ADRIANS POV: 

I walked out of the bathroom to see...me. But it wasn't me. It was Chat Noir...a fake at that and I was gonna prove it. Marinette had suggested we play a game, and I had the puuurrrr-fect one in mind.

"Let's play Truth or Dare." I said, glaring right at the "Chat Noir" in front of me.

"Ok!" Marinette said, skipping up the stairs to her room.

No matter what Adrian tried, he couldn't trick the "Chat Noir" into revealing he  was a fake. He even asked what gave "Chat" his powers.

 "My Miraculous, which is powered by a Kwami" he replied. 

Adrian than asked for the Kwami's name. "I really shouldn't tell. It's wouldn't be wise. I have already told to much about how my powers work." 

After that Adrian had been forbidden from asking anymore questions about how the Miraculous worked much to both his and Alya's dismay.  

Soon it was time for Adrian to  head home. As he walked home he discussed with Plagg the possibility of who this intruder could be. He was so absorbed in figuring out the who this copy cat was and why he was there that Adrian didn't notice the black figure watching him as he walked home. 

MARINETTE'S POV:

Alya and Marinette were headed back to Alya's  house in silence when Chat Noir quietly snuck up behind me. 

"Boo!!"

Marinette gave a small shriek. Alya, on the other hand, did a 180 and punched Chat in the face.

"Ow! I guess thats what I get for scaring you!" Chat's voice was a little weird sounding  due to him holding his nose, trying to stop the bleeding. 

"Sorry chat!" Alya not so sincerely apologized. "I'll make sure to actually break it next time you pull a stunt like that. Scaring two girls walking down the street at 2 in the morning is never a wise idea."

"Well...it's not exactly the wisest idea to be walking down the street at two in the morning as two young girls. You never know what creepers might just grab you!" Chat smiled and gave a little laugh.

"Something is off about that laugh...and that smile"  Marinette thought. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind and ignore that nudging in her gut that told her to run. All of a sudden, three beefy guys dressed in black came out of the dark alley that was just behind Chat.

"Hey pretty ladies." one of them snarled. They circled around Marinette, Alya and Chat surrounding them. "How bout you come quietly and we won't skin your dear kitty friend." He smirked at seeing them tremble with fear. Chat, Alya and Marinette all backed into each other with backs facing each other. 

"On three, both of you turn around and grab onto my neck. Whatever you do, don't let go." Chat whispered. 

"What you whispering little black cat?" The largest of the men, probably the leader, growled.

"He's probably just trying to re-assure his weak little girlfriends that we ain't gonna slit their pretty little throats if they don't hand over their bags of goodies and money!" One of the men laughed. 

"HEY!! DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME WEAK YOU LITTLE-"

Alya was cut of by Chat screaming "THREE!" Alya and Marinette whipped around and grabbed onto Chat just  as he launched them into the air by extending his staff. He dropped down on a building, making sure they were both safe.  He then preceded to take them home to Alya's. 

AT ALYA'S (STILL MARINETTE'S POV) :

"hey Alya?"

"Yah girl?"

Marinette walked out of the bathroom, the toothbrush in hand. "Did something seem off tonight?"

"What do you mean off? We were almost kidnapped. Thank goodness Chat was there or who knows what would have happened."

"Thats's what I'm talking about. Chat. Something about him seemed....different."

"How would you know if he was acting different? It's not like you know know him. That is unless there's something you not telling me! Like...perhaps....your... LADYBUG!"

AUTHOR'S NOTE!

K, I know it's a bit short today but I saw the purrrr-fect opportunity for a cliff hanger and I thought "well jeez...I better take it!!" So...I am starting on the next update already and i hope to have it out by the new year or shortly after. Also.fair warning. I know this is suppose to be Marichat, but another couple that has Mari in it must come first. I SWEAR MARICHAT AND THE OTHER LOVE SQUARE COMPONENTS WILL COME!!!!! there is an important reason things happen in the order they do so please please please be understanding!!
