Chapter 13
"Levi is known for his aggregated characteristic. If you aren't worth anything to him, he will not respect you in anyway." -AOT source
I sighed. So, if I'm worth trash to my dad, he'll never be nice to me. I'm REALLY starting to like him.
I leaned back on my pillows and gazed out the window at the full moon. Tiny speckles of stars twinkled next to the bright moon.
I wonder... I thought in my head as I shut my phone off. What did Erwin do to make my mom so upset?
As I sat there staring out the window, a light knock emerged from my door.
"Come in," I said without turning to face whoever entered.
"Um, Milady," a squeaky voice said. "M-Master Levi w-wish to see y-you..." I turned to see Demy standing by my the door way shaking from head to toe.
"Tell him I'll be there in just a sec," I told her. Demy nodded and scampered off.
I groaned loudly and slid of my bed. I went over to my wardrobe and pulled out a navy blue striped T-Shirt. I slipped it on over my white tink top.
"Well," I said as bravely as I could manage. "Time ta go see maw Dad! Yay!" I know I sound ridiculous, but I needed all the strength and energy right now to survive a meeting with Levi.
I gulped and headed to my father's office.
---------------------------------------------
I knocked on Levi's door.
"State your name and business," my father's voice boomed from inside.
"K-Karen Acker-," I began, but didn't get to finish.
"Enter please," my dad said. I gulped and opened the door.
Levi was standing by his window looking out.
"So," he said all formal like. "Are you wondering why I asked you to come tonight, you brat?" I shook my head.
"No, Father," I replied. I looked around his office, but there wasn't much to see. His place was spot less. I bet that if you were to swipe a finger across his desk, not one hair that showed the existence of a dust bunny will emerge. I swallowed hard. I don't think that telling him that I'm not a neat freak is a good idea.
"You're like your mother, you know," Levi sighed. I stared at the back of his head.
"Huh?" I asked, dumbly.
I couldn't see his face, but I knew he rolled his eyes.
"Your mother is always carefree, never knowing what is danger and who is the enemy. You're like a copy of her, just more annoying," he told me and turned around.
"Is that a good thing?" I asked quietly.
Levi's eyes suddenly became sad as he said, "That will have to depend on you. I can tell that Caitlyn raised you correctly. All you have to do is find your own power and use it."
"What power?!" I pushed him. "I'm really confused right now. Why was I raise in the real world?! Why wasn't I raised here?!"
Levi clenched his fists and I cowered back. "You were raised in the real world because people like you are dangerous here. You can already tell, I presume. If you were to live here, you would be dead by now. You aren't a normal human Karen."
I felt something start to heat up in my heart. "Then who am I?!" I screamed. "Stop holding secrets behind my back! This whole life I've been living through lies from you and Mom. Tell me the truth now. You at least owe me that much!"
Something in Levi's eyes changed. I couldn't tell though. It was night time.
"You are..." He paused.
"What?" I whispered. "What am I?"
"You are a Animato, one who can travel freely from the real world to the anime world. One who can create dimensions and rip through time," He said, his voice barely above a whisper.
