.12. THE MYSTERY REVEALED

Engrossed in a mystery book
He sat quietly in a corner
Wondering where Agatha was going
With this only clue, a burner.

Slowly the bus started
But, quickly came to a halt
All the heads sprung up but one
Irritated with the fault

"I'm sorry," came a soft voice
Deepa embarrassed a little
She had again slept late
After another night with her Kindle

People started whispering
Some threw a disgusted look,
But, the boy was oblivious
Completely engrossed in his book.

She quickly took a seat
Not bothering to look beside
Thanking the heavens for a vacant one
She admired the world outside

Some sweet shops across the road
A couple of tea vendors
The fragrance was so tempting
Titillating her taste buds tender

After a while her eyes found it
In the guys hand it sat
A new book of Agatha Christie
Which she'd just last week read

She was the master of mystery
Of writing those crime thriller
In this particular book
She solved the case with a burner

Excited by the memories
Her voice found her lips
"It's that old man from the restaurant
The one who killed her sis."

What did she just say?
It was confusion in his mind
Then suddenly it dawned
She'd revealed the mystery that bind

Since a couple of weeks
The book had kept him on edge
So engrossed by the mystery
He had even missed his match

This silly girl broke the suspense
He was furious and ready to snap
But stopped his curse midway
When he realized who was that

It was the same girl he'd seen
At Freshers and in the rain
It was the same girl he'd locked eyes
And seen that hidden pain

Recognition struck her as well
Her eyes too went wide
When she saw the guy's face
Who was sitting by her side.

They sat still for few seconds
Each debating on what to say
Both had a lot in mind
But no words found their way

"I actually wanted..."
"I just wanted to ask..."
They both spoke at once
It happened very fast

Then the blink of eyes
A tiny flushed smile
An awkward shake of hands
Locking their hands agile

They conversed all the way
With Deepa mostly talking
While Samar was happy to listen
This crazy girl ranting

It was the start of a friendship
Of a writer and her reader
A friendship that would evolve
And become much more stronger.

Become much more stronger...
