Chapter Three: Good Day Out
It has been a month since. The fact that you don't have to sneak out of the house anymore is a nice change. You and Silco were getting closer day by day, and your friendship with the rest went amazingly well.
You're walking over the bridge without a care in the world because you can finally visit your friends in a normal, carefree way and walk by the enforcers like you have them on a leash. They've finally left you alone. The day has already started out amazingly. When you arrive at The Last Drop, you walk in and see Silco sitting at the bar, writing in the notebook that you gave him. Vander is behind the bar, cleaning glasses from the night before. Getting this place up and running is amazing to see; so many people have come together to talk and hang out in one place.
You seat yourself beside Silco. "So, what are you boys up to?"
Vander chuckles. "Not much, but what's with your good mood?"
You give a sly smile. "I mean, I'm with my favorite friends. I can finally come to you guys whenever I want without sneaking around. It has been a month already, but it's still a good change. So how about a drinking night, just a tiny celebration to have this place up and running, and to Zaun?"
You see Vander thinking. "Alright, could be fun. How about you, brother? Up for a drinking night?"
He looks over at Silco, still writing away. Silco looks up, looks at both you and Vander, and says, "Why not? We could use some fun." You smile. Then that's settled. Now, Vander, do you want any expensive liquor for just the five of us? Vander points at Silco. Actually, Silco knows a good one. You looked puzzled that Silco would know about some good liquor. From Vander, yes, but from Silco, you didn't expect it. You spoke. I guess everyone is full of surprises. Silco had a sly smirk on his face, even for the Peacock.
You quickly wiped the smirk off his face, and it was replaced by shock and red-tinted cheeks for the nickname you gave him. Again, he thought two could play at this game while you started to walk out. You asked if he was coming. He walked over to you, slung his arm around your shoulder, and said, "Guess the poro can stand up for herself." Now you were bright red; you couldn't even respond, so you gave him a friendly little push in his side to get him off you. You both walked out, with Vander yelling at the two of you to be nice to each other. Vander saw how you two liked each other, but you're both oblivious to it.
After walking for some time without saying anything to each other, you arrived at the bridge to Piltover. Silco was so deep in thought with himself, he didn't even notice you both were at the bridge and questioned, "Why are we here?" You thought he had forgotten what you two were doing. "Um, to get liquor for tonight?" "Yes, I know that, but why in Piltover?" Because they have some good liquor and you knew a good brand. Or are you a scaredy-cat?" you challenged him.
"No, I'm not. I just didn't expect to come here." You gave him an apologetic look. "Sorry, I should have told you where we were going." He placed his hand on your shoulder, saying, "It's fine. Just warn me next time." You smiled and said, "I will."
You both were almost to the bridge when a male enforcer came walking over with a power trip on his mind. You both stopped in front of him. The enforcer stated, "What is scum like him doing here?" You got a little mad at the enforcer but kept your head cool. "First of all, he is not scum. He is just as normal as any of us, and he is with me. If you have a problem with that, I'll make you lose your job on the spot."
Obviously, the enforcer didn't like the back talk you gave him. Instead of keeping his head cool, he decided it was a good idea to punch you. But with your quick reflexes, you swept him off his feet, landing him on the floor. You take his badge, look at it, and show it to Silco so he can write it down, which he does. You turn back to the enforcer, still on the floor. In your first year as an enforcer, you get fired by my mother, Cassandra Kiramman. How sad.
Silco is absolutely amazed by your outstanding skill and how fast you reacted to that punch. He didn't expect that you would defend him like that. It gave him a newfound appreciation for you. Ever since he met you, you've had this fiery aura around you-not in a bad way. It's the aura you think of when you protect your friends and family, stopping at nothing. And he's not going to lie about it, he loves it. As he snapped out of his thoughts, he offers you a smile, silently expressing his gratitude. You reciprocate with a smile of your own.
You both were finally in the city. Silco asked if he could go into another shop first. You waited on the spot. When he finally returned, you asked if he found what he was looking for. "No, sorry for letting you wait." In reality, he found a necklace for you-a heart-shaped one with a rose in the middle. The heart signified his love, and the rose represented how sweet you could be, but the thorns symbolized how deadly you could be. He wanted to give it to you at the right time, so he safely tucked it away in his pocket.
