THE INCIDENT

''You really suck at this, you know, Finn.''

The two of them were lazing around on the sofa, completely drunk, leaning against each other for support, while they played a racing game (or tried to), after several hours of binge watching Anime.

''You were named after a cartoon dog, your opinion has no value.''

''Could have been worse, could have been Simon''

Same old jibe, same old reply. The familiarity of it always felt strangely comforting to the both of them.

Finn gave a deep sigh.

''Are we really, actually, like, slowly becoming this anime stereotype-thing we've got going,? You know - overly funny trickster twins, who are way too close and openly flirt with each other as a joke, so everyone thinks they're secretly making out? And wo constantly complete-''

''-each others sentences?''

Finn nodded in approval. They had practised that one sentence since they were 5.
By now it had become their private running gag.

''Right. Would you want to be those people for real, someday?''

''I dunno, you want to be?''

Finn lost another round, and sighing, put his head in Jake's lap.

''I dunno man. I guess I could pull it off, but I don't think you're particularly funny, dude, no offense.''

''I'm cool. What about the making out bit?'', Jake asked dryly, meaning it to be a joke, but his Vodka-filled mind strangely intrigued by the thought.

''I dunno man. I usually don't do guys so far beneath my level. I'm totally the hotter one of the two of us, after all.'' Finn grinned
''And don't try the 'we're identical twins' bullshit on me. I'm like, way outta your league, really.''

''Lol, sure you are''

Jake drunkenly looked down at his brother, who looked back up at him, his head still snuggled into Jake's lap.
Their eyes met, and they held each others gaze, studying each other for a long moment, as the mood shifted slightly, grew suddenly, unexpectedly intense.

''Thought.. you weren't into dudes, Jay.''

Finn's heart was pounding.

This is insane, his drunken brain screamed at him. Scandalous. Forbidden. Exciting.

And hot as hell.

''Might just fancy trying something new, is all'', Jake carefully admitted, his cheeks growing hot.

''Yea'', Finn said, just as slowly, ''You never know until you try, after all..''

Ever so slowly, his eyes never leaving Finn's, Jake bend down, and kissed his brother.

At the touch of Jakes hot, soft lips, Finns own parted slightly, and suddently a tongue was thrust into his mouth, as his own hand shot up to clutch at his brothers hair and pulled his head in closer..

That night, they spend what seemed like hours exchanging hot, fierce kisses, grinding their bodies against each other in their drunken passion, pulling each other close, either brother unwilling to let the other one go.

Had they been any less captivated by the other, any less consumed by their sudden need for each other's touch, and had they been any less drunk, they might have noticed that they were not alone that night.

They were being watched with tiny eyes full of longing, full of the same need they shared.

A surprisingly small young woman, who always secretly wanted to be close to what everyone else she knew feared so much, was in the room with them.

She knew she was foolish.

Suicidal in her strange fascination.

Humans were too dangerous.

So, she had resisted. Had tried to ignore her stange wants and dreams, had tried to feel a similar interest for her own.

It hadn't worked.

She had kept away, but the dreams had kept haunting her, and the boys and young men of her tribe bored her.

But she had remained strong, had always kept away.

But now, she had stumbled upon the scene of her undoing.

As she lay there on her back, half hidden behind the immense flat-screen TV, watching those stunningly beautiful gargantuan twins, she could not help imagining her tiny self wedged between those enormous bodies as they pressed themselves against each other, could not stop fantasizing about being caught between their lips as they exchanged those hot kisses, that were so passionate as to almost be violent.

Her hand slipped between her legs while she watched, and she knew, that this time, she would not be able to resist, that she would not be able to stay away.

She would offer herself up to these humans, and would beg to be allowed to serve as their toy, just as she had always dreamed, even if it cost her life.

Had Finn and Jake not been entirely taken up with the other, they might have noticed the soft moans and muffled screams, as Tamara of the Catsbane Tribe - a tribe, that had lived in hidden spaces of the flat, that the twins and their two friends had just moved into for the past 30 odd years - experienced the most mindshattering orgasm of her life so far.

They didn't notice.

Waking up, still holding each other tightly the next morning, had been one of the most horrible, awkward, confusing and terrifying things Jake and Finn had ever experienced.

They had made out with each other.

With their own twin.

So they had both been drunk.

Okay, weird things happen when you're drunk.

But even when pissed, making out with your own brother...

What made the whole thing so utterly, terrifyingly horrible,
what made it impossible for Finn and Jake to even look at each other for days after, was, that even after waking up the next morning, even now that they were sober again, Jake had liked it.

A lot.

Too much.

And he would never, in a million years be able to tell Finn.

How the hell would you tell your own twin that they turned you on?

How the hell could you even think - much less admit, that you would like to fuck your own brother?

It was agony.

It was disgusting.

It was WRONG.

And yet..

Oh god.

But the thing that made things awkward between them beyond anything they had ever experienced, that truly drove them apart,

was that Finn was agonizing over the very same thing,

and that each brother in turn took the others fear for repulsion at what had happened.
