Hope
The final part of the ceremony was thankfully short since Bock had way less titles than me. The ending consisted of the guy presenting Bock and I with the added title. Protector of Bock, son of Thophes for me and Protected by Perseus Jackson, son of Poseidon and Hestia, etc. for Bock.
Post the ceremony, I was eating at the feast provided for the celebration in different clothing so I could eat at the feast with out being afraid of getting any food on my ceremonial clothes. What can I say? I like to eat and when I eat, I wolf it down with out a care about making a mess. Let's just say that that was a glorious day for me and my stomach and I was ready to take on the world.
Little did I know that I was literally going to have to do just that on Rocthag.
Scratch that last note guys, this chapter is real chapter. Not a filler.

I panted as I hid in my fox hole, nervously waiting for my chasers to run past. My heart was beating fast and I was dripping sweat. Despite it being night time, it was hot, though that may be because of all my running around.
As quietly as I could, I turned to look behind me, making sure I was in the right fox hole. The small tunnel went on deeper in ground, way off, I saw that the walls started to glow a weird silver.
Definitely the right one.
But until my chasers run past, I can't go deeper. That way, if they catch me, I do not lead them to head quarters.
"Faster, Oliver," a growl came from the left and a little more up than my level, "he's just up ahead!"
"Wait!" A different voice said, "I smell something. He's close."
I did all in my power to refrain from holding my breath. I knew that once I could not hold it anymore that I would breathe it out and it would make noise and then they would know where I was.
The group looking for me came to a skidding stop. I heard some sniffing with my recently enhanced hearing and I did my best to hold still. "Nah, it's faint," the first voice said, "He's moved on."
I resisted the urge to breath a sigh of relief.
"Let's go," a third, gruff voice said.
There was a sudden pounding of feet as the group took off to the right.
I waited a full ten minutes after they left before turning completely around and crawling down the tunnel until I reached the glowing walls. By then the floor dropped suddenly and I could stand.
The planet I am on right now is way different from my last planet. Before I get to the inhabitants- who are nothing but surprising- I'll tell you of the climate. Where as Rocthag was a complete rock planet that some how got breathable air from geysers in the ground, the Planet of the Moon was a forest planet. A large portion of it is land and the water you do come across is deep enough to house a whale comfortably, even the rivers.
The nights are longer than any other planet I've been to, including Earth and its long winters in Antarctica. The sun only comes out for a few hours a year. I'm told that is the mating season. I have not gone through it just yet, I only arrived a few months ago. The moon is out the longest and the stars along with it. The seasons, surprisingly, are not thrown off by this, summer is still summer and winter is still winter. The planet just seems to be in a forever state of night.
My time on this planet will definitely be short lived. Not only because of the tensions between the pack and I but also because of the pull to Pomeacus. It was steadily growing every day. I'll be honest though, I do not appreciate the people I am living with at the moment. They seem to have a very specific idea for a warrior and let me just say, I am not impressed.
They were arrogant peacocks, much like the Ares campers back home and like Calem Peterson albeit slightly worse. I knew I had to humble them somehow other than taking over as Alpha. I'm immortal and Hades knows I'm not going to stay here for that long- by my standards anyways.
Only one problem: I've only been a wolf for a couple of months and I have not gotten the hang of it yet and the Alpha male is about as paranoid and power hoarding as Zeus was. Or at least I think he is.
In case you have not figured it out, the planet I found myself on is a werewolf planet.
As I stepped out into the clearing, in the middle of the pack, I calmly put on my impassive face, not allowing the dominant males to see any reaction. I was in my human form, as well as the others.
"Where have you been, Luna?" One of them sneered. The pack has taken to calling me a title that has not been given to anyone in their history. "Have you been stumbling around the woods like a new born pup?"
A werewolf pack is run much the same as a normal wolf pack. There is the Alpha male and female, the Beta male then the majority of the adult pack also known as the dominant males. This consisted of younger wolves but more aggressive wolves. Then the pups and the juveniles and lastly, the scapegoat, often referred to as the Omega. All in all, there was generally ten to fifteen wolves in a pack. The social status the pack has given me as an unofficial title is Luna. This would be parallel to what Mother Teresa was on Rocthag. A person in the pack that has strange powers that no one can figure out but they still respect them. Or should I say fear. I'm not sure if they respect me or fear me. Probably neither considering the comment from Fang.