After going to the liquor store, Silco recommended the Mount Gay Black Barrel. He said it was really good rum, so you took a couple of them so Vander could also sell them afterward. You went home and introduced Silco to your mother and father. They definitely took a liking to him. You told them you were going out for the night and would return sometime the next day. You also told them about the enforcer who tried to attack you and Silco. Your mother said she would personally deal with him. After that, you went back with Silco to the Last Drop.
Walking inside, the bar was already pretty packed with people. You went behind the bar to Vander to give him the rum, and Silco went to sit by the bar beside Connal and Felicia. Vander spoke to you, telling you that Silco would know some good liquor. He then asked why you were both late. You chuckled and said, "To keep a long story short, we had a run-in with a Power-hungry enforcer who was being a dick head" To Silco. I backed Silco up. Mister Goon tried to punch me, and I laid him flat on his back. I had to inform my mother of where I was going; it's part of the deal, so I went home with Silco for a few. Vander laughed. Quite the story you have to tell me. The full one someday, I definitely will, big guy. Now I want that rum I bought for us.
Coming right up, little lady. Vander poured five glasses for all of us and set them in front of us. You sat by Felicia so you could talk to her. Vander clinks his glass a few times to get yours and the whole bar's attention. He raises his glass. "Zaun isn't Zaun without its people, so raise your glasses for freedom for Zaun!" Everyone in the bar yelled in unison for Zaun! and everyone clinked their glasses. Of course, the five of you did the same.
After a few drinks, you were getting a little tipsy but not yet completely; you still could hold a normal conversation. Felicia talks to you. "You like him, don't you?" You looked confused at her. "Who?" you say, oblivious. "Silco. You keep looking over in his direction." "I do? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you." She interrupted you. "No, no, it's fine. It's just cute that you like him. Is it that obvious?" Felicia chuckled. "Yes, it is. Only you two are oblivious to it."
You blush a little in embarrassment and drink the rest of your drink. You ask Vander for a stronger one. He looks puzzled at you but gives you one anyway. "Hey, don't feel embarrassed by it. Connal and I were the same back then. You were?" "Yes, we eventually saw it. It took some time, but I'm sure the right time will come for you too, (Y/N)." You smile. "Thanks, Felicia. You know you're like a sister to me. I'm glad I've met you and the boys." She smiles back. "I'm glad I met you too, (Y/N). You're like a sister to me too." She gives you a big hug and you hug her back.
After a while you where definitely buzzed and this time you sat beside Silco who definitely noticed you, where blabbering all sorts of stuff to him Vander already stopped giving you drinks you where getting a little dizzy so you said you had to get some fresh air Silco even guiding you outside walking outside didn't help at all you ran to a bin you saw and emptying all youre contents in it silco walked over stroking youre back better? loads if i ever try to drink that mutch again you personally stop me Silco laughed deal you both walked back inside and you asked Vander for some water you drink some of it
Eventually, somehow, you passed out at the bar. Vander speaks to Silco. "Would you mind taking her to your place? You can lay her in the spare room." Silco only nodded, tired and definitely also a little buzzed. Silco woke you up, shaking you a little. "Come on, (Y/N), let's get you to bed." You were already awake from the shaking. "Alright," you said. You and Silco walk out of The Last Drop. You have an arm around his shoulder, and he has one on your waist. The three friends see you both leaving and wonder when you will finally confess to each other.
Silco brought you to his home. He laid you down on the spare bed before he left the room. You said, "Thank you, Silco, for the amazing day." He smiled softly. "Thank you too." He left your room and went to his own room. He fell on his bed with a soft hum. This month has been a weird one, but also very pleasurable. Your friendship became more interesting. You learned more stuff about him. You found him charming and handsome. His green eyes captivated you, almost a drowning feeling, but you loved it. His calm nature that you loved so much. His beautiful black hair. But he is also learning about you: how brave you are, how your (H/C) hair complements your face, your beautiful (E/C) eyes that captivate him every time.
He couldn't stop thinking about you, and you couldn't stop thinking about him. The whole night was spent thinking about how you would confess to him. You didn't want to rush things. Silco had the same dilemma, just thinking of the perfect time to confess to you. Both of you had an internal struggle that night, not knowing what would come next.
