Kagura emerges from the castle and reveals that she was the one who slew Kōga's brethren by manipulating their corpses once again. Kōga, fuming now having learned the truth attempts to attack Kagura but his body seizes and he becomes paralyzed. She reveals that the shard in his right arm is a counterfeit concocted from a poison that paralyzes the user. His battle with Sesshomaru sped up the poison's effect, leaving him paralyzed. As Kagura prepares to have Kōga's own men slaughter him, Kagome fires a that Kagura blocks using Kōga's men, who are destroyed by the blast. Kagura realizes that Kagome is Kikyō reincarnated with her arrows and fires several wind blades, attempting to kill Kagome who is saved by Kirara and Shippō. As Kagura prepares to attack Kagome again, she is distracted by a Taefani coming back frantic, and the Alphas ask why she is back. Kōga now knows who truly deceived him as Kagura scoffs at Vegeta's drive to fight despite his injuries. She engages Tefani in battle, but due to her manipulation of the wind, being a wind sorceress, Tefani is unable to attack her using special attacks. Kagome fires another arrow but misses Kagura to her amusement. However, Kagome's sacred arrow cuts Kagura's demon wind, which Sesshomaru picks up on. He orders Kagome to fire an arrow at him, which after some hesitation she does, completely destroying her wind manipulation. Kagura simply states that she can just create more wind and does so, which allows Sesshomaru to attack her with the Wind Scar with his new sword Gameku. Kagura is shocked at the power coming from Sesshomaru and barely escapes on a feather. Inside the castle, Katsuki and Paul quickly dispatch the puppet Naraku sicked on them earlier by Kagura. 

Kagome quickly approaches a still poisoned Kōga. Kagome attempts to remove the poisoned shard from his arm only to be repelled by a barrier. Shippō gets the idea of having Kagome use a sacred arrow to break the barrier, which works and purifies the fake shard, destroying it instantly. Kōga walks away from the castle, vowing to kill both Kagura and Naraku for slaying his brothers. The Alphas ponder about the spider scar on Kagura's back, piecing that she must share some secret with Naraku as they go back to their hiding place in ergancy. Kagura angrily berates Naraku for deceiving her about the Gameku's power. Naraku muses that he didn't know how much power Sesshomaru's sword possessed, Kagura out of rage attacks him. Naraku produces an orb out of his arm and squeezes it, causing Kagura an overwhelming amount of pain. He reminds her to remember that she was once a part of him and he has no problem turning her back into what she once was. The remaining Alphas join the group in their cave and by their mates' side. It appears that the babies were waiting for their Father's return because the births went more smoothly, Ash, Izuku, Inuyasha, and Kakarot all gave birth to 3 boys and 3 girls. 

It wasn't until two months later when they began their journey again, that the children could crawl now, the Ukes didn't want to bring them on the mission but lost the argument when they were assured they would be safe, and Kagome was displeased by the decision. They encountered Kagura and another creation Kanna along the way, defeating them both as Atem kept the children hidden in his shadows that were strong enough that even Naraku couldn't break through. Then a purple demon was searching for any survivors, Kagura told him that he should leave them alone since there were only children left. Goshinki told her that he was commanded by to kill everything in the village. Kagura responded by telling him to do as he pleased and took off since she could not stand to be near him. Inuyasha was prepared to use the Wind Scar after seeing the children Yuki and her brother hold the remains of their parents. Goshinki found it pitiful that Inuyasha took pity on human children due to his yōkai heritage and was confused about why he couldn't read the minds of all the Hanyo and Sesshomaru. As Inuyasha was about to use the Wind Scar, Goshinki was able to break through it before it could be used against him. He then seized the in his fangs and shattered it into pieces. Inuyasha was caught off guard by seeing his sword broken and was knocked out when Goshinki hit him. Goshinki mocked Inuyasha for the condition that he was in and believed him to be dead. Suddenly he heard several growls the demon saw a pissed-off Sesshomaru and the rest of the Inu siblings. Goshinki unknowingly broke Aria, Xando, and Tiana's swords which was a grave mistake. Goshinki turned towards Inuyasha, his right arm was lopped off. The absence of the Tessaiga had allowed for Inuyasha's yōkai blood to take over.  Goshinki was unable to read Inuyasha's mind or the others still. He came charging towards Inuyasha, but he brutally tore Goshinki to shreds with his claws, leaving only his head behind. After Goshinki's death, he does calm down and his demon blood is at last his control. After Tessaiga was repaired, Two more powerful Naraku incarnations appeared Juromaru and Kageromaru but were defeated by Koga and Inuyasha. Koga once again was trying to woo Kagome and purposely make Inuyasha jealous but said person was occupied with talking with Sesshomaru and had part of his kimono off of his shoulder. Seeing this Kagome threw a tantrum, and left to go back to her time.

"Are you not going to go after her?!" 

"Shut up Scrawny, she isn't my woman or anything I already have a mate," Inuyasha says resting his head on Sesshomaru's shoulder. They find out Naraku still has Onigumo's heart inside of him, and never found out about the children. They set out on another adventure, Ryūkotsusei lies dormant, Inuyasha's father's claw still impaling, and thus sealing him. Naraku proceeds to appear, melt the claw, unseal Ryūkotsusei, and vanish. Inuyasha assaults Ryūkotsusei with confidence until his sword is deflected, at which time Ryūkotsusei taunts him, explaining his extremely hard skin protects him. Kagome and the others fly to the scene of the fight after having consulted with Tōtōsai, who tells them he is confronting Ryūkotsusei. A man accompanying them on the flight tells them that he must use the Backlash Wave, and defeats him.