When they found me in the woods a few months ago, I was in my wolf form for the first time. Obviously I was a little clumsy.
"The Moonstone scouts passed by not ten minutes ago," was all I said in response as I went to my spot.
Fang, the wolf that spoke earlier cursed in the moon language and ran off to tell the Beta.
Another werewolf narrowed his eyes at me. "How do we know you did not lead them here?" He asked suspiciously.
Mentally, I stood a little taller under his 'frightening' gaze and sent him a worse glare and made him cower back in fear.
In reality, I gave him an unblinking stare and said, "I didn't." Which I think was far more unnerving for poor Joseph.
The tunnel I went through went through a small mountain and into a valley. This is where the pack lives and grows. Only pack members know where it is. Scouts travel outside the valley and into their territory outside to guard and watch for trespassers or people looking for a pack.
I was on my own for two days before this pack, the River-moon pack found me. The third day was the full moon. That is the day where the moon somehow forces their transformation into a wolf. That was how I figured out my power for this planet.
The valley had a river that ran clear through the middle of it and to a waterfall in the west. Rocks and ridges jutted up in random places, creating small dens for the families within this large family.
My spot was the highest spot in the valley. Somewhere no one wanted to go and where the wolves in the pack tried to warn me about. They quickly stopped when they saw me easily hop from rock to rock and settle down on the landing on the mountain above the tunnel entrance. This way, I could see everything and watch carefully, guarding the pack.
I kept my eye on Fang as he went to tell Zane, the Beta about the trespassers. He raced to the east, to the pack house with the offices for the Alpha male and female and Beta. In my entire month in the pack, I have only ever seen the Beta and flashes of the Alpha through the windows. The Alpha female was the one that spent most of her time with the members of the pack. I have not met her either, whenever she was walking around, I conveniently was in my spot.
Fang was running in direction of the offices and was met with Zane when he knocked on the door. Frantic moving of the hands and multiple gestures to me was exchanged and Zane and Fang both left to gather a group to scout and scare the trespassing wolves. They split up; Fang went to the group of other wolves and Zane went in my direction.
Sighing, I chose not to move, pretending I had not seen him.
Zane came up as far as he dared, which fortunately for him, was within speaking distance. "Luna Fire Lord!" He shouted, "which way did they go?"
I turned my head down to look at him. "East," was all I said.
"Perhaps you could lead us?" Zane asked not so subtly. He had been trying to get me to socialize with those in the pack for the entirety of the month I've been here
I thought about it. Fang and the others would not like taking orders from me. Zane may have to step in to get people to listen and then I would not be much of a leader. However, I have been told I have a very compelling commander's voice and no one even thinks to question my orders when I go into commando mode.
The only problem with that is that people will start wanting me to take charge of the pack. Which, I'm not ready for, at all. I just got out of a position like that. I came here to get away from that stuff. Rocthag was enough for me.
I don't think I'd be able to go through another skirmish or war in that position. As general or even commander.
The screams for help and agony were deafening, even in my giant form and I could not do anything to help. So many were lost and even Bock's father, causing the poor boy to take charge sooner than planned. I had found myself on the battle field after all was said and done, staring out at all the devastation, mourning for Thophes' death and the fact that Bock had to take upon him the mantle of leadership prematurely.
"Why could I not have just killed them when I had the chance?" I muttered.
"Because you are not that type of person, Perseus," Bock said, coming up behind me. "You give people chances to change. It is not your fault they did not take it."
"But it is," I muttered, "I knew they were too far gone, I had just hoped that-"
"Perseus," Bock said, "they made their choice and you made yours. You hoped. You chose to be a good person and give people the hope they needed for them to get out of the mess they made. It is not your fault."
I said nothing as I stared at the knife in my hands. Annabeth's knife. The words of the old prophesy came back to me, cursed blade shall reap. This time it was by my hand. This time, Annabeth will not live to destroy another person's life. She was the one to kill Thophes. She was the one to wreck havoc on the innocent people of the Malachite clan. To kill hundreds of lives and it was me that ended it. As usual.
