Mikasa woke up at 1:00 p.m. the next day. Her eyes widened when she saw her clock. She hated waking up late. 

She had plans (with herself) to go to the mall today. She didn't want the day to be a waste so she threw herself out of her bed and started to get ready.

When she was done, she ran downstairs for breakfa- ... lunch.

"Levi! Why didn't you wake me up? " she asked.

He finished off what ever was in his coffee mug, "You're almost 18 years-old, Mikasa, you can wake yourself up," he gave her a blank stare and looked back at his computer while adjusting his reading glasses, "and please stop using my car, or I'm going to sell yours."

She rolled her eyes and walked to the fridge, opening it. She sighed really loud, "Levi!" She said frustrated.

"Yea?"

"There's no food."

"Yea there is," He got up and looked in the fridge with her, "you can make yourself some beans or pasta."

"Ugh," she slammed the fridge and walked out of the kitchen towards the door, "I'm going to the mall."

"Alone?" He asked.

"Bye," Mikasa shut the door to the garage and opened the garage up itself.

She was at the mall by 3:00 p.m.

She got out of the car and headed into Dillard's. Mikasa did not plan her day to be filled with shopping, so she didn't stop to look at clothes and, instead, walked straight into the actual mall.

After playing with pets, eating samples, trying on Halloween costumes and taking pictures in the dressing room mirrors, Mikasa became bored.

She sat in the food court staring off into the distance. It'd only been an hour, and she was ready to leave. She sighed and started to get up.

She walked out of the food court. She was headed towards the escalators when she bumped into a person.

She looked up "oh, sorry about tha..." she stopped. Of course, she thought.

"Oh... hey," Eren stood in front of her, "fancy seeing you here."

"Yea," she fake chuckled.

"It's been, like, 3 months," he put his hands in his pockets.

Eren looked awful. Don't get me wrong he was still a guy that a girl would swoon over, but... he didn't look healthy.

"Yup. Is Armin here?"

"Nah. He left my house at like 2:00. I just came her because I got bored."

"Oh," she looked down.

Eren looked down at her stomach, "How's your baby... how's our baby?"

She looked at him in a way that said "why the fuck would you bring that up?", but he didn't seem to notice, so she just said, "good."

"What's his name?" he put his hand on her bump.

She jumped, "Her. Her name is Wendy."

"Wendy?" He smiled at the funny name, "Hey Wendy. Well, I was about to leave," Eren looked back at Mikasa.

"Oh, that's fine."

"No... but I can stay."

Mikasa didn't really know what to say.

Eren pointed back at the food court, "wanna grab something? I'll pay."

"Uh, sure."

He paid for a 6-inch Philly cheesesteak and a 6-inch San Francisco wrap. He stared at Mikasa as she chomped down on everything and raised an eyebrow.

She slowly looked up at him and, mouth stuffed, said, "I'm feeding for two."

Eren laughed and went back to his Asian chicken, he forgot the name of it.

"How's your summer been?" Eren asked.

"Boring," she sighed.

"You been hanging out with jean at all?"

"No," Mikasa looked down.

"Mm, good. Yea, my summer has been pretty boring too."

Yea because you've been high most of it, "Well, Armin is all I've hung out with this summer. I guess I could try someone new," She glanced up at Eren.

He gave off that charming smile of his, "Well, here they are."

After they finished eating, they agreed to walk around together. The awkward tension soon broke, and they both temporarily forgot that they hated each other.

It was nice. Mikasa got to laugh with someone other than Armin and Levi. She didn't care about stares from the others as they walked passed.

So let it be that people thought they were back together.

Eren tugged Mikasa's sleeve as they passed Spencer's.

"No," Mikasa grinned.

He grabbed her arm and pulled her in. He headed to the back.

"Hi, I'm Eren and I say I'm 17 years old, but in reality I'm 10," he said picking up a sex doll that blew up into a fat girl and read "she's large and in charge".

