I'm sorry ? What? You say you  hate me because I am your boyfriend's girl best friend than I'll understand you are possessive. I'll understand. But you don't have a right to hate me for something you don't even know. Sidanth and I don't have any past. We only knew each other for a month and that's it." I was so pissed off.

I left the room and stormed out to the garden......
