Chapter One: How Friendship Started

Living in Piltover was never your cup of tea. You hated how bland everything felt there, so ever since you were 15, you would sneak out of your home to go to the undercity. Why did you sneak out? Because your mother found out once, and because of her status in Piltover, she would set the guards on the lookout for you whenever you tried to sneak out. It was always a hassle in the beginning to get past the guards, but it got easier over time. You became great at sneaking past the goons.

Over the years, you have met Silco, Vander, Felicia, and Connol, her now-husband. You have always had a great time together, always laughing and having fun. You mostly hung out with Silco; the two of you were inseparable. He always had this calm aura about him that you found comforting and loved about him. So now, let's see how you met them in the first place.

This was your 100th time sneaking out of the house to get to the undercity. You weren't even sure how many times it had been at this point. Your mom was furious when she found out the first time you went there and forbade you from going there ever again. She put those enforcers on the lookout for you at the border, but you couldn't care less. You hated Piltover and needed a bit of adventure in your life, so off you went. Sneaking out of the house was easy enough, but getting past the goons was another thing. Since you love building things, this time you made a little smoke bomb to distract them. You would always sneak past them, but this time you wanted a bit of fun.

You are standing behind a wall, ready to make a run for it. Before you do, you light the smoke bomb and throw it to the enforcers, distracting them. You know of an elevator in a building that goes to the undercity, and that's where you are running to now. After getting past the goons when you get in the building, you use the lever to go down. The Undercity has always been interesting to you, and today you plan to go to the mines, curious about what is going on there. You are smart enough not to wear clothes from Piltover. You make your own to fit right in with the people down here because the first time you wore your "fancy clothing," you got all sorts of dirty looks thrown your way.

After the elevator descended all the way down, you began walking toward the mines, purchasing items along the way and giving extra money to those who were more in need than you were. After walking for some time, you finally reached the mines, but the place appeared deserted. They had likely finished for the day. You truly wanted to speak to some of the people who had been working there. You thought for a moment, and an idea occurred to you: perhaps exploring the mines would provide you with the answers you sought.

After a while of walking in the mines, you didn’t get any wiser as to why Piltover wanted these people to work in the mines. I mean, you could ask your mom, but she probably wouldn’t give you an answer anyway, so she doesn’t fuel you to get down here. Well, her mission has failed. When you started walking deeper into the mines, you started to hear voices talking to each other, so of course, you walked towards them. Eventually, you came across a door, and that’s where the voices came from, so you gave a little knock on it. You waited a few seconds, and the door opened. You saw a tall, broad-built man with blue eyes and short brown hair and clean-shaven standing in the doorway, but you felt a suspicious yet kind aura around him. He began to speak, "So, what is a young lady like you doing down here in the mines?"

"Well, first of all, my name is (Y/N), and I was wondering what Piltover wants with the mines." The man looked behind him for a second in confusion, probably at the person he was talking to, and turned his head back to you with the same confusion he started with. "I don't mean to be rude, but everyone here in Zaun knows why we mine for Piltover." You chuckled nervously. then you wouldn't like the answer im about to give i am from Piltover The next second, you were pulled into the little room, and the door closed behind you. You got a little mad at how he did it. First, don't you dare do that again, and second, don't fucking touch me. Before the tall man could respond, you hear a male voice behind you saying with a chuckle, "We've got a feisty one, Vander."

You turned around to look at the person who said it and you saw him sitting at the table, writing on some paper. He has black hair, a man bun, and a lock that goes over his left eye a bit. He has beautiful green eyes. He was a lot more lanky and less taller than his friend. You have to admit, he is handsome. "Don't encourage her, Silco. Now, I want to know why someone from Piltover wants to know what we are doing down here in the mines." Vander went to sit at the table that whas in the middle of the room you cross your arms under youre bust you spoke The answer is very simple no one whants to tell me to keep me away from the undercity but there failing miserably at it

Silco gave a questioning look and spoke, "Why would someone from Piltover be willing to come down here?" You chuckle. "Easy. Up there is bland and boring. Down here, I can have a bit of fun and adventure, meet amazing people and help them out. You learn something every day down here. Now, my question still isn't being answered." You look at the two men, and Vander spoke. "We work in the mines to get paid by Piltover, and in return, they get the raw materials they need. We don't know what Piltover does with it." You were deep in thought. You didn't notice Vander and Silco talking. "We could use her help," Vander said.

Silco thought for a moment and sighed. "You're probably right, especially if she can help with getting things from Piltover." Vander smiled. "Alright, then it's settled, (Y/N)?" You snapped out of your thoughts when you heard your name. "Yes?" Vander walked over from his seat to you.

