Fangirls use many terms to describe their fandoms. Here are a few:

Fandom: A group of fans who share the same interest. This can be a show, a book, a movie, or even a video game.

Fangirl: A female who has devoted her life to her fandom, often characterized by squealing and bouncing around.

Fanboy: Same description as a fangirl, but male.

Hater: Someone who is highly against the fandom, can be quite rude, but not always.

Ship: Two or more characters who would possibly make a good couple.

OTP: One True Pairing, one's favorite ship.

NOTP: A ship that one heavily dislikes.

Crack ship: A pairing that would be impossible in cannon (Ex. They never, and would never, meet).

Cannon: Something confirmed to be true by the creator of the fandom.

Headcannon: A theory made up by a fan that has not been confirmed, but is possibly true.

Cosplay: A costume of a character from what a fandom is based off of.

OC: A character created by a fan for a fandom.

Mary-Sue: An OC which is highly unrealistic and often over powered.

Fanfic: Short for Fanfiction, a story written by a fan, based off of the universe that the fandom revolves around.

OOC: Out of character, a character not acting as they usually would (ex. A normally apathetic character getting upset over something small.)

Fluff: A form of fanfiction tha

Fanart: Art made by a fan for their fandom.

Merch: Short for Merchandise, usually articles of clothing related to the fandom.
