"GOSH DARNIT!!!!!!!!!" yelled kyubi.

Kyubi had just been rejected once again by none other than Katie, and this time he seems to be more frustrated about than usual.  

"I just can't win with that girl no matter what I've done none of it has ever worked even once!!, "Why even today I pulled out a move that never fails!" 

*FLASHBACK*

"I swept her off her feet and took her in my arms, I stared right into her eyes and she stared back, then finally using maximum amounts of charm I told her 'dearest Katie I can see the Galaxy, stars, and so much more in your eyes, it's the most beautiful sight I shall ever see.'"

 "She blushed and then I gave her my winning wink. I knew it this time, finally this moment is when I shall finally have her heart , and finally be promoted to senior fox! But then after that she gave a smile and hopped right out my arms!"

She then said, "Thanks I got new contacts today I'm glad you like them. Well gotta go." 

Kyubi was frozen in shock, so much to the point that both his ears and tails started to show but naturally he shooed them away per usual. 

Then before Katie could get away he yelled out. " W-WAIT WEREN'T YOU CHARMED AT ALL BY THAT?!?!?!?!"

Katie looked back contemplating that question for a moment. Then as smooth as always she answered by saying. " Hmmm I guess you could say I was charmed, but not as much as you may  think.

Kyubi was completely frozen in shock and disbelief wondering if he heard those words correctly.

Katie then says. "Hey look I'm sorry, I-I mean I'm really flattered by all you've done but--I'm just not all that interested" 

Kyubi is in a permanent frozen state of once again, shock and disbelief. Feeling as if he was just stabbed through the heart. 

Katie walks up to kyubi and says, "Look, I'm sorry, but I really do appreciate everything you've done."

Katie reaches into her pocket and pulls out something. "Here take this."

Katie hands a flower pin to kyubi. It was a sunflower, except the outermost petals were glittered purple, and the innermost petals were glittered blue. Kyubi comes out of his current state of shock for a moment and hesitantly takes the pin.

"Something to say thank you, whadya think?"

With as much as he could muster kyubi staggers out a few words saying. "I-It's b-beautiful, th-thank you" 

"Mmhmm no problem, well I actually have to go this time so I'll see you later byeeeeeee." Katie says running off.

A small wave of his hand and a whispered "bye" was all he could do in that moment, until he then walked off himself.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

After flashing back kyubi is still walking off pondering the current events. And with a heavy heart he stops and says with a sigh. " Oh dearest Katie all I wanted was your heart and more, but it seems the more I think about it the more I know that I may never win a single thing, I guess this means I won't be promoted to senior fox either."

With a saddened expression kyubi changes back into his yokai form and before he walks off he looks back in Katie's previous direction and says. " Looks like you've won, for I've given up." 

Kyubi then looks down into his hands and once again sees the flower pin that Katie had given to him. With a quivering sigh he then looks back once again and finally says. "Goodbye, dearest Katie."

With that said he then puts the flower pin in one of the bubbles he would usually keep a captured heart in, and continues to walk off more downtrodden than ever.

After walking for quite some time kyubi starts to speak to himself. "I wonder what I shall do now, I guess I'll have to stay up in the human world. No sense in going back to the fox king with only 99 hearts, heh. Maybe I cou-"

Suddenly from a distance. "Hey get back here!"

With slight shock kyubi says. "Eh, what in the world was that?"

With the feeling of  curiosity taking over his emotions he decides to go and see what that sudden noise was. Once he finally arrives to where he thinks the noise is coming from he then sees a normal boy running towards something. Kyubi quickly hides so he won't be seen by the boy, but then he hears him yell out.

" H-Hey I said stop!"

"Calm yourself Nate you mustn't get so worked up."

"Sorry it's just this yokai is really getting on my nerves." 

"Hmm, agreed."

With sudden shock and realization at seeing what that boy was chasing and exactly who that boy is talking to kyubi then hastily thinks to himself. "I-Impossible there's no way that boy could be chasing a yokai, let alone be talking to one right now!" "I must take a closer look there's just no way this can be happening."

