Just do it!!
3rd POV
"Soooooooooooooo boooorriiinnngggggggg." Kai grumbled spinning in her rolly chair. "How much longer until we get to fight?" She complained.
"Patience is key," Tokoyami added.
"Patience smashing. I wanna kick someone's ass." Kai said spinning herself faster in the rolly chair.
Kai smiled to herself as an idea popped into her head. She placed her feet on the seat of the chair where she was sitting and spinning. She gripped the armrest as she slowly stood up.
She was still spinning super fast but now she was standing on the chair with her arms in a T pose. "I'm a helicopter" She laughed to herself.
The door slammed open, "Everyone gets your game faces on! We are entering the arena- KAI GET DOWN THIS INSTANT!"
"AAHHH!!" The chair tipped over, making her lose her balance. The chair yeeted her towards a few people who were simply minding thier own business. Oh well. Sucks to be you hun.
She crashed into the bakusquad, making them all fall on the floor.
Explosions erupted along with cursing, "DAMN YOU!! WATCH WERE YOUR FUCKING GOING!!!"
The classmates were just about to run over to her and the people she was crushing to save them all from bakugo, but she handled the situation quite nicely. She punched bakugo upside the head. Izuku gasped in terror, his hands covering his gaping mouth as he watched what happened. "Yes, thank you for the advice." Her smile then darkened as she faced bakugo. "You do need to stop cursing though."
"Midoriya." Todoroki stood tall in front of the greenette with a stoic look on his face, gaining the attention from the people watching kai and bakugo bicker.
"Hey, Todoroki. What's up?" Midoriya nervously asked, taking his hands away from his mouth and looked up to face the half and half boy.
"From an objective standpoint its clear that I'm stronger than you."
"No duh." Kai chuckled under her breath receding a glare from momo who had heard her.
"Um..yeah," Izuku admitted that he was in fact, weaker than Todoroki.
"However you got Allmight in your corner helping you out." Izukus eyes widened at Todorokis statement. "I'm not here to pry in what's going on between you two. Just know that I'm going to beat you."
"Wow, harsh." Kai pursed her lips as she watched them. Crossing her legs as she leaned against mina who sat on the floor next to her.
"What's with all these declarations of war lately?" Kaminari wondered, getting off the floor to sit next to ojiro.
"Yeah, why are you trying to pick a fight all of the sudden?" Kirishima walked forward to put a hand on Todorokis shoulder.
The dual haired boy pushed it off, walking towards the door, "I'm not here to make friends."
"Wouldn't that be boring though?" Kai asked. Todoroki stopped in his tracks in confusion. "It would be boring to listen to lessons, train, and study for the rest of your life. You would be stuck in an endless cycle of boringness and loneliness because you won't g out and do things out of the ordinary." Todoroki was hit with her sudden accurate statement. Her words seemed wise and knowing as if she knew what was going on. The thing is that she dint know shit.
The only things she knew was his expression. It's the expression of someone who would shut themselves away because of others. She could tell that something or someone caused todoroki to be this concealed. She knew it because in the past she would seal herself off from other ghouls because they stabbed her in the back. They used her as bait when the doves found them. Betrayal hurts.
"I'm here to be a hero." Todoroki briefly glared at her before walking out of the classroom, not letting anyone else get another word in.
Kai POV
"You all hyped up yet?! Let me hear you scream as our students make their way to the field!" Banana yelled as we walked towards the light. Ha, sounds like we are dying. Then again... Some of us are walking towards our deaths.
"Everyone please welcome the hero course of Class 1A!" Roars of the audience erupted as we came into view.
There are so many people. I'm kind of impressed.
President Mic continued to call up each course as the audience screamed.
I watched as Hitoshi walked out with a bored face. I shot him a thumbs up. He smiled in return. He is smiling more often. I'm happy for him.
I paid no attention to the rest of the instructions or Bakugos speech which made everyone mad.
All I know is that we're doing an obstacle course and everyone hates us.
"Everyone to the gate!" Midnight yelled.
I quickly walked over to Hitoshi, "Let's do this." I said as we walked toward the narrow passageway.
3
Everyone got their game faces on, readying to sprint.