Would you help us make our dream of Zaun a reality? We want Zaun to be independent from Piltover." Vander puts his hand in front of you to shake on the deal. You smile a bright smile at them and shake Vander's hand. "Of course, it would be my honor. What do you guys need?" You let go of his hand. He speaks, "Well, we have a bar that we're fixing up. We want to start something there first to create a community." You smile. "Don't worry, I've got it covered. If you need anything else, make a list, and I'll get it. Meet me at the elevator tomorrow at noon. I already have some stuff in mind that you need, so don't be late." You start to walk out of the room when you hear Silco speak. "Why does Piltover not want you down here?" You turn to look at him. "Well, Peacock, I am the councilor's daughter. They don't want me here because I can see the truth of what they're doing down here."

Silco gets a light dusting of red on his cheeks because of the nickname you gave him. He becomes quiet for a second, then says, "I'll make a list for you. I'll give it to you when we meet at the elevator."

alright then ill see you two tomorrow you went out the door closing it behind you leaving the two alone Vander had a smirk on his face and started to teasing his brother you like her Silco begame red in the face agian out of embarrassment i do not and for the record we just met he started to stand up and leave now lets go and lets go home please Vander smiled alright lets go thay both walk to the exit of the mines Vander still teasing his brother

It is early in the morning when you get up. You go to the market to get some stuff for the boys. You buy Silco two new notebooks and pens, and for Vander, you buy some expensive alcohol that he can eventually use in the bar. You even get a toolkit that they might need for the bar. When you were finally done gathering all the stuff, you went to the border. You always go to the side of the bridge and climb up the side to get past the goons. It was a bit harder with all the stuff in the back, but you managed to get to the other side. When you got closer to the elevator, some goons were way too close, so you had to use one of your smoke bombs again. You threw it and made a run for the elevator again. As usual, you made it. When the elevator went down, you sat on one of the benches near the elevator, waiting for Silco and Vander.

After waiting for a while, you began to believe that they had ditched you. When you grew tired of waiting, you stood up when you saw them walking towards you. You sighed in relief, happy to see them. You approached the two of them, stopping in front of them. You smiled. "Well, good afternoon, you two. I was beginning to think you had ditched me." Vander chuckled. "Yeah, sorry about that. We encountered some trouble on the way here." Silco snorted. "Well, you encountered the trouble I didn't, so technically, we're late because of you, not me."

You chuckle lightly at their antics. Interrupting them, you say, "You know I love your banter, but I would love to see the bar. I've got all the stuff I thought you might need." They both stop, and Vander says, "Sure, follow us." The three of you start walking to the bar, you walking beside Silco. There is a nice, quiet silence between the three of you. After a while of walking, you all arrive and get inside the building. It's fairly big on the inside, and most of the stuff is fixed. The only things missing are some bar supplies, chairs, tables, and bar stools. You guys have already done an amazing job to the place. You put your bag on the bar when Silco walked over. "Yeah, well, this is the rest we need to finish it."

Silco gave you a list of the things needed, and you were right about them on behalf of one, a neon sign. So, good news and bad news, so which one would you like to hear first? Vander and Silco looked at each other and said at the same time, "Bad."

Alright, so all this stuff needs to be carried over the bridge. Not a big problem because I'll order it for you guys, but I can't sign off on it; I'll get caught. Someone else needs to do it. The good news is I can get all this stuff and even more. I guess the neon sign needs to be customized? Silco nodded. The only thing is we don't have a name yet. You were deep in thought. Alright, does anyone have a pen and paper? Silco grabbed some for you and gave it to you. You drew the name and logo of the place: a pint in the middle with a drop above it, at the side the "on" top last, and on the right side, a drop. You smiled and said, "How about this?" as you showed it to them.

Vander smiled. "This is amazing. I love it. I couldn't think of a better name." Silco nodded, agreeing with him. "Alright, awesome. Now, last but not least, first, for Vander, I got you some expensive liquor to sell and a toolbox to fix things." You unpacked everything and gave it to Vander. Vander said, "Thank you, this will help a lot."

"And last but not least, for Silco, I got you two notebooks and pens so you won't have to use loose paper anymore." You smiled, and a small smile formed on his lips as he said, "Thank you, I'll make great use of them." You chuckled lightly. "Now, for the stuff, whose name can I put on the order so that they can pick it up and sign for it?" Vander walked forward a bit. "You can put my name on it."

Alright, awesome. I'll get this started right away. As you went to walk out, Silco asked, "You're leaving already?" You turned and looked at them. "I mean, I thought I'm only just a business partner, so the faster I did things, the better." Vander smiled. "You are not just a business partner." He walked over to you and placed a hand on your shoulder. "You're our friend who wants to help make this thing work."

You look on in shock that they consider you a friend. You never could make friends in Piltover; they all thought you were a weirdo. "I'm your friend," you say in disbelief. Silco walked over as well, saying, "What? Never had friends before?" "No, I haven't had them until now." You gave a smile that they smiled back at you. The rest of the day was just fun and exploring Zaun with them, and getting to know them more. This was the start of an amazing friendship.
