Chapter 19 - Total Domination
"What? Possessed?" Erza said, possibly a little too loud. "Let's get Takeshi to the infirmary first." Jellal suggested. He carried the teenager into the infirmary and placed him on one of the beds. Having seen Jellal carry Takeshi in, Riko, Mirajane, Elfman, and Evergreen followed them.
"Oh dear, what happened?" Mira asked, walking up to the bed where Takeshi was.
"I'm not sure." Jellal shrugged, "He walked into the guild and collapsed."
"But apparently Tarou is possessed." Erza added.
"WHAT!?!" Evergreen and Elfman shouted in unison.
"Calm down, you two." Mira smiled at the two parents, trying to lighten the mood. "Let's just wait until Takeshi wakes up and then we can all have a nice and friendly conversation." Everyone nodded and left the infirmary. Every now and then someone would stick their head in the infirmary to check on the sleeping boy. Hours had passed and Takeshi was still asleep. What was more frightening was the fact that Tarou hadn't been to the guild at all since his confrontation with Takeshi. Everyone tried to keep themselves busy to keep the whole situation off of their minds. Mirajane cleaned dishes behind the bar, Erza did paperwork in her office, Jellal played games with Yumi and Simon, and Riko, Elfman, and Evergreen went to the guild's backyard to spar.
Another couple of hours later, at six o'clock, the sunset was visible across the sky. Mira was wiping down the bar with a wash cloth when she heard footsteps coming down the hall. When she turned her head to look, she saw Takeshi standing at the corner of the hallway. He wiped his eyes similar to how a child does once waking up from a nap. "Enjoy your nap?" Mira smiled even though she had a million questions she went to ask.
Takeshi nodded and walked to the bar, taking a seat directly in front of Mira. "Here." Mira took a plate of food out of the microwave and put it in front of the boy. "You're probably hungry." She smiled. Takeshi looked at the food then up at Mira. "Thank you." He said then began eating. While Takeshi was eating, Yumi and Simon ran by the bar with Jellal chasing after them. "Takeshi?" Jellal stopped moving once he saw his eldest son eating at the bar.
"Hey, Dad." Takeshi replied with a mouth full of food. "Hold on." Jellal put a finger up and ran off. Several minutes later, Jellal was back and Erza, Riko, Elfman, and Evergreen were with him. They all surrounded the boy, looking like a team huddle. "Is Tarou really possessed?" Riko was the first to speak. She leaned in towards her brother as she asked the question, curious to know the answer.
Takeshi tensed once the words were spoken. Only the strong shall survive. He instantly remember seeing Tarou's solid black eyes. "Only the strong shall survive." He repeated in a mumble. "What did you . . " Elfman mumbled. ". . . just say?" Evergreen finished. "That's what Tarou said." Takeshi explained. "Or rather what it said," He turned his head to look at everyone, "because that definitely was not Tarou."
"So where is Tarou?" Riko brought up the one question that Takeshi didn't want to think about. As long as his friend was like that, he didn't want to be near him. But he did want to save him, to help him and deliver him from whatever evil was lurking within him. "I don't know." Takeshi finally answered. It was silent for a moment as everyone thought about what they all should do. "Do you think we should go out to look for him?" Mira asked.
"You don't have to look far." A voice spoke causing everyone to turn around. In the doorway of the guild was Tarou. A black-eyed Tarou. The entire guild looked at Tarou with their jaws dropped. Some were even shaking in fear. All were shocked except Takeshi.
"WHO ARE YOU?" Evergreen shouted, "AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY SON?" The Fairy Mage stepped forward, by Elfman grabbed her arm. "No, Ever. He's dangerous." He gripped her arm tight, not tight enough to hurt her, but tight enough to get his point across about how worried he was.
"Tarou's fine." The Beast Slayer smirked, "I'd never hurt him." He stepped into Fairy Tail, letting the door close behind him. "After all, I'm the one that trained him." He added. Everyone gasped. "Y-You're . ." Takeshi mumbled. "Yes, my name is Kaage." Tarou answered.
"Hey!" Natsu shouted from a table he was sitting at with Lucy, Happy, Lily, Gray, and Gajeel. The pink haired teen jumped on top of the table and pointed a finger at Kaage . "Were you the one that I was fighting with?" He asked. Kaage crossed his arms over his chest. "No, that was Tarou." He answered. "To be honest, Tarou doesn't even know that I'm inside him. And just in case you were wondering, I'm the one that brought him back to the human world." He cracked his knuckles then crossed his arms again. "You should all be thanking me." He glared.
"We can thank you after you tell us your motive." Erza stepped forward.
"My motive?" Kaage asked innocently, tilting his head to the side.
"Don't feign innocence with me!" Erza scolded, "What is it that you want?"
It was quiet within the guild as Kaage simply stared at Erza. Tension began to rise and it left a bad feeling in everyone's gut. "What is it I want, you ask?" Kaage sighed. He paused for a moment before speaking again. "I WANT TOTAL DOMINATION OF EVERYTHING!" He shook with excitement.
"I'll tell you something I tell all of my enemies." Erza took another step forward. "You won't get what you're looking for because Fairy Tail will stop you."
Kaage let out a loud laugh that boomed throughout the guild. "Don't flatter yourself, kid." He said once he stopped laughing, "It's a hundred years too early for air headed children like you to be challenging a skilled warrior like me." A grin formed on Kaage's face. "Let the games begin!"