I brought out my kagune, grabbing Hitoshi by the torso.
"What are you doing, kai? And who is that?" Kaminari pointed to Hitoshi and me.
1
"I don't know. What am I doing?" Hitoshi asked with sarcasm laced in his voice.
"I asked you fir-" Kaminaris eyes clouded over as his shoulders slumped.
Shinso whispered something to him before turning to me.
"You ready?" He asked, turning back to him.
"I should be asking you that." I chuckled.
GO!
I leaped into the air, jumping on the side of the wall, using my kagune to propel and boost myself.
Behind us, a huge wave of electricity shot through the small area, knocking several people unconscious and around 50 people burned or paralyzed.
I jumped from wall to wall, above the crowd as I carried Hitoshi.
"Just as planned." He said in accomplishment.
3rd POV
"We're off to a raging start!" President mic yelled as he watched Kaminaris burst of electricity fade. "I'm sure you're all are ecstatic?" He laughed, shooting finger guns at Aizawa who was watching from the booth with him.
"Please stop," Aizawa said, clearly too tired to deal with Mic and his jokes.
Todorokis ice then blasted throughout the entrance and grew forward, allowing him to skate ahead of the now frozen competition.
"What immense power! It's the powerful Shoto Todoroki! He got in solely from recommendations! Isn't that rad?!" Mic cheered, as Aizawa grumbled.
"That move was not only defensive by the fact that he froze his competition in their tracks, but he used it offensively too. He is making himself more mobile by skating on the ice which only he and maybe a few other people can accomplish." Aizawa added.
"Nice narrating." Mic shot him a thumbs up.
"How on earth did you drag me into this?" Aizawa sighed, longing for the comfort of his sleeping bag.
Mics eyes widened as he turned back to watch the students performance, "Woah! What is this folks?! Kai from 1A is carrying Shinso from general studies?! Is this allowed?!"
Kai who flew in the air thought of her landing. If she could get this right then she could slide herself and Hitoshi around a kilometer ahead of everybody because Todoroki decided that he was going to be ice skating the majority of the time.
"Yes, it's allowed." Aizawa cleared up part of the confusion. The audiences chatter kept ongoing. They wondered things like "why is she helping someone else out?"
"Isn't the class 1A students all snotty brats that don't care about anyone else?" Another viewer wondered, thinking back to the hothead's speech at the beginning of the festival.
"I'm gonna yeet you." Kai hurriedly told them as the ground got closer and closer.
"Ok." He honestly wasn't surprised. Only kai could see past beneath that monotone face and see that he was in truth, exited to be yeeted.
"Here goes nothing. Do your best." She told him. "I want you with me in 1A, alright?"
"Aye, captain" He saluted with a small smirk as she yeeted him away right before she made impact with the floor. He slid across the ice almost as fast as a cheetah.
'wwweeeeeee' Hitoshi inwardly cheered as he slid. It was pretty fun to be yeeted, but he can't let it show. Its a competition after all.
Once he lost his speed, he jumped off the sheet of ice, starting to jog towards the next obstacle. He was thankful that Kai helped him gain stamina because, without it, he would be screwed. In the past, if he were to do a few more minutes of this exercise then he would be done for.
But now that Kai was helping him, he couldn't help but give it his all.
"Robots. How nice." Kai slid over to Hitoshi without breaking much of a sweat.
"I can't do much here. Sorry, I'm not being very useful." Shinso admitted.
"Nah, it's cool. I see where you're coming from. The only reason why I'm so strong is because I've had it rough. I wouldn't wish that life upon anyone." Kai said, watching as the robot Todoroki froze fell down.
Hitoshi suddenly felt bad about being jealous of her combat strength. The only reason why she needed to be strong is that she had to survive.
"I see an opening." Shinso pointed out, starting to run towards it, even though he felt bad he knew they had to continue. Its no use thinking about the past. You have to move forward towards your own goals. He ran towards the robot with kai right behind him. He knew he could trust her. If anything happens like the robot decided to explode then kai will be there to die alongside him. Wait. If they die together then who will plan their funerals? Who will play 'When will you learn that your actions have consequences' to all the people he hated? Maybe he should invest in writing a PowerPoint.
