Dakota: Ready to admit defeat you worthless runts.

Guy1: Never!

Guy2: Yeah why would we be scared of a kid like you

Dakota: This is why! I tune my level 6 Coral Dragon and my level four Luster Dragon. Great dragon named after a weapon wielded by a god! I call upon you to show my enemies your absolute power! I Synchro Summon! Rise! Level 10! TRIDENT DRAGON!!

Everyone looked at the three headed dragon in awe while his opponents were in fear

Dakota: Now, by using Trident Dragon's effect I can destroy my Ruby Dragon and Luster Dragon giving Trident Dragon two extra attacks

Opponents: What?!

Dakota: Trident Dragon attack Sangan

Opponents: 5000 LP

Dakota: Now attack Wattcobra!

Opponents: 3000 LP

Dakota: Now finish them off Trident Dragon with Triple Trident Blast!

Opponents: 0 LP

The two men were shocked and fell back due to the dragon's attack as smoke came off their bodies and Dakota walked in the middle of the arena

Dakota: Are you not entertained!

Everyone then erupted into cheers and roars

Dakota: Hehehehahahaha! No one can stop me! I'm undefeatable!

Dakota then shot up from his bed breathing heavily and sweating as his breath slowed down

Dakota: Damn another nightmare. I left all that behind me. I'm better than that. Right?

As Dakota, Yuya, and Yuzu were walking to school, Sora was following them which irritated Yuya until Sora asked a important question

Sora: Hey Yuzu aren't you Yuya's girlfriend

Dakota: See? Told you I'm not the only one

Yuzu: His girlfriend?

Sora: Well aren't you sweethearts?

Both: Of course not!

Yuya: As far as I'm concerned there's nothing sweet about her, okay?

Dakota: 3. 2. 1 and now

As Dakota said now Yuzu slapped Yuya across the face with her fan

Dakota: That's what you get for opening your big mouth cuz

Sora: I think she likes you Yuya

As school went on Yuya was pretty down which got Yuzu and Dakota's attention

Dakota: I do! It's because after seeing Slyvio pull off pendulum summoning on his first try Yuya here doesn't think he's special anymore. Well that's going to change immediately!

Yuya: What do you mean Dakota?

Dakota: I mean as soon as we get to Yu Show you and me are finally going to duel and no holding back!

This surprised the two, but Yuya seemed to get his determination back

As they arrived at Yu Show they then saw Sora

Dakota: Sora? What are you doing here?

Sora: Well if I'm going to be one of the best duelists I should probably start with going to the same school Coach does. Plus that means we'll be learning the same thing

Dakota: Fair enough. Alright Yuya let's duel!

Yuya: Your on!

Spike: Wait you two want to duel? Each other?!

Dakota: Yeah! It'll be the most blood pumping, adrenaline rising duel ever!

Tate: Dakota seems way more fired up to duel than usual

Allie: Well Onii-san and Yuya haven't dueled each other before

The person heard someone and called Dakota's name they then ran to the room and they shouted to Dakota

Dakota: My move, I draw! Heh you know Yuya there's a reason I wanted to duel you

Dakota: To see who's the better pendulum summoner and it's yours truly! I set the pendulum scale with scale 1 Odd-Eyes Performapal Dragon and scale 10 Odd-Eyes Galaxy Dragon. Now I can summon monsters from levels 2 through 9 all at the same time. Speed through Speedburst Dragon. Come up front Background Dragon. Now last, but not least rise from your grave Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon!

Everyone was amazed at Dakota's move

Spike: Dakota certainly isn't going easy on Yuya

Yuzu: That's for sure

Allie: Onii-san's monsters look so cool!

Tate: Yuya look out

Yuya then ended up falling in a small trench

Dakota: What's wrong Yuya? Are you scared? Well you should be because I'm link summoning too!

Everyone: Already?!

Dakota: Arrowheads confirmed! The summoning conditions are at least 2 monsters. I set Speedburst Dragon, Background Dragon, and Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon! Circuit combine! My new power, become the source of my victory! Manifest, the future circuit that lights up my path! I Link Summon! Appear, Link 3! Triple Burst Dragon!

Julia: He already has a monster with 2400 attack points on his first turn?! *thought* Dakota Levi you certainly are one unique and incredible duelist

Dakota: Now, Triple Burst Dragon shot down Yuya's hippo!

Yuya: Oh no! Just kidding I activate the action spell Evasion which lets my Hippo make a clean getaway

Dakota: You can only run for so long Sakaki, so start dueling already

Sora: Coach doesn't seem pleased with Yuya's running strategy

Allie: Why is that?

Julia: It's because he expects someone like Yuya to accept a challenge and not run for it

Dakota: I activate from my hand Card of Sanctity which lets both of us draw until we have six cards in our hand. I place one card face down and end my turn

Yuya: You asked for a duel Dakota then I'm going to give you one.

Dakota: About time!