Annabeth and Calem had escaped from their cells somehow, killing the guards in cold blood. In some shape or form, they got to the Bloodstoneians clan to go with them and lead them to my clan. The repercussions of that was the deaths of hundreds-thousands of rock giants on both sides of the war.
I had taken charge since Thophes had seen my skills on more than one occasion with my sword. The war was devastating. Annabeth and Calem found me on the final battle field, ready to end the fight. Yet they were not prepared for my improvements I had gained from my previous planets.
They died and now I held Annabeth's knife in my hand, wondering what to do with it. It was a cursed blade. Any demigod who used it would meet a fate no one could imagine and it would have untold consequences.
Then it hit me. Any demigod.
Turning to Bock, I handed him the knife.
"Bock, I would like you to have this," I said, "None of my kind can use it with out something horrifying happening. If you use it, it will give hope to at least me. Hope that not everything used for evil is evil. Give it a new purpose."
Bock accepted the knife, vowing to do exactly as I asked and he did. The rest of his reign was ruled peacefully and the knife only used to take out stragglers from the war.
I left three days after Bock died of old age, when his daughter, Esperanza, took over and after the traditional mourning period was over.
You know, I always thought Esperanza's name was fitting, since-
"Luna Fire Lord!" A voice broke me out of my thoughts as I realized I had not answered Zane's question and he had probably been calling my name for a while.
"Very well," I sighed, slowly getting up, "I will lead you but you all must heed my every order without question." There it is, my commander voice. I could feel the power it gave me.
I didn't like it.
"Of course, Luna Fire Lord," Zane said, bowing his head. The status of 'Luna' is a difficult one to explain. It is not quite an Alpha male but it over powers both the Alpha female and the Beta. Sometimes I can even overpower the Alpha but I can always over power the Beta.
I started down after Zane, allowing him time to warn the group before leading the way silently out of the valley and through the tunnels.
We exited the tunnels as silently as we could, with me being completely silent. The others followed, the soft pads of their paws in wolf form making soft noises. My ears twitched as I paused, as I was now in wolf form as well. "You guys are too loud," I muttered.
"What?" Fang asked angrily. His hackles raised and he did a slow growl that he must have thought was quiet but threatening. He obviously was not happy when he learned that he would have to be taking orders from me for a while.
I kept walking, regretting my comment but I knew that if I did not answer, the aggressive male would get louder.
"You are all too loud to go scouting through the forest, how did I let you sneak up on me?" When they found me, I was too occupied with my new form to notice that I was being surrounded.
"I'll have you know that we are the best scouts in the pack because of our silent movement," Fang retorted.
I snorted. "Stop and listen," I told them. They did as I said and I continued walking after the trespassers. I made no noise thanks to the Golden Ninjas. Even in wolf form, I could still do it.
"Come on, you need me to track down the trespassers, don't you?" I called after I had gone some distance while they started after me in awe. "How can you do that if you lose me?"
They snapped out of their daze and quickly rushed after me.
"How did you do that?" Eruben asked, a female wolf that must have been good if Zane asked her to come with. She was more of a peace keeper between Fang and I. We were known to attack each other-well, more like Fang attacks me but that is not the point.
"Centuries of training," I answered.
No one said anything else as my ears twitched again, this time with the new of footsteps from the trespassers. It seems they have given up trying to follow me to our head quarters.
"What do you mean by-" Eruben started.
"They are coming," I said, cutting her off.
In the next second, five wolves burst into view. However, before any of us could do anything, one of them, a smaller one, ran into a tree.
We all stood in a stunned silence as the smaller wolf righted himself and refocused.
"Hello agin, Max," I said to the leading wolf. "Dylan, Randi, Steven, Oliver," I nodded to each wolf in greeting.
"Well, hello," Max said, "did you go get help? Didn't think you could take us?"
"I was actually going to leave you to them but I am glad I came now," I said, glancing at the others. "It is almost two to one."
"Excuse me?" Eruben exclaimed. There were lines you don't cross with her.
I glanced back at her. "Except for her," I said, "she is actually somewhat formidable."
"What?" She shrieked.
Max laughed. "A girl?" He asked.
I shrugged. "She would not have been asked to come had she or been able to take care of her self."