They ran around the demolished robot and hiding from the other active ones. They kept on running towards the next obstacle course when Kai recognized a certain pink-haired inventor. "You're the girl from detention!" She called. The girl looked at her confused before her face brightened with recognition. "Mei...Hatsume, right?" Kai smiled, looking at all of her gear.
"I dint think I will see you so soon, Kai! How do you like my babies?!" She cheered with a shine in her eyes.
"They look cool so far, but we will have to wait until I can see them in action." Kai smirked earning a scoff from her.
"Oh, these babies work. You can be sure of that." She hopped over a person who was sitting on the floor, trying to recover from a second-hand explosion.
"Kai, stop!" Shinso went in front of her, holding his arm out in front of her in order to halt her as he stopped abruptly.
"Wha-" Her reaction was cut short when she noticed that she was mere inches from running into what had seemed to be an endless pit. Her eyes widened as she looked down. Not wanting to fall, she leaned backward, falling on her butt. Out of breath, she replied, "That was close. Thanks, bro."
"That's what friends are for, but how are we going to cross it?" He looked around, trying to understand why and how in hell did UA make this obstacle? They must have had power loader or some other teachers and some construction workers do this. How much money does this school have?
"Oh, there are tightropes across each one." Kai pointed. "Welp, you are on your own now. Bye~" Kai waved him off as she ran towards tsu who had just jumped on one of the lines so she could start climbing them in the middle. Kai, on the other hand, would do something different.
"NOW! EVERYONE! FEAST YOUR EYES ON MY BABYS! See how the shine in the light! They're not just flashy though! They have multiple uses! Hover shoes so you don't need to tire yourself by running all while earning more mobility! Harpoons to pierce and grab!" She announced, pushing a button to activate the harpoons. They shot out from their canister, flying to the other pillar in the middle of the pit. "Heavy-duty and mobile!" She shouted like an ad. The line started retracting, causing her to fall into the pit with a grin. 'Hopefully, they will notice my potential, support companies!' She thought of the many spectators in the booths above the heros.
As she got closer and closer to the wall, she activated her hovershoes and stood on the wall as the line kept on retracting, so she was practically hovering up the wall. "WATCH ME, ALL OF YOU SUPPORT COMPANIES! ESPECIALLY THE BIG ONES!" She sheered as she was propelled into the air, landing safely on the ground in the middle of the course.
Kai smiled at her new friend. She was sure to get a swell internship with that kind of positive attitude. Kai can just see her interning with an equally passionate inventor. That would mean chaos, but it will be good.
"Oh shoot. I need to start moving." Kai muttered to herself, watching as Shinso was slowly but surely getting closer and closer to the middle with every tightrope he crossed.
Kai walked back a bit, activating her kagune once again. It glowed red, readying to propel her to the next pillar. She easily jumped to the pillar in the middle of the course.
"Let's get the show on the road." Kai smiled, already running and jumping across the course.
Kai POV
"Welcome to the mines!! If you look closely, you can see the mines, but you will have to proceed carefully!" President pic announced. "By the way, these minefields are for the games. They're not powerful enough to harm anyone, but it is flashy enough to make you want to wet your pants!"
Isn't that pleasant?
With my kagune, I'm pretty sure I can simply do various jumps and be extra careful with my landings. Let's go with that. If I do end up jumping on one, then let's hope it will propel me towards the finish.
Bakugo and Todoroki are both in the lead. It seems like they are going to fight real soon. Might as well make this more interesting. I propelled myself faster towards them passing by dozens of people in a flash. They looked at me with wide eyes as I past them faster and swifter than bakugo had earlier.
Soon, I came up to the exploding blonde and icy half and half. Bakugo had unleashed an explosion, midair at Todoroki who dodged it and counterattacked by freezing Bakugous arm. It wasn't over just yet, Bakugo simply made another explosion to melt off the ice. Festive.
BOOOOOMM
Pink exploded from the back of the pack.
I hope that wasn't Mina...
Sorry, mina. I wanna mess with these two hotheads over here. They're distracted right now, so I cant check up on you. I will afterward though.
I let my natural reflexes take control of my kagune, allowing me to travel faster than I had before. I swerved past both Bakugo and Todoroki in almost complete silence. Kagunes really are the best.
