It has been two days since the last time Kyubi and Nate have seen each other. 

Right now Nate and Whisper are out walking to the store. After a moment of walking, Whisper decides to speak up by saying.

" So Nate, feeling any better today?"

For the past couple days, Nate has been acting strangely. As to not talking much, and seeming a bit more downtrodden than usual.

Nate then replies by saying. " Yeah I guess. *sigh*"

Concerned, Whisper then asks. " What's the matter Nate?"

Nate then replies. " It's nothing really just that.....its been a while since the last time we've seen Kyubi, I wonder if he's ok."

Whisper then decides to say with a sly smirk. " Hmmm, is that really all you wonder?"

Slightly flustered by knowing what Whisper was referring to, he then quickly says. " Y-Yes, that's all I wonder! Geez, sometimes I just don't understand what goes on in your head."

Hearing this Whisper replies. " Why, whatever do you mean it's not like I have any....."

Whisper then gets in Nate face, quite closely. " Crazy ideas."

Nate, finding it funny how Whisper was so close to his face says. " Hahaha, whatever dude." Whisper then chuckles along with him.

After a moment of walking, Kyubi then sees Nate and Whisper walking close to where he was hiding, and decides he should soon step in. 

He then thinks to himself. " This is it, today is the day I shall finally get that heart, no backing down."

Soon enough, Nate and Whisper walk close to where Kyubi was. He then steps out stopping them both in their tracks.

Shocked by Kyubi's sudden appearance Nate says. " O-Oh Kyubi!?" He then slightly blushes.

Kyubi then became extremely flustered not knowing what to say next, he then thinks to himself. " Oh no I-I don't know what to say, I-I haven't thought of anything to say yet. Oh, what am I going to do!"

Concerned because Kyubi seemed to be frozen, Nate speaks up. " U-Um, Kyubi."

Kyubi then snaps out of it. " Oh, um, h-hello N-Nate."

Slightly releived, Nate replies. " H-Hi, so um*clears throat*, whatcha doing out here?"

Kyubi answers. " Oh, n-nothing really, what are you doing?"

Nate replies. " Oh, um, just walking to the store."

Kyubi to himself. " Now's my chance." He then says to Nate. " Oh, m-may I come with you?"

Nate, slightly shocked thinks to himself. " H-He wants to come with me! W-Well, I guess that'd be ok. .....It'll be fine, just gotta stay cool." He then says. " Ah, s-sure"

Hearing this, Kyubi says. " Oh, ok."

They then start to walk to the store together. After a moment, they start to think to themselves. 

*Nate's thoughts*

" This is cool I guess, but it's kinda awkward. I should probably say something. Ah, but I don't what to say, hmmmmm."

*Kyubi's thoughts*

" Alright, now's the time to get that heart! Hmm, but how? This isn't going to be like before, where I can just sweep him off his feet like a girl. Especially since he seems to be taller than me. He already likes me, but unless he openly loves me I can't claim his heart. He's too scared, I just need to do something that can push him over the edge."

Just then, Kyubi had an idea. " That's it! I'll just do the opposite, something more feminine. Like some sort of cute gesture. Alright, time to put this in action."

After Kyubi is done thinking, he then pretends to trip on something and fall over. " Ugh, ow!"

Nate, shocked and concerned says. " Oh, a-are you ok!"

Seeing how well his plan was going, he then says to himself. " This is it." He then says to Nate, as convincing as he could. " U-Um, I think I hurt something, could you help me up." Kyubi then slowly looks up at Nate, bats his eyes, and then makes the most adorable face he could muster and says.         " Pleeeeease?"

Nate then blushes heavily. Thinking that his plan was a success Kyubi says to himself. " Here we g-"

Suddenly, he realized that Nate was staring into his eyes, so he couldn't help but to stare himself. Realizing that his plan wasn't working like he hoped he thinks to himself. " O-Oh no, not again."

Still dazed by Kyubi's actions, Nate thinks to himself. " W-What was t-that. I-It was.....really, cute."

They continue to stare into each other's eyes, neither of them wanting to look away, not for a second. As they do this Nate starts to lean in slowly towards Kyubi.

