Chapter 32

Lay’s POV

Flashback

“I want to court you again” I said it finally. Hindi ko na alam kung kaya ko pang magpatuloy sa ginagawa ko kung nakabaon pa rin ang pagsisisi na hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko mabitawan.

And all I want now is to bring back all those good memories with her. Gusto kong sariwain ulit iyun kasama siya. I want to be with her once more, even she’ll push me over again.

“I already told you Lay, I’m not into second time at kahit ano pang gawin mo o kahit paulit-ulit ka pa there’s no chance in us. Tapos na tayo, please tangapin mo nalang iyun”

I don’t know what she’s talking about. I prefer to choose what I want to hear than listening to all her nonsense.

Kahit ano pang sabihin nito sa akin I won’t let her pass until I got what I want. And that’s her, siya lang ang pinagsisihan ko in my 18 years of existence. As for this time I’ll make that regret of leaving her a second time of sweetness, bravery and love.

“You don’t know what you’re talking Lai. Just please gave me a chance to prove to you that what I did was wrong. I want to justified my mistake in the past”

“And you think the way of that is being with me again hu!” may pangungutya sa boses nito kaya kahit hindi ko alam ang ibig niyang sabihin umiling ako rito.

“It’s not that I want to be with you because of I have to but it's because I need you and I am still in love with you”

I don’t do begging. I’m always the authoritative one that make me superior to others. Kaya’t hindi na ako magmakaawa sa kanila na gawin ang gusto ko dahil alam kung gagawin din nila ito. But this time it’s different dahil hindi siya isa sa kanila. She’s different. She’s mine.

“I’m a man with hundred of plan at kahit itulak mo ulit ako hindi ako titigil hangga’t hindi mo ako bibigyan ng pagkakataon na maipakita sayo ang totoong nararamdaman ko. It’s you Ial. It’s always been you I made a huge mistake in the past because I’m an idiot, coward, and jerk”

After awhile hindi pa rin siya nagsasalita bakas sa mukha nito ang sakit na hindi ko pa nakita mula sa kanya. I know I hurted her in the past and maybe ‘till now but what shoud I do when I’m in love to her madly and deeply and I don’t think I could ever let her go again.

She whimpers kaya lumapit ako sa kanya and hug her tightly as she cried in my arms. I miss this kind of feeling iyung ramdam mo na nasa iyo ang taong pinakamamahal mo. Iyung yakap-yakap mo ito at kahit guminaw man ang mundo alam mong nasa kamay ka nang sasagip sa iyo.

I don’t even know what I’m thinking about, pag nasa paligid siya hindi ako makapag-isip ng maayos. Tsk.

“Will you give me a chance to prove to you that this time I’m different from someone you knew in the past?”

“But I love the one from the past. He might made me in pain many times but his the one I like, the one I wanted, the one I fell for”

I was stunned with what she said, tumutulo pa rin ang mga luha sa mga mata nito kaya dahan-dahan ko itong pinunasan.

“But that guy is jerk and stupid”

Ngayon naman minamaliit ko ang sarili ko sa kanya. Tsk. But still that’s the truth.

“Why can’t you just give up?”

As if that thing is easy.

“I’m sorry but I don’t have the courage to do so”

“Fine! But you prove to yourself you’re not a jerk anymore not to me” she said. Tumango ako ng paulit-ulot sa kanya. I smiled to her and thought of how lucky I am.

I did a lot of wrongs in the past yet here I am the luckiest man who is given a chance to be loved again with a great woman like Ial.

I learned this from a movie before, there’s no time limit when it comes to waiting. It goes on until that person collects their thoughts and comes back.

And yeah we did.

End of flashback

Lai and I were here at the ground hall practicing the Classes King and Queen. I actually thought that it’s most stupid idea but now I took it back.

“I prepared a lunch for us. Come here” she said motioned me to sit at her side.

Kakatapos lang naming magpractice at napagdesisyunan na dito muna kami sa bench.

She’s always been this kind of caring ni minsan hindi ako nagutom sa kanya. I was with her as she begin learning how to cook. I knew how terrible she was at her first, second and suppose to be her last attempt. But after I lied to her that she become better pinagpatuloy nito ang pagluluto kaya’t pinapatuloy ko rin ang pagsisinungaling sa kanya. Until her 55th attempt she did it. She finally did and her foods are the best meals I ever had.

“Hmm what’s that?” nakangiti kong tanong sa kanya. She opened her lunch boxes and my favourite dishes were presented. I miss this. I miss her.

“Adobong manok, tinolang manok, sinampalukang manok, pininyahang manok at lechon manok” tsk.

I also miss eating her chicken dishes. Natawa ako sa niluto nito lahat talaga manok. Paborito ko ang manok pero di naman kailangan na lahat na lang ay manok hahaha still I’m grateful she made an effort.

“Thank you” I said and hug her. I miss you Ial, my Lai.

“Tama na iyan, kain na tayo” she said trying to pull herself from my hug, I chuckled at lalong hinigpitan ang yakap ko sa kanya.

“Oy!Oy!Oy!” saway ni Jun ng makita niya kami. Tsk. Torpe. Binitawan ko na ang yakap at nagsimulang kumain. I didn’t mind Jun who has a teasing look.

“PDA niyo! Respeto naman sa torpeng katulad ko” aniya. Buti naman alam mo!

“Huwag kana kasing maghintay na pumogi ka kasi hindi iyun mangyayari. By the way I saw Abby with Paolo having lunch together at the Canteen” pagsisinungaling ko rito at itong uto-uto naman binigyan niya ako ng masamang tingin at nagmadaling lumakad kung saan man siya patungo. Tsk wala na akong pake roon ang mahalaga Ial is with me.

I smiled to Ial and give her a spoonful of bite. I love this day because she made it worth.

“Te quiero” I said then she smiled and I knew she knows that I mean it.
