Marilyn's POV

"Mum do you know where my bag is?" I said rifling through my cupboard trying to see if I could identify my black worn out bag, underneath all my clothes sprawled on top.

My mum yells from downstairs "Have you found it yet?"

"No!" I yelled back. I raked my fingers through my hair and was still worried if the new haircut was a good look on me. I looked through the drawers and hidden beneath the bras and underwear was my bag. My phone switched on with another annoying notification. I tapped on my phone to see the time 07:50.

I'm going to be late if I don't leave now! I thought gritting my teeth.

"Mari come downstairs! Or your gonna be late." I heard my mother calling.

"Coming!" I yelled back in response.

Checking myself once more in the mirror I raced downstairs to see mum wearing her new secretary work clothes.

"Now Mari, this is a big day for both of us, so give a good first impression and don't get into trouble. We don't want the school calling us again to discuss your behaviour. Understand?"

"Yes mum I get it, don't get into trouble. So can I leave now"?

I waited for my mother's response and it felt like a lifetime until she answered "yes". I could not wait to get away from my mother's constant lectures. It wasn't that I disliked them it was that they went on for some time.

"Yes, you can go, have you got your packed lunch?"

"Please mum can you stop treating me like a child, and yes I do have my lunch. Mum...?"

"Yes?"

"Have you seen dad?"

My mother's eyes darkened. "No, I haven't seen him but you should give him a call to let him know you're starting your first day in year 11."

"Um....yeah I'll think about calling him."

As I walked towards the door, I turned back to see my mother's silent gaze searching my face and waited...

"Bye Marilyn" was the last response as she closed the front door. The cold autumn air hit my face as I smiled at the refreshing welcome.

Finally, freedom at last.

Hello everyone!!! Wow I'm so excited I cannot believe I have started to write fan fiction on "Miraculous". I've always had the thought of doing it but never had the time to actually force myself to sit by a laptop and start typing on word document. So here I am!!!'

Obviously the story is a little bit different and don't hate me *cowering* but I have changed most of the names of characters and basically altered a lot. Try to have an open mind and forget the Miraculous Ladybug you know in the series. There will be no superheroes, however I will be mentioning most of the things in the series in this fan fiction.

I really REALLY hope *emphasis on really* for you, yes YOU READER to enjoy reading this fan fiction and any criticism or ideas on how to improve it please do let me know. Do not forget to vote, comment or follow me. If you haven't then just have fun reading. If you haven't done that I don't know why your reading "an authors note" . 😂