I heard a snort and mentally smirked. She must have felt slightly appeased by that.
"What are you doing here?" Zane demanded, stepping forward. "You are in River-moon territory."
"We were tracking an annoyingly elusive buck," Max said smoothly, giving my a look. "We lost track of where we were."
I scoffed openly, obviously not believing a word he said as Oliver, the small wolf that crashed into a tree, spoke up. "We were?" He asked, confused. "I thought we were trying to catch-"
A roan colored wolf growled nad tackled poor Oliver, effectively shutting him up.
"Randi, get off him, Oliver, shut up," Max said as if bored. "Anyways, we will bother you no more. Fare well Luna Fire Lord, Beta Zane.
As they left, Dylan, a solid black wolf, moseyed by Eruben. "We'll see each other soon, Eruben," he whispered huskily. "Mating season is coming."
Eruben backed away form him, snorting in disgust. "No, you most definitely won't be seeing me," she said, shuffling unconsciously towards me.
I eyed her in confusion. Why did she go towards me? Normally if threatened, you would go to someone you are familiar with and Zane was closer too. Yet she came closer to me for comfort.
Shaking it off, I noticed Eruben's fur was standing on end and Zane was too occupied in watching the other four of the Moonstone pack. Fang was having a stare off with Max, being a jerk face.
Mentally shrugging, I stepped forward, in between Dylan and Eruben. "Leave her alone," I growled deeply, calling the attention of everyone in the area.
Dylan was visibly shook. Nevertheless, her puffed up his chest and looked me in the eye. "Or?" He challenged, "have you claimed her as yours already?"
"No," I answered, tonelessly, "she is in my pack. I am Luna, it is my job to protect my pack if either the Alpha or Beta are otherwise occupied."
"Are you taking the Beta's job then?" Max called with a sly look in Zane's direction.
I turned an expressionless stare onto him. "Watch yourself, Max," I said, "you tread dangerous waters. I am to protect the pack as a whole as well as individuals. I know things about a person just by looking at them."
"I don't believe you," Randi spoke up.
I looked at Randi, noticing his restlessness and his shifting eyes. His tails has not stopped whacking the small bush next to him and one of his paws kept lifting and coming back down to the same spot.
"Randi, the escape spots to your right and in front of you are blocked, but your left and behind you are wide open but for that tree a few feet to the left. Watch for that as you go out," I then softened my stare, "but we will not be attacking as long as you do not attack first." Silence met my statement before I added, "and stop walking though the mud pits and swamps. It is the reason why your fur is suffering."
"Do me!" Oliver exclaimed, jumping a bit. His jumping caused him to accidentally stick his foot in a small hole in the ground.
I sighed and mentally rolled my eyes. "Oliver, that cut under your paw needs to get looked at," I said, "You will be falling over everything if you don't and it might be infected."
🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺
Back at the valley, the Alpha female, Alpha Diona was gathering the pack together. An unfamiliar wolf stood on a large rock that jutted out of the ground. He was obviously the main focus of the meeting and judging from the awed looks from the rest of the pack, this wolf is the Alpha male, Alpha Coleson.
He and his mate sported a symbol of the pack on their left shoulder, its silver markings proudly displayed for all to see against their black fur. Everyone else had the mark on their lower back except for Zane. He had it on his right shoulder.
Once you are accepted into a pack, you somehow by the light of the moon, gain the symbol of the pack. The general symbol was a wolf in a concaving pentagon with dots all the way around it. Where the wolf's head turned to meet its tail, symbols were placed to show who you are. Mine had a symbol of Hestia and Posiedon, showing that I was a son of the goddesss of the hearth and the god of the sea. I chose the see it as symbols of unpredictability for the sea and hope for the hearth.
After the pack had been gathered, the Alpha began to speak.
"Tomorrow is the start of the mating season," he began, staring down at all the wolves. "Tonight we run to the traditional meeting area, we will be one of many arriving, do try to keep any animosities between you and any in another pack to yourself. However, if they happen to attack you for some reason, I expect you to finish the fight in your favor."
That sounds a lot like what Dad would tell me.
