"Oh no, OH NO, OH NO!!! How could I forget my own wife's birthday!?"

Shikamaru and Sasuke sigh as they watch me panic in my office.

"Your own fault for being such a dobe..." Sasuke deadpans and I glare at him

"Shut it, Teme!!"

I look at Shikamaru with desperation in my eyes "C'mon, Shikamaru! You must have some ideas!!"

He pinches his nose bridge "This is so troublesome but, I dunno, get her a gift or something. That's what I did for Temari's birthday and she didn't murder me."

"But the question is, what do I get her?" I groan.

I bet Ero Sennin or Dad would have some sort of idea but there's no way to ask them for ideas.

... So I'm stuck with these two...

"For goodness sake, Naruto, you've been with Hinata for years, haven't you? What do you, usually, do for her birthday?" Sasuke asks

"Ummm..." I scratch my cheek "... I just take her out for ramen"

The two sigh as Sai comes in "Hm? What's the problem?"

I give him a weak smile "I forgot that today's Hinata's birthday."

"Ah. Well, I'm sure she won't mind if it's something simple. After all, she's loved you for so long." Sai points out.

Sasuke chuckles "Heh. I remember her twiddling her thumbs or fainting whenever she talked with Dobe."

Shikamaru nods "I still can't believe it took you years to realize that she's loved you for so long. Didn't she confess to you at some point?"

I look down at my papers and smile a bit "Yeah."

"Naruto," I look over at Sai as he speaks "I'm sure Hinata will love whatever you do for her."

Sasuke nods "He's right, Dobe. Now, hurry up so you can take her out for ramen."

I grin "Heh! Thanks, guys! I'll make this a birthday she won't forget, dattebayo!"

Uzumaki Hinata

"Naruto-kun, where are we going?" I ask and he jumps from roof to roof while carrying me in his arms.

He hasn't done this in a while, he's been so busy with work that I didn't, really, expect him to do something for me today.

He's living his dream, though, and that makes me happy.

"We're here ttebayo" he says, snapping me out of my thoughts and I look around to find that we're in a meadow.

"Isn't it beautiful? Sakura-chan and Ino told me about this place and I knew that I had to bring you here."

I'm speechless.

The flowers here are so beautiful and the sunset is so mesmerizing. The air is filled with the scent of ramen...

... Wait...

... Ramen!?

I look at Naruto and he's setting up a pot of hot ramen a little bit away from a picnic blanket. On the blanket sat a teddy bear holding a bouquet of fresh flowers.

"... Naruto-kun..."

He looks at me and grins "... I know this isn't much but... H-Hey! What's wrong? Please don't tell me you hate it so much!"

He rushes over and wipes my tears.

I give him a gentle smile "... No... This is beautiful... And you, really, didn't have to do anything for me."

"... Huh?"

I hug him and snuggle into his broad chest "... You allowed me to be a part of your family... To be the mother of your children... To be your wife... To be able to stand by your side and fight with you as you reached for your dreams. I can't be anymore thankful. You've given me so much."

He holds me tight. "... Hinata... You don't know how thankful I am that you've accepted me and loved me despite my imperfections. I grew up alone. I never had a family outside of Team 7. Having you? Having Boruto and Himawari? I feel... Complete... So, this is my way of showing you how grateful I am."

I hold him tighter as he kisses the top of my head "I love you, Naruto-kun"

"I love you too, Hinata. Happy Birthday"
