Akansha's PoV

Sid's hand on my thigh is making me uncomfortable and his smiling face is making me want to bang his face to the table..!!
I lifted his middle finger and making it bend backwards causing me wince in pain and take the effing hand.

Chris saw this and smiled towards me and said "Well, my sweetheart knows how to handle her shit."

I smiled and noded and turned my head towards Ria

"Riii, when is Alex coming back from New York?"

Instead of Ria, John intertwines.

"Why do you need Alex now? Are u planning on going ahead with your project??" He was shocked and concerned and I don't want anyone to know about my project especially Sid.

"Oh God, no no. I want Alex so that I can talk about this new guy on my team I don't even know who the hell added him in my team. I don't even remember interviewing him." I said letting out my frustration

"Who is Alex?" Sid questioned, literally making everyone turn their head towards him

"Um? Excuse me? How come you are working without knowing who Alex is?" Kieara started being a little offended. I can't blame her for that

"Well he is one of the name partners. Akansha and Kieara directly work under him" Ria stated.

"Technically speaking even you come under him." John stated anger evident in his voice.

"Didn't you tie up your firm with him? How come you don't him." Chris was confused.

"Well, everything related to this firm is handled by my sister Meera, she was supposed to be here in London, destiny had other plans and I ended up here. So sorry if I don't know anything about your company or your bosses." He stated back to his rude self.

"Why is your sister not here Mr.Rajput?" Ria asked.

"The ones that stayed back would have to attend my dad's business meetings and conferences, I don't like anything that's associated with my dad, so I chose to come here." Sid 's voice was low and hurt.

Did Sid actually stop talking to his dad after that incident. The way he walked out of the party is still in my mind....

"I'm anyway leaving next week." Sid continued and this time looking at me.

He is leaving soon? I should be happy right. But it's not making me happy.

"We will miss you though" Kieara stated and the rest noded. Chris just made a plain face.

Our food arrived and we started eating..

"You know what Mr.Rajput, you will miss out Akansha's cooking, like she makes the best Indian food." Kieara said while making a eye contact with me.

"He is an Indian and there is no way he would love my food." I said with a small smile.

"Sidanth, you should go over to her place tomorrow, not alone we will join as well." Ria was talking now and I want them to shut up.

"Noooo" that's what I managed to say.

"You ok, sweetheart?" Chris pointed out his concern

"Yes, actually I'm going away for the weekend so won't be able to host anyone for lunch or dinner." I managed with a smile not wanting anyone to know that I don't want any alone time with Sid at my place.

"Anyways, coming back to Alex, he will be coming by next week and whatever concerns you have, you can put forward it with Lee." Ria stated and continued eating her food.

"I am thinking I'll just give away this intern to ruffooo" I said while chewing my food, this pasta is actually good.

"Why on earth you keep calling him ruffo even when you are in office?" Ki sounding pissed at this point, she never liked me and ruffo bonding 😂😂. I can smell jealousy

"Ruffo and I joined together and we have like spent late nights at the office doing all the shitty work and that's how we are close, he calls me with a weird name too." While I surpassed my laugh.

"Whateva" ki continued her food.

Everyone just ate their food in silence, while I looking for menu to order something else because I am apparently way too hungry or I'm just stress eating at this point. But the menu is with Sid and I didn't want to talk to him. But food is important...

"Suno, merko woh card pass Karo" I tried to say without making an eye contact.

"Ache se bolo aur phir mein pass karungi, yeh ek habit change nahi hua na, bas kati hi rehti ho" he passed this statement and I was pissed at this point.

How can he say that and I decided not to eat, I'll go home and order something.

" So Sid? Do you speak Akansha's language??" Ri asked

"Noo, he doesn't, to be honest, he doesn't even understand it." I spoke before Sid can reply

"But you both are from same country how come you don't know each other's language?" Chirs asked the dumbest question

"I'm from Mumbai, Maharashtra and I speak Marathi, while Akansha is from Hyderabad, Telangana and she speaks Telugu. Best part about India is we all have our own languages but we all can communicate through English or Hindi. Aki speaks both languages fluently so we just prefer Hindi." Sid finished and did he just call me Aki? Aki? After these many years? Aki

I was just looking at him and without blinking, I guess he just realised that he called me Aki and looked at me.

" I never knew you go with the name aki, akansha?" Ki sounding like she amused and shocked.

"I guess I'll be calling you Aki as well" Ri joined in to tease me..

"No, I don't like anyone calling me Aki, I don't know how Mr.Rajput got the idea to call me that, it's akansha or Miss.Varma for everyone."

"But for me and John you will always be Sweetheart or love." Chris retorted

I just smiled and I want to leave from here. Everyone was busy eating and talking among themselves that I zoned out immediately to all the Mumbai memories with Sid, and now that he is going back in week I guess this time it will be more difficult to move on. I was busy in my thoughts when Ki shouted all of a sudden, this girl will be the cause of my death someday. I mentally facepalmed myself.

"What the f.. is wrong with you Ki?" I shouted matching her tone..

"The surprise for tonight is here, I'll just come in few minutes." Ki just left after saying that?

Surprise? Other one? Now what's going to happen??? Cant I have a day off with no drama..