Alpha Coleson continued talking about the details, something I'm sure everyone already knew so I turned to the werewolf to my right. "What does he mean by traditional meeting area?" I asked Rolf. I thought we would just run through the woods and if we did not happen to meet our mates then that is what would happen.
"The meeting area is a place where all packs in the area meet to find their mates," Rolf answered, "in the hours where the sun is up, we go out and see if our mates are in the vicinity. Normally they are but on the occasion that they are not, then when the moon comes back, we go down to the moon pool in the mountain nearby and receive information on how to find them."
I nodded in understanding, turning back. To Alpha Coleson as he said, "Now go pack, we have a long night ahead of us."
I did not have much to pack so I stood awkwardly by the tunnel entrance, waiting for everyone to be ready.
Alpha Coleson and Diona were the first to come back, a backpack on each of their backs and holding each other's hands.
"Do you not need to pack?" Alpha Diona asked, tilting her head in confusion as she saw no bag anywhere near me.
"I have very little to pack, Alpha," I answered, bowing in her direction.
She nodded in understanding. "What is your name?" She asked, "I do not think we have met."
She knows my name from the other members in the pack but it is polite to ask and it creates bonds faster. She's a smart one.
"Luna Fire Lord," I answered, bowing yet again, "We have not met, I do not accociate myself with the pack very much."
"Do you think yourself above them?" Alpha Coleson assumed as he stood straighter and I wanted to laugh.
Above them? Not quite. While I am older, they know things I do not as my earlier conversation with Rolf proved. That is why I am here, to learn new things of the universe.
"More like so I do not have the urge to attack them to stop their arrogant shows," I said flatly.
"They are the best in our pack, surly they have reason to show off a little?" Diona asked with an amused smile.
I very nearly rolled my eyes. Please. Even the five year old Aphrodite kid back home could beat them. In comparison to me...well, it's ridiculous. "Alpha Diona, I do not mean to brag but I could very easily take on Zane and Fang at once and win."
Her disbelieving stare was enough for me to turn an appraising eye onto Alpha Coleson.
"Perhaps Alpha Coleson would not mind a quick spar before we leave?" I suggested.
"Luna Fire Lord, are you sure?" Alpha Diona asked hurriedly, she must have heard the seriousness in my voice.
"Positive," I answered, "how else can I show you the truth? You obviously do not believe me and you would not even more if I told you that I have been training for centuries."
"What?" She asked, too stunned to say anything else as Alpha Coleson accepted my challenge with a curt nod.
We moved to a more open space, the Alpha disguarding his bag in preparation for the fight.
Once ready, I attacked, knowing Alpha Coleson will be expecting me to wait and analyze him first. Like he would be doing. What he did not know what that I had already done that. I leapt for his throat, jumping into wolf form. Alpha Coleson was almost too slow, he ducked to the ground just as I came into the area his head was occupying not two seconds before. Still in human form, he spun around to keep his eye on me.
I held still, my black fur only marred from my scars, my pack symbol ad the grey streak I had received from holding the sky on Earth. Amazing how all of that followed me form one form to the next.
Alpha Coleson was more wary now, watching me carefully.
I charged again, but this time, changing into my human form, my black clothing melding swiftly from my fur. My fists connected with his jaw as he expected a wolf to attack so he was thrown back a few steps.
He was swift to respond with a jab at my midsection. I allowed him to make a connection with my rock-hard abdomen and I swept my leg under him, causing him to trip since he was thrown off from his fist hitting a wall.
Alpha Coleson grunted as his face hit the ground, his nose probably getting broken judging from the force I had put into my kick.
"Coleson!" Alpha Diona exclaimed in shock, looking from me to her mate, unable to believe what just happened.
I put up my hands, seeing the other pack members starting to come. "I know what happens when I beat you Alpha," I said before he decided to take offense, "I have no wish to become Alpha so could we just pretend this never happened while keeping in mind that I could have easily beat you?"
He hesitated but after a look from his mate, he agreed. We shook hands just as Zane, Rolf, Fang and the others showed up.
🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺
At the meeting area, the Moonstone pack was wisely staying far away form the River-moon pack. Even with Max, Randi, Dylan and Steven, they were far fewer in number than the River-moon pack.
The last pack, the Bloodmoon pack, arrived just as the first rays of the sun showed over the tree tops.