As he leans in, he then says. " Kyubi."

" N-Nate."

Suddenly deciding to stop before anything could happen, Nate says. " U-Um, h-how about I-I help you up n-now."

Kyubi then slowly nods in agreement. Nate then picks up Kyubi in his arms just as he did before. They stay like this for a moment, until Kyubi decides to step down.

After this, Kyubi then thinks to himself. " I c-can't believe that d-didn't work. Hmm what am I going to do."

 Nate then thinks to himself too. " W-Well, t-that happened.....geez."

Kyubi then decides to finally speak up. " U-Um th-thanks.....again." 

Nate then replies. " Y-Yeah n-no problem."

There was a pause until, and they both start to blush.

Nate then says. " U-Umm, sh-should we keep going?

Still slightly flustered, Kyubi replies. " Y-Yeah, sure."

They then continue to walk to their destination. Soon enough, they finally arrive at the store they were heading to. 

Once they were finally there, Nate says. " Here we are."

Kyubi is staring at the store in slight awe. He's always seen stores before traveling around the city, but now he was surprised that he was about to actually go in one. He wasn't exactly sure what to do.

Seeing this, Nate asks. " You ok?"

Kyubi replies, still in slight awe. " Y-Yes."

After that, they both walk into the store.

After they do, Nate tells Kyubi. " I'm going to go get what I need, how about you browse around a little till I'm done."

Kyubi was once again struck with awe once they finally entered the store. So, because of this, all he could do in response was slowly nod.

After this, they then both walk off their separate ways. Kyubi decided to do as Nate suggested and browse around. As he was doing this, he comes across an isle filled with so many treats. He decides to check it out. Once he does, there was one treat that caught his eye. It seemed to be some kind of pink bun treat filled with strawberry creame. 

Seeing this, Kyubi thinks to himself. " That actually looks good.....I suppose I could eat something."

Once he picks up a treat, he hears something from a distance. " Kyubi!"

Hearing this, and recognizing who's voice it was, Kyubi says to himself. " Oh, that must be Nate, I better hur-RY!"

While Kyubi was trying to hurry and find Nate, he bumps into someone by mistake and falls down.

After this, all Kyubi utters is an. " O-Ouch."

He then hears a hefty sounding. " Hey!"

Kyubi then looks up, only to see a boy that seems to be slightly older but at the same time much bigger than he is.

Slightly panicked, Kyubi says. " O-Oh, I-I'm sorry."

The boy, seeming only to get angrier, heftily yelled out. " YEAH YOU BETTER BE SORRY PREETY BOY!"

After that, the boy shoves Kyubi.

Taken aback by the shove, Kyubi says. " H-Hey!"

The boy then says. " YOU SHOULD WATCH WHERE YOU'R GOING NEXT TIME, AND WHAT'S WITH THIS WIERD HAIR!"

Just then, the boy tugs on Kyubi's hair right where his ears would be.

Surprised and in pain from the tugging, Kyubi the sqeaks out. " O-OW! Hey l-let go!"

Seeing this, and being slightly entertained by Kyubi's reaction, the boy says. " HA HA, GONNA CRY PRETTY BOY!"

Kyubi, still in pain, thinks to himself. " Ugh! N-Nate help me.....wait what."

Just then, Nate finally comes in. Not happy with what he sees he yells out at the boy. " Hey!!"

Seeing Nate and not that impressed, the boy says. " WHAT DO YOU WANT, COME TO SAVE YOUR LITTLE FRIEND HA HA!"

After that, the boy tugs on Kyubi's hair again but this time slight harder. Now in even more pain, Kyubi sqeaks out another. " OWW!"

Nate then looks at Kyubi after he does this. Kyubi's face really did express he was in pain. So much to the fact that he became extremely teary eyed. Once Nate saw this, he is then filled with an overwhelming feeling of anger and protection. He did want anyone to touch Kyubi in such a way, he did not know why, but at that moment all he knew is that this boy better let go of Kyubi, or else.

Still filled with this strange feeling, Nate then says. " Let him go!"

