Chapter 17

*Louis's POV*

Louis looked out the window of his father's car, admiring the view. He and Emma were unexpectedly going to be dropped off at their mother's house for the weekend, with their father having to prepare for a parent-teacher night.

Ah, peace and quiet...

Emma suddenly looked at him with a mischevious smile. Oh no.... Louis thought, remembering something. Plan Get Adrinette back together is going to happen soon. Someone save me.

Louis suddenly heard their dad humming something. He hummed an unfamiliar song while driving them to their mother's house. "Dad," Emma said. "What song are you humming?"

Their Dad turned slightly red, probably thinking of what to tell them. Hmm... Louis thought. This is interesting...

"I made this song for a friend of mine...." He muttered. "Friend?" Emma said, raising a brow.

Please no... Louis thought. Emma's always curious. Didn't she hear that curiosity killed the cat?

Their Dad turned red. "A friend..." Emma mused. "What's this friend's name?"

"Lad-" His father's voice faltered.

"Lad what  exactly?" Emma said.

"Lad...Ladonyah," Their Father immediately said.

Emma turned to Louis. "Seems like Dad's hiding something from us. Maybe this 'Ladonyah' used to be an old crush of his."

Their Dad turned even redder. Oh, please no. Can't we just ride in the car in silence? Is that asking too much?

"Ladonyah. Seems like such a fake name." Emma said.

"Actually," Louis said. "Ladonyah is an unpopular name."

Emma glared at him.

Louis gulped. "It is unlikely that Dad used to have a friend named Ladonyah. She would either have to be a famous model, which she is not. Or she would have to go to his old school. I looked in Dad's yearbooks and there was no Ladonyah."

"Gee, Louis," Their father muttered. "I thought you were on my side."

"No, I'm on the side of the greater good. The greater good of myself, I mean." Louis admitted.

"So," Emma said, crawling into the front passenger seat. "How did you and your crush meet?"

"Friend..." Their Father muttered.

"Seems like this Ladonyah isn't a friend," Emma said. "For all we know, you used to date her, have a crush on her, or... she could be Ladybug for all we know,"

Suddenly, Louis felt a huge swerve and closed his eyes, scared. A big jerk was felt. When he opened them, he gasped in shock.

In front of them was a tree. Reluctantly, Louis turned his eyes toward the driver seat, to see that their father was unconscious, with Emma unconscious as well.

"Oh, no no no," Louis panicked. "This is NOT happening to me. Please tell me this is a dream." He pinched himself, only to find out that it was definitely NOT a dream.

Louis immediately looked into Emma's bag which was in the seat beside him and found her phone.

His parents hadn't gotten him a phone yet, saying that he didn't need one. Louis agreed, if he ever did get a phone, he would probably try to get rid of it. He didn't want to get phone calls or texts from Emma in the middle of the night if she got one of her 'ideas'.

He opened the door slowly and stepped out of the car. He pressed the first number he saw, their mother's. A few seconds later, their mother's voice came up.

"Emma?" She said confused.

"No, it's Louis," Louis said. "Louis? Why are you on Emma's phone?" HIs mother asked worriedly.

"We um..." Louis scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Got into a car crash."

"Where's Emma? Or your father? Can I speak to one of them?" His mother said immediately.

"They both passed out," Louis said calmly, trying but failing to sound worried. He read about this in books too much. Maybe that's why he was acting so calm. "Can you get some help? We're on Saule Pleureure road-"

*Marinette/Ladybug's POV*

"We're on Saule Pleureure road-" Suddenly the call was off.

"Louis? Louis?" Marinette said, gripping to phone tightly. 'Are you there?"

"The phone must've of died, Marinette," said Tikki's sweet voice sounding worried. The Kwami sat on her shoulder.

"I have to go there fast, Tikki. Even if A-Adrien is there. It's Emma I'm worried about. And poor Louis..." Marinette said, worried.

"Just say the words, Marinette," Tikki said.

"Alright," Marinette said. "Tikki! Spots on!"

*Louis's POV*

Louis opened the trunk of the car, picking up a bag of Catbug crackers. They were basically animal crackers except for the fact that instead of animal shapes, the crackers were shaped as the two superheroes of Paris.

His Dad was addicted to them, though he had no idea why. On his bad days, he would grab some Catbug crackers from the pantry and go into his home office. Sometimes Louis could hear his Father talk to them as if he was actually talking the superheroes themselves.

Louis opened the bag and grabbed a water as well, sitting on the ground. I'm definitely not worry-eating... This was just because I'm hungry... He then popped some crackers into his mouth.

Suddenly, from the corner of his eye, he saw some red and black. Could it be...?

"Hello," Ladybug said, jumping into view. "I heard you got into a tough situation. As you know, I'm Ladybug."

"L-Ladybug?" Louis said, almost choking on the crackers he has eaten earlier. "Don't you deal with Akumas? Besides, this isn't really an emergency. My Dad obviously fainted because of my annoying sister, Emma. And Emma, she got a minor concussion. So this isn't really an emergency situation..."

"Wait, back up." Ladybug said, raising a brow. "Are you saying you don't want me to be here? If so, I could leave..."

"No!" Louis said. "T-That's not what I meant! Couldn't you be doing something more important than this? Did I pull you away from an emergency happening elsewhere? For all we know, Hawkmoth could've taken over Paris by now!"

Ladybug chuckled. "Don't worry about the fate of Paris, that's my job. Besides, I was just patrolling..."

Not likely... Louis thought. Ladybug and Chat Noir patrolled in the night, which means that- He almost fell over. Ladybug was near us when we crashed. That's how she got here! Or maybe Mom called on her to come here... which would not be likely....

*Ladybug's POV*

Louis was silent for a few seconds. Who knew what was going on in that boy's head? She tried not to sound like her civilian self, thankfully she was succeeding.

"I'll pull out your sister out of the car." Ladybug said.

"And my father," Louis said back. "He's also in there."

Ladybug blinked, trying to control herself. "Yes, him too."

She pulled out Emma, and then almost tearfully pulled out Adrien. I haven't seen his face in forever... he changed so much. Tears nearly came out of her eyes.

"Um, Ladybug?" Louis said, "Are you alright? I mean of course you're a superhero, but..."

"No, I'm fine." She said. "I just have slight allergies, that's all."

She checked Emma and Adrien's vital signs. "Both of them are alright, just as you said. They don't need any medical assistance."

She was about to leave when Louis stopped her. "Wait, you can't leave me here."

"Don't worry," She said with a smile. "On my way here, I saw a car coming, which I assume to be your mother's. She'll get you, your sister, and your father into her car. I just came by in case they were terribly hurt, which thankfully they are not."

"Thank you," Louis said.

"Welcome," Ladybug said back. "Bug out!" And with that, she left the area, making sure to drive back there in a few minutes.

*Louis's POV*

Louis stared out at the figure of Ladybug, going away. "Wow," He muttered. "So that was Ladybug. Hmm... does that mean I get to brag to Emma that I met Ladybug? Of course."
