Chapter 52

From LKT,

Lauren Kutterfly is going to write her sweat book, Ruling 8 and 1/2, soon. More information while be posted later. Thank you for supporting LKT.

Te note below is written by Lauren Kutterfly:

Hey readers! I sense the end of A Forbidden Family drawing closer and closer. Do you as well? And I promised a ton of you that there'll be action. I'm not breaking that promise no matter how small it is.

And apparently I already got two shattered thermometers so here's your new ones(you know who you are). *hands out thermometers*

The next, maybe 3-4, chapters will be really fluffy. And then the grand finale(apparently more than 3 chapters... up to 5-6 chapters) will come. Be looking for it!

And I know that the romance part for Karen and Noah is really short, but don't worry. At least they'll have each other in the end(heheh... DEATH! MAY THE TEARS BEGIN! JK. Who fell for it? Nah, JK JK. DEATH! MUST PUT MY SADISTIC POWERS INTO THIS BOOK! JK. I'm putting my beautiful death powers into this book).

And yeah. Prepare some tissues for the end. That's all I have to say. Enjoy the new chapter! X3

And this will be the last random update I'm doing.

Chapter 52

I groaned and shifted in my bed, but stopped when I felt someone's arm around my waist.

My eyes shot open and I turned to look who was beside me. My eyes widened.

"Noah?!" I shrieked and bolted up in my bed. Noah moaned and rubbed his eyes, sitting up as well.

"Karen...?" he said, groggily.

"What are you doing in my-," I stopped halfway in my sentence.

Memories began to flood back through my mind about what happened last night.

"I love you."

Those words made my eyes widen more as I finally remembered last nights events.

Noah loves me. He truly for sure loves me and me alone.

"Karen?" Noah asked again, now worried that I wasn't replying back. "Is something wrong?"

I quickly shook my head

"No, no! It's nothing. It's just... do you really mean what you said last night...?" I said quietly as I stared into his pale blue eyes.

Noah smiled and pulled me into a hug.

"Of course I do," he promised me. "Why would I lie about something like that?"

I giggled and hugged him back.

"I dunno," I said. "It just feels like all a dream."

Noah chuckled.

"And when you said 'yes', I thought for sure that I had died as went to Heaven," Noah said.

We remained sitting in my bed with our arms around each other, until I suddenly remember that we still had to head down to breakfast before someone comes up here and finds us together in bed and gets the wrong idea.

---------------------------------------------

My morning after breakfast would of been totally great if it wasn't for my mom who wouldn't stop nagging me when I told her about me and Noah.

She was so interested in our love life that she even started to plan the wedding.

I don't know about her, but that's skipping far too many steps.

But at least Noah didn't seem to mind. He just thought that it was cute how my mom was fangirling over us.

But he had a rethinking session when his mom joined my mom in the journey to make our lives miserable(or desirable in my mom's opinion).

Levi reluctantly agreed to our relationship and Erwin didn't even think twice about joining our mom's in all their mentalness.

Our crazy morning passed by in a blur of people congratulating us and wishing us luck.

Noah never left my side the entire time. He always seem to be near me, never more than three feet away.

Even so, I enjoyed every second of his presence. It felt warm and safe.

"Hey, Karen?" Noah asked, later into the afternoon, as we were walking down the hall together.

"Yeah?" I answered back.

"Can I show you something else that's cool?" he asked and a slight dust of pink appeared on his cheeks.

"The chimney?" I joked. He shook his head.

"No, something even better," he said with a smile.

"Sure," I said.

Noah let out a sigh of relief and took my hands, leading me to outside to a place I've never been to before.

Noah took me to a little area surrounded by flowers of red and yellow.

It wasn't exactly a garden, but was close to one.

"Wow," I breathed and slowly walked around, inspecting everything. "It's so beautiful here."

Noah blushed and explained,"I, uh, sort of enjoy gardening. My father allowed me a little patch of land to plant some flowers." His blush deepened.

I giggled. The thought of Noah liking gardening was highly impossible, but you know what? If something as crazy as being an Animato can be created, I'm pretty sure that a boy who enjoys gardening is as well.

"Watch this." Noah said and snapped his fingers.

Not a second later, a family of white doves soared into the air, flying towards the sun.

I gasped and steppe back a little, taken aback by the sight.

I felt like I was the one who had died and gone to Heaven. The white doves feathers danced in the sky, floating slowly down to Earth.

"Woah!" I said, aghast. Noah laughed at my reaction and circled his arms around me.

"I'm glad you liked it," he said, grinning. "The white doves apparently really like my little garden so they nested here."

I watched as a single feather fall out ofThe sky and land in my hands.

I picked it up from my palms and held it up to the light.

The sun gleamed on it, making it glitter with light.

The feather from the wing of a dove... The wing of the dove whom carried freedom and happiness.

I smiled.

"Yeah," I agreed. "I really loved it."
