"I'm home!"

"Papa!" The ravenette darted out of the kitchen, racing towards him. Robin barely had enough time to put his stuff down when she jumped on him, pulling her father into a squeeze hug.

"Ah! Morgan!" He laughed, hugging back, "Hello Sweetie. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she let go, smiling, "Gaius told me what happened. By the way," Morgan lowered her voice, giggling, "Chrom is in the living room. He came over looking for you."

"Does he know?"

"Yeah, I told him."

"Alright," the tactician kissed his daughter's forehead, "Go hide, I'll take care of it."

"What are you going to do?" She tilted her head, frowning.

"Don't worry," he smiled, ruffling her hair, "I've got a plan."

"You're going to pretend I don't exist, aren't you?" His daughter scowled, knitting her eyebrows together.

"That was the plan, but don't worry. I still love you."

"You better!" She pushed him playfully, giggling, "I'll go hide in the basement."

"I'll come get you when they're gone," he called, as she ran off to the basement door. It opened, and she rushed down the stairs.

Robin went into the living room, smiling when he saw the blue haired man on his couch.

He walked forward, and covered his eyes, "Guess who?"

"You know I recognize your voice, right Babe?" Chrom laughed, grabbing his hands and moving them. Robin flushed at the nickname, laughing.

"I figured, I just wanted to try it," he walked around the couch, plopping down next to the commander, "Morgan said she told you?"

"Yeah," his boyfriend nodded, "I heard the basement door open, is she…?"

"Yep," the tactician smiled, leaning against him, "You want to watch Netflix while we wait?"

"Netflix and chill?" Chrom smirked.

"Not that kind of chill, you horny bastard!" The snow haired man laughed, though his face turned a vibrant shade of red, shoving his boyfriend playfully and picking up the remote. Chrom laughed as well, wrapping his arm around Robin and pulling him closer.

"I know, you're just fun to tease."

"Bastard."

"Bitch."

"Fuck you!"

"I did that last night."

"Chrom!" The tactician blushed even more if that was possible, "Gods… Did you know Henry found out about that?"

The commander blinked, "Seriously? How?!"

"I don't know, but Lucina knows now."

"Oh Gods…"

Robin opened Netflix on his TV, and they scrolled through the shows, finally settling on an anime they both liked. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

"Alchemy is kind of like magic," Chrom noted.

"Sort of," Robin shrugged, "It's a lot more scientific though."

"Philosopher's stone is basically magic," he replied.

Robin made a snarky retort, making them both snicker.

Halfway through the second episode, there was a knock on the door.

Knock knock!

Robin sighed, not wanting to get up. The knocking quickly turned into banging, and he paused the show.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" He shouted, standing and walking over. His eyebrows furrowed together as he frowned, approaching the door.

He opened it, revealing a group of policemen. The lead one, a man with shoulder length black hair, scowled at him.

"Uh, can I help you…?"

"Are you Mr. Levin?" He asked.

"That's me," Robin nodded.

Another man, with a spiky mess of blue hair, came up in front of the first, "Sorry for barging in like this Sir, but we have reason to believe someone living here is a Shepherd." Robin recognized him, the chief of police.

"I'm not a Shepherd," he frowned.

"Not you Mr. Levin," the black haired man sighed.

"I'm the only one who lives here," Robin replied.

"Listen here," he scowled, shoving a piece of paper in his face, "We have a warrant to search your home."

It was most definitely a warrant, and the tactician sighed.

"Alright, come on in."

He stepped out of the way, and the officers came in.

"Spread out and search the area," the black haired man ordered, "Don't leave any place untouched."

"...What's going on?" Chrom asked, feigning surprise as they entered the living room.

"You said you lived alone," the black haired man raised an eyebrow.

"He's visiting," Robin sighed.

"I'm Chrom," the blue haired man stood up, throwing his arm around Robin's shoulder and grinning, "Nice to meet you!"

"And you, Sir," the chief smiled back, "I'm Ike, the chief. This is Soren, my right hand man."

Soren rolled his eyes.

"Do you have any family in the city Mr. Levin?" He asked, taking out a notepad, "A daughter or wife?"

Robin tensed up slightly, "...No Sir. My wife is dead."

"No children?"

"No."

Ike elbowed his frowned, frowning, "I'm sorry to hear that about her, Mr. Levin."

"This door is locked!" One of the officers called, tugging on the basement door.

"That's the basement," he replied, "There's honestly not much down there but old clothes and trash."

"Please unlock the door so we can search it," Soren replied, sighing.

The tactician knew better than to argue, so he went up to the door, taking out his keys. It unlocked quickly, and he went down with the officers close behind.

"I told you, there isn't much down here other than old stuff I don't use anymore," he said, raising his voice slightly. If the officers heard the same rushing footsteps, they didn't say anything.

"I can see that," Ike muttered, as they once again spread out to search.

"I didn't know you were once married," Chrom muttered, coming to stand behind Robin at the base of the stairs.

"I… didn't think it was important," he replied quietly.

"Robin-"

"Not right now, okay?"

The blue haired man faltered, but nodded.

Soren scowled, "I'm getting tired of this. I know you're lying to me, Mr. Levin, where is your daughter?"