Yuya: I'll use Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician to set the pendulum scale. I'm taking control of this duel starting now!

Fredrick: Here we go

Tate: He's going to pendulum summon!

Yuya: I'm allowed to summon monsters from levels 2 through 7 all at the same time! Swing far pendulum, carve the arc of victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action! H to go Skeeter Skimmer. Slice and dice Sword Fish. It's time to turn up the heat Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!

Dakota: It's going to take more than that Yuya

Yuya: Well then I'll use Sword Fish's special ability once per turn my Performapal's can zero in on your monster and slice and dice its attack points by 600

Dakota: Damn now Triple Burst is at 1800 attack

Yuya: I'll also use a action card that gives Odd-Eyes a 700 point boost

Tate: Wow, Yuya might be able to win against Dakota!

Allie: Would that make Yuya the very first person to beat Onii-san than

Fredrick: It sure would it gives me shivers

Yuya: Now it's time to teach you a lesson in defeat Dakota. Odd-Eyes attack Triple Burst Dragon and when Odd-Eyes attacks a monster that's level 5 or above the damage dealt to you is double

Dakota: Congrats Yuya, but there's a problem with that

Yuya: What is it

Dakota: Heh it's that my link monsters have no levels meaning Odd-Eyes ability is useless against me

Dakota: 6600 LP

Yuya: I end my turn and Odd-Eyes attack returns to normal

Dakota: Too bad. My move, I draw! First I activate Monster Reborn bringing back my Triple Burst Dragon. Now I'll use my pendulum scale to pendulum summon again. I summon Sliverrokket Dragon, Autorokket Dragon, and Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon from my hand

Yuzu: Why was he specific with that one

Spike: I think we're about to find out

Dakota: Now I'll continue to use the pendulum scale to bring back my Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon

Yuya: How though?!

Dakota: Pendulum 101 Yuya pendulum monsters don't get sent to the graveyard when destroyed instead they're sent to the extra deck face up

Tate: Did Dakota teach Yuya something about pendulum

Allie: Yeah he did

Julia: Now that's really unique *thought* I wonder though is he single

Dakota: Now it's time for something I like to call double linking

Everyone was amazed at the new dragon Dakota summoned

Dakota: That's not all I activate my face down Card of Demise. This lets me draw until I have five cards in my hand, but on my fifth standby phase I have to discard them

Dakota draws five cards and smirks

Dakota: Okay Yuya let's get serious now! I activate the spell Double summon letting me summon Odd-Eyes Mirage Dragon and Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon. Now watch this new style of fusion summoning. By sacrificing Mirage Dragon and Persona Dragon I can fuse them together. Great dragon with different colored eyes show everyone your beauty and power. I Fusion Summon! Appear! Level 8! Drake-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!

Everyone was fascinated by Drake-Eyes however Julia and Sora couldn't stop thinking of how he fusion summoned

Julia: *thought* I have to ask him if he can teach me that

Sora: *thought* No way Coach just contacted fused! He's amazing!

Tate: Two dragons with 3000 attack points Yuya is in a really tough spot

Julia: I bet Dakota is planning to make it even tougher too

Dakota: Now Drake-Eyes attack that Hippo!

Yuya: 5800 LP

Dakota: Now that I destroyed your Hip Hippo in battle I can bring back a dragon from my grave. Welcome back Triple Burst Dragon! I'll also place two cards face down and end my turn. I think I've dealt enough damage. So you take over cousin. Now will you fight or flight

Yuya: Sorry, but I'm staying to fight. I'll use Sword Fish's ability so your Drake-Eyes loses 600 attack points. Now Odd-Eyes attack

Dakota: Sorry Yuya, but you just activated my trap Kunai with Chain

Yuya: Not happening cuz, because now I activate Timegazer Magician's ability to stop your trap! Go Infinity Gear Reverse!

Dakota: Good move Yuya it's to bad I predicted that you would do that, so now I activate my second Kunai with Chain and since Timegazer can use its ability only once each turn your Odd-Eyes is going in defense mode and Triple Burst is getting a 500 attack point bonus because of it too! Now Triple Burst has 2900 attack

Spike: Uh-Oh this bad for Yuya

Tate: Yeah. Especially since Triple Burst can destroy Odd-Eyes now

Yuya: I'll switch Sword Fish in defense mode

Dakota: Playing safe huh? To bad it won't be safe from Triple Burst. I honestly think you're actually scared of losing and if that's true then maybe I should teach you a lesson about defeat

Yuya: I place one card face down and end my turn and I'm not scared

Dakota: Well you should be because Drake-Eyes attack returns to normal. Oh and Triple Burst Dragon's ability makes it so you take damage when it attacks a monster even if it is in defense mode

Everyone: *gasps*

Tate: Did Dakota have this planned out from the very beginning?

Fredrick: Shivers.