They don't even notice I passed them. Neither did president Mic. I think they're way too astonished by the explosion or something.
What is back there anyway? I stopped running momentarily. I squinted to get a better look at something that was leaving the explosion. It was... a piece of metal? Did someone use it to distract the others? What is that? I looked a bit closer and it's... Izuku?
He was laying on the piece of metal, using it as a sled.
"So mina didn't explode?" I asked myself. I was relieved, but kinda...sorta wanting to see someone explode. Maybe I can ask Bakugo to attack a stranger. Dang, it. I forgot that's not heroic. Plus, why would he listen to me in the first place?
"What the fuck?" Bakugo glare shifted from Izuku to me who was ahead of him. So, talking was a bad idea. Well, at least I'm making him pissed. That's always fun.
"Bye, now!" I shouted at both of them.
"You bastards! You both think you're better than me!? Well, you're both wrong!! You fucktards are going to pay for underestimating me!!" He screamed, blasting explosions behind him to propel himself forward. I can't pay attention to them anymore. I just need to hurry up. I could tell by the sudden coldness that Todoroki started making a path of ice to run on. That's not clever. Others will use it to get past the mines. Oh well. Everyone else is too far away to steal his 1 through 4th place winner spots.
I saw Izukus shadow quickly casting over us. Todoroki and bakugo both have the wrong idea here. I can tell by their faces. They want to win for the wrong reasons. At least this time. They sometimes have good reasons, I've heard them say it themselves. Bakugo wants to become number one, but he is pushing others down in order to succeed as if they were a stepping stone. Todoroki wants to be a hero, but he is pushing away his comrades as he does it.
I'm sure they aren't actually learn anything either. They both are strong. They arnt seeing the picture they need to see. The hidden lesson that is meant for them. I'm going to give them one instead.
"Bakugo, Todoroki. I know you are set on winning because of personal reasons, but neither of you are going to benefit from winning this battle." I said loud enough for them to hear.
"I don't want to listen to your stupid face! Get out of my way!" Bakugo seethed.
"You are just ruining the race for yourself. Just let us pass you." Todorkoki strictly said.
"No way, you're going to listen to me on this one," I said, turning around and using my kagune to block their movements as I saw izuku overhead.
3rd POV
As Izuku was getting closer to landing on the trio, his thoughts were chaotic. I can't stop here. I need to figure out a way to keep on going! Why are they stopping anyway? Is kai stopping them? No. I need to focus right now. Questions later. I need to propel myself again.'
"Bakugo," Her voice was strict as she stared him in the eye, now both in 3rd place."You're too focused on putting others down and beating Deku. Are you really doing this for yourself right now?" Kai asked.
Surprisingly, Bakugos face contorted into confusion and his rage toned down as well as the tenseness in his muscles. A sign that he listened to her words.
"Todoroki," Her gaze was just as strict as the one she previously had on bakugo. It was probably more intense, even. She seemed to stare into his conscience, digging down his insecurities and things of the sort. "You need to realize that your winning is not important unless you are doing it for yourself or for your loved ones. I have a feeling you are not doing that. So, both of you." She breathed out, readying herself for her next move. "GET OFF YOUR DAMMED PRIDE PEDASTOOL AND GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A CHANCE!!!" Kai ordered like a drill sergeant. Scary, intimidating and powerful.
Izuku was inches away from them when she took out her kagune. She watched carefully, timing it just right. Izuku was just about to hit them when she grabbed the hunk of metal he was laying on, positioning it so the impact would send him flying past the finish line. She then slapped her kagune down on a clustered of landmines behind her.
Izuku was sent flying towards the finish line. 'That wasn't me. I didn't do that, but who did? Did someone help me?'
Kai smiled at her success. She made both Todoroki and bakugo rethink their goals for the course and she helped the person that needed that win get it. She, bakugo, and Todoroki all flew backward. But they weren't upset.
'I hope I got the message through their thick skulls.' Kai thought proudly.
'I need to win for myself and for loved ones?' todoroki wondered, still baffled by her words and the sudden attacks.
'Give someone else a chance? What does that mean?' Bakugo wondered, being calm and composed for once in his life.