And so with that kyubi decides to get a closer look and fully observe the boys actions. He then hops up in a near by tree and then decides to change back into his human form, just in case so he won't be detected to be something out of the norm.

And with that he begins to wait silently and focuses on what's happening saying. " Alright now let's see what we have here."

With new found frustration, Nate then decides to finally end this feud.

"OK, now it's time to finish this!"

Seeing this kyubi thought. "Well he seems to be very assertive."

Then Nate then starts to call in a yokai going through the same summoning activation movements as usual. He then pulls out his selected yokai medal, and with a loud, enthusiastic voice he says, as per usual. "COME ON OUT MY FREIND!" Flipping his medal in the air.

Seeing this kyubi comes to the shocking conclusion saying. "A y-yokai medal?, hmm he must poses a yokai-watch, I've heard of those things, but how did he ever come to get one? I assume it would have something to do with meeting that yokai he seems to be so friendly with."

With that thought on his mind he continues to observe Nate as he is still summoning a yokai while saying ,once again, in a booming voice. "SUMMONING HAPPIERRE!"

Kyubi looks in slight confusion not exactly knowing which yokai this is. "H-Happierre?"

Then finally Nate says his closing frase the finally summon the yokai. "YOKAI MEDAL DO YOUR THING!" Nate says as he finally inserts the medal into his watch. 

Suddenly a booming, low voice says. " SUMMONING HEARTFULLLLLL!" 

Then as a mystical flash of symboled strips emerged from the watch, soon after came out Happierre. Once he appeared, he danced along to the heartful theme as usual, finishing and then saying his name with great enthusiasm. "Happierre."

Whisper was very impressed with Nate's choice of yokai."Good thinking Nate! Happierre surely should be able to sooth this yokai's tempered nerves."

Hearing this nate nods in agreement and says. "Now, Happierre I would like you to calm down this yokai please."

Happierre in his jolly mood as always agrees by saying. "Wee wee my friend."

With this being said he goes over to the frustrated yokai and uses his signature power to calm him down. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working, in fact it seems to have frustrated the yokai even more, so he goes back to his friends to tell them the news. "Oh, I am sorry my friends but this yokai does not seem to be calming down."

Hearing this Whisper says with slight concern. "Oh my what should we do now Nate, call in Jibanyan maybe?"

With slight disappointment Nate says. "Nah, to be honest he probably wouldn't do much."

Seeing as the name is slightly familiar Kyubi thinks to himself. "Jibanyan huh, isn't he that cat yokai?"

Whisper, agreeing to Nate's previous statement says. " Hmmm true, well what do you suggest we do then?"

Just then, Nate thought of the perfect idea. " How about we just talk to him and see what's going on."

Whisper, impressed with Nate's decision says. "Yes good idea Nate, and may I say that is very mature of you." 

Nate feeling happy about the compliment says. " Thanks. Ok we'll take it from here Happierre, see ya later." 

Happierre still in his very jolly expression says. " Wee Wee, until next time my friends." After saying his goodbye he then flys off to who knows where, leaving the two to do what they will. 

With that Nate says. " Ok time to see what this yokai wants." 

Hearing this plan, and seeing how it's about to go into action Kyubi says. " He's going to try to speak to this yokai, interesting." 

After that Nate and Whisper finally approach the yokai. " Hey there, I don't think we've introduced ourselves, my name is Nate Adams, and this is Whisper."

Intrigued by finally hearing the yokai's name and the boys full name Kyubi says. " Whiper and Nate Adams." The boy's named seemed to intrigued him the most. 

After that, once they have introduced themselves the yokai does not seem to be anymore happy. So much to the point that he starts to ramble in his own type of language, with Nate not understanding and Whisper being able to barely interpret.

But from what he can understand Whisper says. " It seems that this yokai is not much for introductions." 

With this Nate says. " Awe, come on. Why don't we just calm down and you can tell us what's wrong."

Hearing this, and seeing how calm and determined Nate was, the yokai finally decides to talk. To do this he once again rambles in his own language for a moment. Then being only barely to interpret what the yokai had said Whisper says. " Hmmm, from what I can tell this yokai seems to be frustrated from means of rejection." 