Immediately, all the werewolves in all packs scattered, searching for their mate.
Me?
I stayed where I was. I learned a long time ago that it is easier for those looking for you to find you if you stay put.
So I stayed seated on the cool grass, enjoying the weather for as long as it was nice. I knew the sun will heat it up sooner or later.
Eventually, I started to watch the members of my pack. Eruben was running around, avoiding Dylan as much as possible, who seemed determined to ignore the wolf running after him and go after Eruben. Avoiding the large wolf and trying to find her mate at the same time in such a small space did not seem to work and Eruben ended up just doing all she could to get away from him.
I growled deeply and ran off after the wolf named Dylan. I pulled up to the smaller wolf following him and shared a look. She looked almost pained.
My heart went out to her. Her mate did not seem to want her and that brought about a pain she had never felt before. I remember the pain I went through when Annabeth, in a sense, rejected me. The pain probably hindered her chase. She could very probably easily overtake him, she seemed built for running.
"What's your name?" I asked gruffly over the sounds of wolfs trying to find their mates or those who had already found them.
"Alexia," she answered. She sounded as if she was about to sob.
"It will be alright, Alexia," I said, "Dylan will receive a beating for running after one of my pack members and not his mate but it will be alright."
Alexia looked confused. "She is not your mate?" She asked.
"No, I have yet to find mine," I told her indifferently but inside, I was starting to worry. I had not gone very far from where I had decided to stay put. She should have found me by now; I could see a lot of couples rubbing their heads below each others.
Suddenly, I put on a burst of speed, jumping as I came up to Dylan and landed on him, sending him to the ground almost instantly.
I put my mouth next to his ear and said, "Your mate seems to be wondering what you are doing." He growled and started to struggle. "I would stop chasing Eruben and start going after your actual mate," I continued, "Otherwise you will have to deal with a very angry mate of hers."
"I am her mate," I heard him say.
"What?" Alexia asked, I could see tears starting to form, which was strange, I did not think that wolves could cry. "But you are mine."
"No," Dylan said, "I do not know what you are talking about."
"You are a sick person," Eruben walked up with a large grey wolf next to her. "Do you not see that you are mates? Stop ignoring it and go to her!"
I got off of him and waited to see what he would do but was ready for what he might do.
Dylan started to go to Eruben, completely ignoring Alexia as if she were not there. "Darling, you are right, come, my mate, let us-"
A very deep growl cut him off. "Continue that sentence, I dare you," Eruben's mate said.
Alexia started to full on sob and I immediately went to her, wrapping my arms around her in comfort.
Dylan narrowed his eyes at Eruben's mate and started walking forwards, ever so carefully.
Suddenly, Alexia broke away from me, screaming. "I Alexia of the Bloodstone pack, do reject thee, Dylan of the Moonstone pack!" She said, drawing the attention of most here.
Dylan let out a yelp of pain, falling on the ground, feeling some of what Alexia was feeling as he continued to ignore her. Now they were unmated. The moon pool will have to deal with them in a few hours when the moon came back up. In the meantime, all they could do was wait. In Dylan's case, get beat up by Eruben's mate.
"Who are you?" I heard a voice much in the style of Drew's from the Aphrodite cabin.
"Hades, I am not that kind of guy!" I exclaimed, turning around to keep my eye on the pure white wolf behind me. She was unmated as of yet but seemed intent on having as much 'fun' as she could before her mate found her.
"Oh, don't lie, sweetheart," she said in a luring voice, "you know you want to."
"Ew, gross!" my face twisted up in disgust, the only expression I have showed on this planet. "Sorry, not sorry, that is just not me."
"Where does such a good looking wolf such as you get those scars?" She asked in a faux concerned tone.
"That's none of your business," I turned into my human form, towering over her as the wolves around us watched. "You and Dylan seem perfect for each other, I'm sure the moon pool won't mind if I do this..." I waved my hands and they were pushed together. A cage formed around them and shrunk so they had limited space to move.
"Hey!" Dylan shouted.
"Let me out!" The white wolf shouted. "I can't move, this big oaf is on my tail!"
I knew I forgot something. "Oh, and this," I waved my hand again and their words were silenced.
"Thank you," Alexia said softly as the wolves around us cheered.