Not appreciating Nate's tone, the boy yells out. " MAKE ME!"

Nate then walks up to the boy. With a serious expression he says. " I said...Let. Him. Go. Or else."

Just then the boy and Nate have a stare down. Every passing moment the boy became angrier but Nate refused to look away. After another moment, the boy seems to be madder than ever, but Nate still didn't look away. In fact just for a moment, there seemed to be this fire in his eyes that told him he would not back down.

Slightly intimidated by this, the boy finally decides to back off saying. " W-Whatever, this was getting lame anyway!"

The boy then finally let's go if Kyubi's hair, but only to shove him to the ground afterwards.

Kyubi, with pain still lingering in his head and now his backside, mumbles out. "UGH!"

The boy then finally leaves, shoving past Nate saying. " LATER LOSERS!"

Once the boy is finally out of sight, Nate rushes to Kyubi and offers him a hand up saying, with concern. " You ok?"

Kyubi, looking at Nate in awe for what he did earlier says. " Y-Yes."

Kyubi then grabs Nate's hand. Once they grab each other's hand, they suddenly feel some kind of electric shock. It was strange, and surprised it them both but they still blushed heavily. The shock didn't necessarily hurt, but once they both felt it, this feeling started to well up inside them. They then both think to themselves. 

Nate thinks. " W-What was....."

Kyubi thinks. " W-What in the....."

They stay in this position for a moment. Still pondering that feeling, and still staring in each other's eyes. All until whisper decides to cut in saying. " Um, Nate I don't mean to ruin the moment, but you you seem to be drawing a crowd." 

Hearing this, Nate looks up and sees that a couple were staring. Nate then freaks out and pulls Kyubi up as fast as he could saying. " U-Um, n-nothing to see here everyone!" Kyubi nods in agreement. 

After hearing this, everyone who was staring then walk away.

Once they were all gone Nate then asks Kyubi. " So um, are you sure your ok?"

Kyubi then hastily replies. " O-Oh um, yes.....thank you." Kyubi then blushes slightly.

Hearing this Nate says. " N-No problem."

Nate then looks down in Kyubi's hands and sees the treat that he pick up earlier.

Nate then asks. " Oh, did you want to get that?"

Kyubi then realizes that he still had the treat in his hands, and slowly nods. 

Nate then replies. " Ok, here I'll buy it for you."

Taken aback by the sudden gesture, Kyubi says. " Ah, n-no that's ok"

Nate insisted, saying. " It's fine, really."

Kyubi, finally giving in says. " O-Ok." He then puts the treat in Nate's hand.

Nate then says. " Alright, come on let's go."

Nate and Kyubi then walk off towards the cashier. Nate then buys Kyubi's treat and his things, and they walk out the store together. 

After a moment or two of walking, Kyubi decides to try his treat. He opens it up and takes a bite. Once he does, he is mesmerized by how good it was. He had never tasted anything like it, and he loved every bite. 

Then, almost unconsciously, he least out a satisfied. " MMMMMMMM!"

Slightly surprised, Nate asks. " You like it?"

Not really thinking, Kyubi answeres saying. " It's so good!"

He then looks at Nate with a happy smile and small blush.

Seeing this, Nate blushes heavily and quickly looks away saying. " G-Good, I'm glad."

Hearing this, Kyubi then smiles to himself and goes back to eating his treat.

Not wanting to interrupt but needing to go, he then tells Kyubi. " H-Hey um sorry, but I really have to get home or my mom's gonna kill me, ya know."

Kyubi, slightly not wanting Nate to leave yet but knowing he had to go, replies by saying. " O-Oh yeah, I understand."

Nate then says. " Well um, I guess I'll see you later then."

Kyubi then replies. " Y-Yes."

Nate then finally says. " Alright, see you later....Kyubi."

Surprised by Nate's sudden pause and pronunciation of his name, Kyubi blushes heavily. 

He then utters out a. " B-Bye."

After this, Nate then walks off waving to Kyubi. Kyubi waves back until Nate is out of sight

After that, Kyubi then looks down at the still half eaten treat in his hands and says to himself, with a sigh. " Nate."