Hearing this, and knowing how closely this resembles his current situation Kyubi staggers out. " R-Rejection?"

After this the yokai rambles once again in his own language seeming to agree with what Whisper interpreted. 

Seeming to understand the yokai's gesture Nate says. " Oh, so your upset because you were rejected by someone?" 

The yokai then agrees, but this time by only nodding his head with a saddened look.

Seeing this Nate says. " Oh, well I'm really sorry but I bet whoever rejected you is missing out."

The yokai looks at Nate with a shocked expression, and then Kyubi from his distance doing the same.

Nate then says seeing the yokai's shock. " Yeah, I mean besides all the stuff we've been through today, you seem like a pretty cool yokai. And even if someone rejected you, and doesn't want to be your friend then. I would love to be your friend."

The yokai then looks at Nate still with a shocked expression, but this time with a blush. Kyubi was doing the same but seemed to be blushing more heavily than the yokai.

Seeing that the yokai was starting to lighten up Nate says. " Yeah, we can have fun together and hang out whenever you'd like. Well, whadya say?"

Hearing this the yokai smiles a wide smiling and blushes even more, then the yokai meals in complete happiness. Because of this the yokai's medal appeared, with a magical flash surrounded by symboled strips, rising up to Nate. Just then Nate catches the medal and says with a loud enthusiastic sounding voice. " ALRIGHT, NOW YOUR IN MY SUPERNATURAL  ENTUORAGE!!"

Whisper being very proud says. " WELL DONE, NATE!"

With that Nate thanks Whisper, and then they say their "byes" to the yokai who decided to go on his way after that.

Then after seeing all that has happened. Kyubi's face is powdered with a heavy blush, his breath seemed to be quickening at an alarming rate that wouldn't slow down. With this he then staggers out. " T-This b-boy even after someone has b-been r-rejected so many times e-even h-he would s-still b-become a....f-friend?"

With this thought in mind Kyubi then realizes with an alarming amount of shock. " *gasp* T-THAT'S IT!!!! A PERSON WHO'S THAT AMIABLE IS BOND TO GIVE THEIR HEART!!!!!!" 

Then hearing his plan out loud he hastily thinks to himself. " Ohhhh, this could work. I mean he may be a boy, but still no one can resist my charms!" 

With excitement and slight desperation Kyubi hastily staggers out. " Oh t-this is perfect, I-I h-have to go and talk to him right no-"

Before be cold finish his sentence, the branch that he was observing on all this time was about to break! Possibly do to the long amount of time he has been sitting on it, and not seeing how flimsy it could be.

Due to the sudden shock of the current events, Kyubi wasn't able to channel enough of his agility to land safely. So with that he suddenly fell, with a most shocked scream. " YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

He knew he was about to hit the ground, readying his body for the impact. But to his suprise he never touched the ground. In fact it's seems as though he was caught by something, or just maybe someone.

With great confusing and a heavy daze with what just happened, Kyubi staggers out. " Ugh w-wha?"

As soon as he said this, he then hears a faint. "Ow" 

Still with much and confusion and great shock he says to himself. " Wha-What was t-that?" 

He then hears the voice more clearly. " Ugh, o-ouch my knees, oh but a-are you ok?"

Hearing the voice above him Kyubi slowly looks up and sees none other than, Nate.

He is filled with the utmost shock and suprise, then blushed extremely heavily without even knowing why. Until Nate looks down into his gaze to conclude that he was alright. 

Then as Kyubi was looking up and Nate was looking down they then look into each others gaze. Their looks soon become stares, stares that neither one of them could shake away from, nor really wanted to. In that moment it was if there was nothing else in the world but the two of them. Time stood still, and all felt magical as they continued to stare thinking to themselves. 

" Woah, his eyes....are actually really pretty."

" T-Those eyes I've seen them before. I've seen them in Katie before. Filled with so much care and kindness, but they were never like this. In his eyes it's like--it's like there's so much.....more."

As they continued to stare into each others eyes Nate decided to say.

" Um m-my name's Nate, w-what's yours?"

" M-My n-name is...is........