"I told you, I don't have one," Robin replied, staying calm. Chrom tensed up.

He took out his phone, sighing, "I had a conversation with someone named Gaius, claiming to be the Shepherds hacker. It was heavily implied that a student at Feather High School named Morgan Levin, was part of the Shepherds. Am I to assume you are as well?"

The tactician ran scenarios through his head, not responding right away.

"With all due respect Sir," Chrom took Robin's hand, "I've known Robin a long time, and he does not have a daughter, and is most definitely not part of the Shepherds."

Soren rounded on him, but before he could open his mouth, Ike pulled him back with a sigh.

"Calm down. You aren't normally this hotheaded… I'm sorry, we've just been on edge with the recent crimes. We were unable to track this Gaius through his number, but he provided picture evidence of Miss Levin's involvement, though seemingly by accident. It'll be easier for everyone if you just tell us where she is."

He seemed calm, but Robin could tell he was on edge. Chrom stayed quiet, as he took a deep breath.

"I told you before, Officer. I live alone, and do not have a daughter, nor am I part of the Shepherds, Grimleal, or any other gang in the city."

"You hesitated," Soren said.

"Did not," Robin retorted.

"You did. You're lying," he crossed his arms, "Lying to officers can get you in prison."

"I'm not lying!" He scowled.

Ike sighed, turning to the other officers, "Keep searching. Mr. Levin, Mr. Chrom, I hope you don't mind if we speak upstairs?"

"Not at all," Robin replied, shaking his head, "I'll make some tea."

The 4 of them went back upstairs, the three sitting at the dining room table while the snow haired man went to make some tea. He came back after a few setting the tray down in the middle and pouring some for himself and the others.

"You understand how important it is for us to catch the Shepherds, right?" The chief asked, "They've become much more dangerous over the past few weeks then ever before."

"Yes Sir," Robin responded, before Chrom could, knowing his boyfriend would just defend them.

"So with the information we have, you understand that it's crucial for citizens to cooperate with us."

"Mhm."

"Mr. Levin, we spoke with the school, and students claiming to be friends with Morgan. All of them said you were her father, and this is where she lives. If you truly do not have a daughter, we will be forced to take them in for questioning on the charge of lying to us."

The two of them tensed up, neither sure how to respond.

There was a crash downstairs, and thumping. The basement door burst open, and none other than Morgan herself, darted out of the basement and up the stairs.

"What the-" Ike was cut off by Robin abruptly standing and running after her, Chrom close behind. The other officers were upstairs quickly, and raced after them.

The chief and his right hand man were the last to enter Robin's bedroom, which was now full of people. Two officers outside, and two inside, all with guns loaded and pointing at the trio.

Robin hugged his daughter close, glaring at the officers, as Chrom stood next to them. All three were tense.

"What is this?" Ike demanded.

"We found her Sir," an officer replied, "It's that girl he's holding."

Morgan squeaked, burying her face into Robin's torso, "Leave me alone! I didn't do anything!"

"So you do have a daughter," Soren scowled, "and you lied to us."

"Hold on a minute," the chief stopped his advance, stepping forward, "I'm sure there's a logical explanation for this. Right, Mr. Levin?"

The tactician's grip around his daughter tightened, "She's my daughter. You can't have thought I was just going to let you take her."

"Understandable, but if you don't you'll go to jail with her," Soren retorted. His gun was out now.

"I didn't do anything!" Morgan exclaimed. Startled, Robin registered that she was crying, but it just made his grip on her tighten. He wasn't about to give up his only child.

Chrom was tense, ready for a fight though he didn't say anything.

"You don't have to be involved in this," Ike turned to him, "I can tell you care, but-"

"No," the commander grit his teeth, "If you want them, you have to get through me."

He stood protectively in front of the pair, scowling. Robin frowned, but he was too preoccupied to protest.

"Then all of you, hands up behind your head," Soren ordered. None of them moved.

Robin took a deep breath, straightening up. Morgan continued to hug him like her life depended on it as he spoke.

"May I see the photos that Gaius sent you?"

They all blinked.

"...Why?"

"Just show them to me."

Soren hesitated, but dug out his phone and pulled up the pictures. Robin scrolled through them.

"None of this is proof that Morgan or I are involved with the Shepherds," he said, "Just that she was involved in an accident that they happened to be there for. The Grimleal kidnapped her, and they saved her."

The officers began to frown as he spoke.

"There's no proof whatsoever that she is a Shepherd," the tactician exhaled shakily, "Or that I am, which means you can't arrest us."

Soren opened his mouth, but Ike stopped him.

"He's right, Soren."

The officer grit his teeth, "I know," he took his phone back, "We'll be keeping an eye on you, Mr. Levin. You still lied to us."

"It was a necessary precaution," Robin replied, "Now, if you'll excuse us…"

He picked up his daughter, who sniffled, and walked out of the room.

"I think you've overstayed your welcome," Chrom muttered to the officers, before following.

Ike just nodded, rounding up the officers and then leaving.

The commander found his boyfriend on the couch, holding his daughter, who was practically in tears. He supposed the police really had scared her.

He sat down next to them, offering a reassuring smile, and Robin managed a weak smile in response before turning his attention back to Morgan.

It was quiet after that.
