Tanya Jacobs was a short girl of 14 standing only 5FT 1. She had brown chestnut
coloured eyes with long black hair that came to her shoulders. Back when things like like looks mattered she was considered quite pretty but with the the role changing her eyes had a dark, almost depressing look in them. Her hair was very greasy and stuck up in random places because pretty much any bit of water that wasn't frozen was saved for drinking. As she crept around the abandoned town of twincliff searching for anything of use she heard the sound everyone these days dreaded. The loud rumbling of a seegull, the floating hovercraft that was the favourite toy of ice bandits, evil people who liked the way the earth changed and robbed and killed anyone they saw without hesitation. Tanya had her weapon of choice in her backpack, a 14 inch long sword that she barely knew how to use but from the sound of the engines she knew she could never survive. She dived behind a wall and counted to 10.

The rumbling sound of engines passed her and she counted around 12 of them. 12! She had never seen a group of ice bandits of more then 12. The engines went quiet and she presumed she had gotten away when she suddenly felt a strong pull forcing up her long black hair. She screamed but a gloved hand cover her mouth. She felt s mouth press towards her ear and she heard whoever it was whisper "I am going to let you speak but if you make another sound I WILL cut off your tongue understand?" From the sound of the voice she presumed the speaker to be a young man of only 19 or 20. She nodded her head as if to say yes. He removed his hand and she looked around at her captors.

There were 15 of them in total each riding a sleek black seegul with its engines off and sitting in the icy ground gathering water. As agreed she kept her mouth shut but closed her hand on the hilt of her sword she had named 'Frankie'. The people all had a black balaclava protecting their face from the breeze and probably do she couldn't get them back when she was free. She was getting free then getting the hell out of twincliff. This place sucked! The masked man removed his mask. He had a hard face with bright blue eyes and fair hair that was about shoulder length. He had a fair stubble that showed he was able to shave his face somehow. "Listen here girlie who else is with you?" His voice had a slight sneer to it as if he was enjoying this interrogation. "I i i its just just m m me." I cried. I tried to make my voice sound brave but it was hard in these conditions. His face pulled a mock terror as he did an impression of her "J j just you?" The men behind him did a half chuckle as if unsure what to do. "Listen here me and my boys are tryin' to get to DC so we can find the source of this mess and fix whatever that Chinese bloke did to the world".  I suddenly had a bright idea "I will help you!" I cried after I found my voice the men and the leader burst out laughing. "Listen here no under 10's allowed so how about once me and my men dump you somewhere safe you go play with your toys or whatever". My face burned red with shame "I am 14 nearly 15!" The man laughing dropped me and I landed hard on my stomach. Within seconds the leader was back on his seegul and all the engines running. He did a sarcastic wave as he left. "See ya 'round" as they roared off. Suddenly determined I sprinted after the seeguls before they could reach full speed. I wrapped my hands around the throat of the leader and with a hard tug I pulled him off his ride. His seegul shot off into a pile of snow and he collapsed next to me. Getting up he had a slight smirk "There might me something in you yet girlie" he smirked "My name is tanya" I replied
