Due to an unexpectedly successful DDoS attack on their main server, the IT-Department at ConnectToMe & Partners Inc. only noticed the computer virus that had seemingly been launched from within their own network until it was too late.

An awful lot of files were damaged beyond repair, and the virus had even - by some mysterious means - been installed on the back-up server.

The whole system had to be shut down for almost a week, costing the company millions in potential revenue, not to mention creating a huge media-scandal when word got out that sensible customer data had potentially been stolen.

In all the chaos and confusion no one ever noticed, that one of the recently registered customers, Mr. Thomas Rosenbaum, changed status to 'valued business partner and VIP',

his contract now with special conditions which weren't on offer for the general public, and, of course, absolutely free of charge.