Dakota: It's my turn and you're last Yuya! I draw! I activate the field spell Mountain giving all dragon type monsters 200 extra attack and defense points

Allie: That means Drake-Eyes and Borrelguard has 3200 attack

Tate: Along with Triple Burst having 3100 attack and since it can inflict damage to Yuya even with his monsters in defense mode

Spike: Even if it didn't Dakota has 3 dragons with over 3000 attack

Fredrick: Is Yuya going to lose

Yuzu: I actually don't know

Julia: If he does it wouldn't be surprising

Dakota: Don't worry Yuya there's always second best you know, but then again first is always top dog

Yuya: *thought* I have to rescue Odd-Eyes or I'm a goner

Yuya ran to an action card, but Dakota saw this and started riding on Drake-Eyes

Dakota: I don't think so Yuya it pays having a dragon with wings you know

Dakota then jumped for the Action card and grabbed it right before Yuya could as Dakota used his agility to get back

Julia: Now that's impressive

Dakota: Speed is very important in these duels Yuya why do you think I got rid of your hippo

Yuya: You had this all planned out from the start?

Dakota: You know it and I played you like a damn fiddle too haha! After all I said don't hold back didn't I? Now it's time for Triple Burst to shot Odd-Eyes down

Yuya: Not yet because I activate a trap Command Performance! See when there's a Performapal on my field this card switches your monster into defense mode

Dakota: Too bad it doesn't effect link monsters because their defense points are replaced with links. Now I activate the action card High Dive giving my Triple Burst 1000 extra attack points. Now, Triple Burst Dragon attack Odd-Eyes with Triple Tri-shot! Don't forget you take damage from the different from Odd-Eyes defense points and Triple Bursts's attack points be lucky he got that 200 point bonus from mountain.

Yuya: 3900 LP

Dakota: Now, Drake-Eyes attack Yuya's Sword Fish! I end my turn and Triple Burst Dragon's attack returns to normal

Yuya was devastated seeing Odd-Eyes gone and Dakota knew he had to toughen him up even though it will hurt both of them

Dakota: On your feet Yuya!

Yuya: Huh?

Dakota: Did your father ever fall on his knees in defeat? No! He got right back up and continued to duel even if he lost his best monsters. I should know I've dueled him before and I lost. I thought back then winning was everything, but Yusho taught me that you can either cry about your defeat or learn from it. And I did I learned from losing. So get up and duel like the duelist I know you are!

When Yuya saw Dakota he could only see one thing his tears. Yuya saw Dakota crying as well as the others, but he didn't hide them

Dakota: That also means stop hiding your emotions besides your happiness behind those goggles, so what if you're sad you have others to cheer you up right?!

Yuya remember what his father said and he started to laugh confusing the others, but causing Dakota to smile

Yuya: Thanks Dakota because now it's time I take a page out of your book since Odd-Eyes was destroyed he was sent to my extra deck instead of the graveyard

Dakota: Then what are you waiting for?! Make your move Yuya

Yuya: Then brace yourself Dakota cause this is going to blow you away! I'll use my magician's to set the pendulum scale and summon Performapal Cheermole

Dakota: Kind of shy don't you think Yuya

Yuya: I'm not finished yet because I bring back my Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! I'll also equip Dragon Nails to Odd-Eyes making his attack power 3300! Now, Odd-Eyes attack Drake-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!

A cloud of smoke appeared

Yuzu: Did Yuya win

Tate: Yeah he did

Dakota: Wrong he didn't

Dakota: 6400 LP

Dakota was shown losing 200 life points while Drake-Eyes stood tall

Dakota: Sorry Yuya, but when there's another Odd-Eyes monster on my field Drake-Eyes isn't destroyed and I have two of them in my pendulum zone

Yuya: Grr. I end my turn

Dakota: I draw! You dueled great Yuya just keep that positivity of yours up high

Yuya: Thanks Dakota

Dakota: I activate the spell Rageki this destroys all your monsters. Now, Drake-Eyes attack Yuya directly

Yuya: 700 LP

Dakota: Now for the finishing blow. Borrelguard Dragon attack Yuya directly. You got shot down

Yuya: 0 LP

Dakota: You okay Yuya?

Yuya: Okay? I'm fantastic! That was the greatest duel I had

Dakota: I'll have to say the same

After awhile they all left, but Julia was trying to follow Dakota without being noticed

Dakota: Alright I know you're following me, so spare the sneakiness and just show yourself

Julia then walked out from behind a tree

Julia: Hey Dakota

Dakota: Julia? Why are you following me?

Julia: Well I umm. I wanted to know if you could teach me contact fusing

Dakota: Oh really why didn't you just ask

Julia: *sigh* Because my dad expects me to know everything about fusion summoning...

Dakota: That's bullshit

Julia: Huh?

Dakota: I might not know you a lot or your family, but not everyone can learn everything about something that phrase "you learn something new everyday" exists for a reason

Dakota then kissed Julia's hand and left leaving her shocked and blushing
