Marilyn's POV

Lessons had ended and lunch had begun. Me and Adrien were the talk of the day and word spread about the incident with the headmaster. Ava apologised to me over and over and I kept telling her I'd forgiven her. I laughed at how funny she was and told her not to worry, it was all a misunderstanding and it my fault for my stifled laughter.

"Mari I really am sorry..."

"Don't think about it Ava. If it wasn't for Adrien, Mr Agreste would have called my mother... I guess I should be thanking him?"

"Well thank our lucky stars Adrien helped you out!" Ava smiled.

"Lucky? hmmm I guess it was" I murmured to myself.

"Did you say something?" Ava looks at me quizzically.

"I- err no. No I didn't say anything!"

We walked to the canteen with Ava talking about the new article she posted on the school blog and how equality for both men and women should be spread worldwide. She was such a great outgoing and passionate friend. Even though I hadn't known her for long I could tell she was loyal.

The peaceful duo was crashed with the sudden outburst of Nathan making us scream in surprise. He laughed so hard tears run down his cheeks.

"Not funny Nathan. You nearly gave me and Mari a heart attack." Said Ava frustrated.

"Oh, come on! I couldn't help myself. You guys looked like an easy target!" Nathan replied still laughing.

I shook my head and laughed along with Nathan of how hilarious the situation was. We walked to the canteen together and the distant conversation of Ava and Nathan were blocked as my thoughts wondered to where Adrien was. He was in a hurry to go somewhere that I had no time to thank him for saving me from Mr. Agreste.

I hope he didn't get into too much trouble because of me, what if Mr. Agreste told him to see him at lunch?

My thoughts were spinning uncontrollably and awakened at the sound of my name being repeated. Ava and Nathan stared at me with a look of concern. I noticed that tears were streaming down my face and my sight was blurry.

"Marilyn are you okay?" Ava gently gripped my arm.

"Yeah dude you have tears streaked on your face..." Nathan looked at me worriedly.

"I'm fine. I'm sorry I-I ...umm have allergies and suffer from hay fever. I sometimes don't realise I'm crying until later on. Please don't be worried, it's honestly nothing." I lied.

They both considered my answer and continued to chat about Ava's blog. We passed the library and I felt this unexpected urge to go inside. I wasn't really hungry and the temptation to feel the pages of books and drink in the words made it impossible to resist. I told Ava and Nathan of my desire and the look I was given was confusion and dismay.

"Ok girl, if that's what you want. Me and Nathan will meet you in the library after we finished our lunch." Ava said hesitantly.

They both waved at me and I walked quickly to the library.  

The smell of musty old books and the silent peace made me feel at home and safe. I say hello to the librarian and walk over to the classics section at the far end corner and pick a book at random.

"Hmm the blurb of this book seems interesting." I smiled content with my decision.

I turn around satisfied, but caught the glimpse of a tall boy with blonde wavy hair and the greenest of eyes staring at me.

"Whaat??" My feet conscientiously moved back.

My left foot got caught by my bag on the floor and I tripped losing my balance.

"AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!"

"Mari" Adrien's panicked voice pierced through my thoughts.

Once again I am rescued by strong arms. As I regain my balance I blush suddenly and began to feel insecure of my posture and couldn't help to notice a girl maybe eleven behind him.

How long had he's been standing there?
OMG! WAS HE WATCHING ME??

"Are you alright Marilyn? I didn't mean to scare you!" Adrien said. His strong arms held me upright, I didn't have the courage to let go as I knew I wasn't in the position to let go of him. I was certain if I did let go, my legs would waver and unbuckle.

"Adrien...um thanks you are my hero! I mean a hero for saving me. I umm... very clumsy. No? You should save me more often! Wait! I meant you should save other girls because you're beautiful."

Oh, God, I wanted to die.

"Huh?" Adrien replies uncomfortable. A huge laughter erupted from the young girl behind him and I couldn't help myself but blush and feel faint with my awkward and awful reply. 