Mikasa giggled, "Hey, look, aren't those what you keep in your drawers?" She pointed over to the vibrators.

"Awe, fuck you. You know I have a dick," he looked down at her.

She smiled and blushed a little before turned back to the wall full of sex toys.

"Hey why don't you go try this on real quick," Eren pointed to a lingerie set that hung high on the wall, but quickly moved on to something else, "I have an idea!"

Mikasa stared in shock at him as he unpackaged a vibrator and flipped it on, and chucked it across the store, hitting someone.

"Oh my god," Mikasa whispered.

"Excuse you!" A worker from the desk screamed at them, "those are not toys!"

Eren took off as the employee started to storm over to Mikasa and him. Mikasa followed. The employee chased them out of the store and called security, but security didn't even come up to the store.

As they both caught their breaths from running and laughing, they calmly walked side-by-side for a while.

Eren finally broke the silence by saying, "What do you think is better? Me or that vibrator?"

"I... i don't know. I don't remember," she playfully looked at him.

He smirked, Want a reminder?, he squinted his eyes to resist saying it and instead just laughed.

"Did you know it was 9:00?" Eren said looking at his phone.

"Oh shit. No it isn't."

"9:03."

"I had to be home by 8:45!"

"I can drive you," he said.

Mikasa didn't even remember that she had taken her car and said, "oh yes! That'd be great."

He smiled and remembered how cute she was.

They walked out of the mall and into the small parking garage that the mall unnecessarily built.

"Make sure you speed home. I'm not 'finna' get my ass beat," Mikasa said once they got in, and Eren started up the car.

"I'm not 'finna' get myself a ticket, sweetheart," Eren teased her for saying "finna".

"Would you rather get a ticket or upset Levi?"

"You right," Eren laughed and pulled out of the mall lot.

Small conversation went between the two for most of the way. Mikasa turned on the music 10 minutes before they were to arrive at her house.

"Gee, am I that boring?" Eren asked because she had.

"No," she turned it down a bit, "you just stopped talking."

"It's been fun," Eren said.

"Yea, it was a lot of fun. I think I've forgotten what it's like to have other friends."

Have you forgotten what it's like to have a boyfriend? "But armin's a good friend to have. Don't take that for granted."

"You and Connie still talk?"

"Fuck yea. We're closer than ever," Eren smiled.

Mikasa examined his weary, gift-from-god looking face, you're fucking hot, "Hey, turn up here."

"I know where you live, Mikasa. I've been here many times," Eren turned to her and winked.

A shudder went down her body and her face turned a bright pink. She faced away from him and they both awkwardly laughed.

When Eren pulled up to her house, Mikasa turned to Eren, "Thank you for the ride home."

"You're welcome for the ride home."

They sat there for a while. Just staring. Somehow they'd grown closer by a couple of inches.

As their faces were centimeters apart, Mikasa hugged Eren very quickly and got out of the car, rushing to her door. Eren drove away.

When she walked in, Levi was in the exact same spot as when she left, on the computer, with his reading glasses on, and the same cup filled with the same substance.

"You're a little late," he side glanced at her.

"Sorry, I lost track of time."

"I didn't hear the garage open."

"Huh..." Mikasa suddenly remembered her car still parked in the mall parking lot, "shit," she mumbled.

"Hm?"

"Nothing, it's just... it's sitting infront of the house."

"Oh, okay," Levi looked back at his screen.

"Hm? What's this?" Mikasa picked up a small box that was beside Levi's computer.

"Uh, I went out and, uh, bought it today."

"What is i—" Mikasa had opened it, "What?!" When?!"

"I... i don't know. Just getting prepared."

"Oh my god! Levi!" She hugged him and then put the box that held a beautiful diamond ring inside of it gently down on the table.

He smiled a little, "go to bed," he said sort of playfully.

"Good night dad," she unintentionally responded.
