Not a new chapter yet, but it'll come soon. I just want to say a few things about the live action adaptation:

I seriously don't think it needs it. The third movie came out 5 years ago. And the trilogy isn't a decade old yet like Moana which is also getting this treatment.

Toothless' cgi just doesn't live up to the original 2010 design and his eyes are much too big. I just feel like Hollywood is pandering to huge fans such as me who owns the entire franchise on dvd (except Rescue Riders and Nine Realms, both are trash).

Modern Hollywood really has sunk itself into the ground in trying to get their so called 'modern audiences' and I'm hoping they never make Gargoyles live action. I was somewhat optimistic about the HTTYD one but not so much anymore.

And you all can say 'this is a kids franchise, why are you complaining?' but that won't work on me. I've seen animation like Ponyo from Studio Ghibli or Zootopia. A live action Zootopia would be nightmare fuel too.

I want to be allowed to complain about something that doesn't remind me of something I loved and still loved growing up if it doesn't live up to expectations. It is like the phrase, the customer is always right.

To quote a line that I hear online when it comes to these things and what Hollywood tells people: 'don't ask questions, just consume product and then get excited for next product'.

I see traditional 2D and full CGI as art. Whenever you put cgi into a realistic setting based off of a fully animated film from before it can look really fake. Sometimes it can work with Harry Potter but not in many live action Disney films.

Animation has always been about believing in the impossible when realism can't do it.

Seeing Dreamworks head down this path makes me feel rather sad and just want to keep watching the originals without needing to see the same story again but with real people. That's what all these movies are now.

And I hate this line from Velma (Scooby Doo adult series) when she says 'adults who still watch cartoons'. It makes animation look undervalued and useless.

HTTYD shouldn't be a product. It is a great story with great characters I will keep watching even when I'm 60. And I will continue to write this fanfic with every movie, tv episode and special.

I know this is just my opinion but I just really wanted to get this off of my chest.