Adrien looks confused and clearly wanted to change the subject. He gestures to the young girl behind him who is now already rolling on the floor.

"She's my younger sister Peggy. You know the one Ava used to babysit." The mention of Ava's had somehow stopped Peggy rolling around in hysterics, and she stood up with her brightened face filled with joy reflecting like the Sun.

"No way, Ava goes to this school. My babysitter! Why didn't you tell me this Adrien and you're supposed to be looking after me!" Adrien reddened but said nothing.

"Can I go and see her?" Peggy said jumping up and down.

"No! Peggy!" Yelled Adrien. I have never seen Adrien angry before and startled me as well as Peggy. The librarian came at the back to see the commotion and told us all to be quiet. Adrien quietly apologised to the librarian.

I looked at Peggy and said "Hey, you will see Ava. She told me her and Nathan were going to come to the library after they finished their lunch."

"Really?" She said her dazzling green eyes danced in the sunlight. I put out my pinkie finger and said "pinkie promise square".

She entwined her pinkie finger with mine and laughed.

"I'm going to take some books out" Peggy said rushing off.

Adrien looked at me and said thank you. I blinked maybe three times. "Let's just say I did owe you one! Thank you for standing up for me from Mr. Agreste!" I said timidly.

He stared at me and for a moment time slowed down the familiarity of his face had struck me once again and I pushed away the thoughts. He blushed and his eyes averted on the book I was holding.

"You love to read?" He said.

"Yes, I love to read! It's stupid...but I find it calming just coming to the library ." I praised myself for my answer and smiled at how easy it was to discuss my passion and love.

"If I tell you something, you promise not to get offended?" Said Adrien teasingly.

"Um... I'll try not to depending on what it is!" I said intrigued.

"The book that you're holding is one of the worst books ever written in history it was so boring I fell asleep reading the first page!"

My mind just went blank...

Couple seconds went past and he started to get worried if he had wounded my honour.

I looked at him and focused on his face. The way his blonde hair was swept casually on one side the way his green eyes sparkled under the light he was standing in. His posture confident yet still familiar. I couldn't help myself but laugh at his comment. I laughed and laughed and laughed, gripping the chair to hold myself upright.

Relieved with my outburst we both laughed and didn't stop laughing until we saw Nathan and Ava coming in the library with an ecstatic Peggy running towards Ava.

I walked over to Nathan and Ava and became disappointed with the moment between Adrien and me were gone. I still couldn't help myself but think how recognized his laughter was to me even though I didn't know him that well. The urge to ask Adrien if he felt the same as me was an itch needing to be rid of. In fear I kept my mouth shut as I didn't want to lose my friendship, insanity, and discomfort.

My eyes trailed to his arm and that's when I saw his hands bruised and bloodied. Next to his bleeding hands I realised his jacket had a few drops of blood that were clearly visible.

I wanted to scream in horror but my gaze was fixated at his hands... what happened to him?
It was until I looked up I realised Adrien was staring at me.

Oh no...

Yes I have finally updated!!! 🎉
I had fun writing this chapter of Marilyn's POV. I Hope everyone is doing well 😊

Now what do you think of the fan-fiction so far? *jumping up and down* 😂
*stops jumping and comes back down to reality* 😭

I should start working on the characters list but I don't know if I should still go through it. 🤔 It would be awesome if any one of the "Miraculouz" readers could give me a comment or some helpful advice.

Now I have watched the episode "Gorizilla" it seems that I had "accidentally" missed out season 2 episode 10. Why cruel world!!!!??
Anyway... I found it absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed it. My younger sister got to see me laughing with tears in my eyes. Do people still do shipping wars?
As I totally ship Adrien x Ladybug!!! Awww 😍 they are so cute together.

Ok now back to my fan fiction... I left it off with a cliffhanger. So what do you think happened to Adrien's hands.

Guess we will have to wait and see. Stay tuned 😁 😂