"Yes, thank you, Luna Fire Lord," Eruben added, coming closer with her mate.
I shook my head. "No need to thank me, I was doing my job," I said curtly.
"Look," Eruben's mate said, looking to the west. "The sun is going down, you must find your mate quick, else you have to go to the moon pool."
I looked at him. I was growing tired of calling him 'Eruben's mate' in my head. "What is your name?" I asked.
"Charles," he answered just as the last rays of the sun went down and the area was clothed in darkness once more.
"Luna Fire Lord," Eruben said, "you have not found your mate, she could be here."
I shook my head. "She is not here," I said, "I would have been able to smell her the second she walked into the area."
Just kidding! Here's the rest! (Don't kill me! *hides away in the corner*)
🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺
The moon pool was a large circle, it looked man made but somehow I knew it wasn't. It was in the shape of a crescent moon and there was a large stand made out of cement on the inside of the moon, overlooking its crystal waters. I could feel magic radiating off of it.
We took turns on the stand, Dylan went first and he knew not to mess around with me here so he went with out a fuss. He got off and went to sulk by the point of the moon.
Next was the white wolf, who's name I found out was Fen. She did almost the same as Dylan once she was done. Except she sat by Dylan, a little to close for it not to be something more and laid down.
Alexia was next, she went nervously to the stand and was there for almost a whole five minutes, staring into the waters. Her expression when she got down was all I needed to feel better for her and started to worry about what I would see. I was not sure I wanted to know who it was as of yet. It was not something I was quite ready to know.
A few more wolves I did not know went before me, allowing myself time to psych myself up before I went.
By the time it was my turn, there was only a few wolves left and most left to return to their packs. The others were waiting for someone. Dylan and Fen left for his pack long before half of the wolves went.
I slowly walked up to the stand and looked into the waters.
What I saw shocked me to the core.
Words in Ancient Greek.
A prophesy.
Oh, the wonders of getting away from all that.
The words stunned me. I knew nothing of what they meant at all. Normally some prophesies give a clue somewhere in the words but I knew nothing from that. How typical.
I got off the stand to allow the next wolf to go and stomped my way over to Alexia who was waiting for me.
"What did you see?" She asked.
"Words," I answered in a slightly angry voice.
"That's good right? Did the pool tell you who it was?" She asked, almost happy.
"Did it for you?" I returned.
"No, it told me how to find him by showing me pictures," she said, a little deflated.
"It gave me a prophesy," I growled in frustration, "I have had enough prophesies to last me several life times, why did it have to be a prophesy?"
"What is so bad about that?" Alexia asked.
"Prophesies never speak plainly," I answered, "they always speak in riddles and always have double meanings. One line could mean something completely different than what you thought. And it did not sound good."
"Oh," was all she said as she followed me to my pack.
We came up to the River-moon pack, who was fortunately talking to the Bloodmoon pack as they waited for us.
"Did you find your mate?" Alpha Diona asked eagerly. She reminded me of an excited mother. Or Aphrodite herself.
"No," I said at the same time Alexia said "yes."
Alexia whacked my arm, surprising me.
"Ow!" I said more out of reflex than anything else.
"He did, he's just being a punk about it because he needs to decipher a riddle," Alexia said happily to reassure my Alphas. Turning to me, she said, "Now you be good. Be happy and do your best." She straightened out my cloak as she was speaking. "Make some friends," she finished with a stern look at me.
My lips twitched and I decided to play along. "But mom!" I nearly whined, "All the guys here are jerks!"
"I'm sure not all of them are," Alexia laughed, "but if they are, make some lady friends. Most of the time they are the better ones."
I laughed with her as we said good bye and then made the journey home with a stunned pack who had never seen me have any expression but for the impassive face I had on all the time.
My time on the Planet of the Moon was short lived after that. The Bloodmoon pack was fortunately good friends with the River-moon pack so I was able to see Alexia before I left the planet. I made friends like she asked with Eruben, Rolf and surprisingly Fang. Alpha Coleson and Alpha Diona and I got on a first name basis as well. I was only there for a few more months after that before Toll came with his bus and I left the solar system entirely.
An art project of sorts. It's not my best...
Any planet ideas would be appreciated!!
