Chapter 46

Noah was released 2 days after I went to see him. During that time, I visited him every time I have free time to check to make sure that he was still breathing and alive.

He just came out of the hospital and was walking out the door to his room when I tackled him to the floor.

We went down together in a heap of arms and legs. I was crying and sobbing into him. Noah just chuckled and hugged me back, holding me close.

"It's alright," Noah whispered into my hair. "It's alright. I'm here, everything's going to be alright."

Noah apparently gained his father's god blessed ability of manipulating people to do what he wants, but I don't care about that.

i wanted to believe his words. I wanted to believe that everything will be alright.

Yesterday, we were walking a nightmare that never seemed to end. But today, we're walking a dream, hand in hand, together in a meadow towards the rising sunset in front of us.

"Okay, so, we're going to be practicing 'Equipping' today," Noah announced.

Noah decided that it was a good idea for both of us to train together from now on so we both improve faster than before.

"Got it," I said. "But how excatly do we do that?"

"It's quite simple actually," Noah said. "You just do what you did for summoning your sword. Extend out your hand, but this time yell 'Equip!'."

I extended out my hand as he instructed.

"Like this?" I gestured with my other hand at my extended out hand. Noah nodded.

"Yup. Now, let's say 'Equip together," Noah said as he extended out his own hand. "Oh three."

I took a deep breath and nodded.

"On three," i agreed.

"One... two..." Noah began the count down, and yelled out the last word. "THREE!"

"Equip!" we both yelled at the same time.

A black cicle appeared below me and rose up, caging me in a black cylinder. Keeping my hand out stretched, I looked over at Noah and saw that he was experiencing something similiar like me, except his cylinder was blue.

I looked down at my own body and saw a black line snake its way up my body. I closed my eyes and held my breath, waiting for the moment to be over.

Slowly, the light and roaring of a million wiinds died down, leaving silence suspended in the air.

I cracked open my eyes and looked around. Nothing had changed except I felt that something on my body had chanded.

I looked down and saw that I was no longer wearing the Survey Corps uniform. Instead, I had on a black and white dress with a splatter of red in there.

I lifted up my hand to touch my hair and realized that I no longer had that ponytail I always wear. Now, my hair was tied up in two hoops, one bigger than the other, on the side of my head.

"Wow, you look amazing," Noah breathed from my right.

I whipped my head to face him and saw that he had changed too. He also no longer wore the military attire, but now he had on a blue kngiht jacket with dark blue slacks and his hands were covered in white gloves.

"Oh my gods..." I said, staring at him. Noah smiled.

"There's even a cooler feature to being an Animato," he grinned. I looked at him confused.

"And what's that?' I asked.

Without saying a word, Noah tackled me to the ground and straddled me down.

Holding up both of his hands, and wiggling all ten fingers, he asked,"So, from a scale 1-10, ten being the most, how ticklish are you?"

I gulped and squeaked,"A... two...?"

Noah grinned on last mischeivious smile before he began to tickle the living daylights out of me.

"N-NO! Stop! Please!" I shrieked through my giggles.

"Well, would you like to change your number now?" Noah asked and continued to tickle me to no end.

"Y-Yes! A 10! No, a 11! More than that! Just please! Stop!" I was practically yelling by now.

Noah laughed and stopped, rolling off of me.

He laid down by my side and took my hands in mine.

"Hey, Karen?' he whispered softly, a gentle smile on his face.

"Y-Yeah?" I stuttered, slightly blushing.

"Let's live for now," Noah whispered. "And let the future take us to tomorrow."

I smiled.

"Yeah, ;et's," I agreed.

If we live now, the future will live for us.
