When the times are bad that you fear,
what would life bring your way? can you bear?.

You hope that future good news would you hear,
how sure are you that things to come would be dear?.

The brave would taste joy so sweet as pear,
A future without strife and suffering is one so rare.

To survive, patience and endurance would you rear,
once so often would from your eyes loose a tear.

If you give up, you'd washout and tear,
but after life struggles a crown of gold would you wear.

Then those who mocked you'd care to know how you fare,
And to forgive though painful you'd dare.
