Killer

Izuku and Izumi trained for three days straight, only stopping to eat or sleep, pushing their bodies and quirks to the limits and going beyond.

Izumi leapt at Izuku, green lightning crackling around her. Izuku stomped on the ground in his hero costume's boots, making a wall of carbon steel rise from the wooden floorboards. It was layered on the inside with several plates, which were each supported by springs between each plate.

Izumi punched the wall. The first three plates received dents, but the rest did not.

The ninth holder leapt over the wall and down towards her brother.

Izuku fired his grappling hook just under her arm, pulling himself up to meet her, flesh to metal.

  "That's enough!" Gran Torino shouted.

Izuku grabbed Izumi instead of punching her, lowering them both back to the ground using the grappling hook.

The moment he touched the ground the steel wall vanished into the floorboards, becoming wooden planks again.

"You've both surpassed my expectations. Now, time for some practical experience!" The short hero said, turning to the door.

"We're going villain hunting in the next city over. Get your costumes on and get ready for a long train ride." He said.

______________

Izuku sat down onto his seat beside Izumi. He pulled out his phone, checking for any messages.

"Iida is worrying me." He clicked. "He's been down ever since his brother was hurt, but he seemed.. resolved at the station before everyone went to their internships."

"He's in Hosu right?" Izumi asked.

  Izuku nodded.

"The same city his brother was attacked in. And if the Hero Killer's pattern holds true.. he's got one more hero to kill before he moves on again."

  Izuku glanced out the window.

A hero was flying towards the train. Not by quirk use, he'd been thrown. A grotesque monster with an exposed brain was following after the hero.

  "Everybody hold on!" Izuku yelled.

The train shuddered as the hero came through the wall, the Nomu crawling through the small gap, tearing the metal wall open further. A few of the passengers screamed.

"Brats! Help anyone you can!" Gran Torino yelled, jettisoning himself from the train, taking the Nomu with him.

Both siblings ran straight to the giant hole in the side of the train.

Hosu was in flames. There were 4 main sources of destruction scattered around the city. There was another Nomu flying above the buildings, screeching in an ear shattering wail. Another Nomu similar to the one at the USJ was crashing through buildings and throwing heroes around like ragdolls. Izuku could only assume the other two places were caused by Nomu too.

"I'll find Iida. You go after Torino and help him, as well as any civilians you find. I'll send out my location when I find him. Stain and Iida will both take advantage of the confusion to start their parallel schedules." Izuku signed over the carcophany of noise.

Izumi nodded, green lightning sparking around her. The teen leapt from the train after their mentor, disappearing into the carnage below.

Izuku turned his attention West. There was absolutely nothing going on over there. The winding alleyways were devoid of Nomu, which seemed strange. Were the League aiding Stain by drawing attention? Either way, Stain would take advantage of the abandoned part of the city while everyone focuses on the Nomu.

Izuku jumped from the train, his grappling hook latching onto the building below. He fell past the ledge and swung like a pendulum, letting the hook return once he reached the height of his swing.

Izuku fired the hook again into another building further away, and swung in an arc towards it.

"Izuku man, Izuku man, does whatever an Izuku can." He clicked nervously.

The white haired boy landed atop a low building, his eyes scanning the alleyway below. Iida was not there. Neither was Stain.

A loud clang echoed from the alleyway across the street. Izuku's head jerked around towards the sound.

He could just make out an armoured man standing before a man wreathed in bandages and scarves. The second man's sword had been shattered, most likely by the first man's armoured body.

Stain raised the broken katana to his mouth, licking the blade. Izuku watched Iida crumple to the ground.

The grappling hook latched onto the top of the building to the right of Stain, and yanked Izuku towards the killer.

The assassin heard something, and looked up from the motionless hero student a fraction of a second too late.

Izuku's metal fist slammed into Stain's throat, making the man choke and reel back, stumbling away from the masked boy.

"Iida, are you okay?" Izuku asked.

"M-Mask..? What are you doing here? You need to run, this is my fight!" The boy said.

Izuku shook his head, sending a quick glance back to his classmate.

"What kind of hero would I be if I left you behind?" He clicked.

Izuku turned his attention to the hero killer. He was smiling gruesomely.

"It was a little too fast for me to get everything, but you speak like a true hero 'Mask'. Step aside, it would be a shame to kill you over these fakes." He spat.

Izuku raised his hand up to his face, making the phone shape again.

"Message all contacts. Attach location. Message reads: "Hosu under attack. Encountered Hero Killer. Iida and hero hurt. Requesting aid."." He said.

Stain charged forwards, but his new blade was swiftly blocked by Izuku's right arm. The screech of metal on metal rang out, and the two stood at a standstill.

Izuku's phone buzzed up a storm in his pocket, notifying him of the flood of messages coming in.

All of class 1A, the UA faculty and Gran Torino were his only contacts.

Stain growled, drawing a short but hefty knife with his left hand, swinging it at Izuku's neck. Izuku ducked, making the knife scrape against and glance off his mask.

The student kicked the wall to his right, sending a metal pole right at Stain from the brick.

The killer was barely able to dodge, his incredible reflexes prolonging the fight further.

Iida was still trying to plead with Izuku, but he tuned it out, keeping everything focused on Stain. He was smiling horribly again.

"You really are a hero.. most of these fakes are all talk, but you can hold up your ideals.. you have my respect Mask."

Izuku tapped the ground gently with his foot, sending a flurry of metal poles at Stain. The killer dodged, springboarding from the metal beams to gain height on Izuku.

He was right where Izuku wanted him.

"You can't get away from me now Stain!" He shouted.

The masked boy stomped on the ground. The walls and floor turned to carbon steel, and shifted in waves, reaching out towards the hero Killer. Stain, realising his mistake, tried to slash through the approaching cage.

The walls stretched up and over the villain, becoming a thick steel container. Izuku reached out and tapped the metal sphere, stepping back to watch it shrink around Stain.

Once the excess melted back into the walls, Stain was left in heavy steel cuffs that restrained his hands and feet. The metal block around his feet was fused with the ground, ensuring he couldn't escape.

Stain was cackling like a madman.

"I thought he was the only true hero... The only one truly worthy of the top title... But you Mask... You are a true hero..."

Izuku just raised his hand to his face again.

"Message all contacts. Message reads: "Stain neutralised. Same location as before, Iida and hero still need aid. Unsure of Hosu's situation. Sorry for worrying you all."." He coughed out.

Izuku rubbed his throat. It was really getting sore today..

______________

Iida only had a small scratch, while Native had a shallow stab wound. The paralysis wore off after another few minutes, letting the two walk out of the alleyway on their own. Izuku manipulated the ground to pull Stain along while keeping him secured to the floor.

Izumi came down from the roof in a flurry of green lightning.

  "Izuku! Are you okay??"

She landed beside her brother and grabbed his arm, checking for any blood or holes in his costume.

"I'm fine Zumi. Didn't even get a scratch. Native needs medical aid, but it's not life threatening. Iida has a small cut, and Stain is unhurt." He clicked.

A yellow blur kicked Izuku's mask, making the teen stumble back.

"What were you thinking you clod?? Going after the hero killer?" Torino asked.

"My quirk completely neutralises any danger he poses. Blades reform as they touch me, and he needs blood to use his quirk. The only way Stain could have won was if he choked me to death without letting me touch any inanimate objects, which was highly unlikely." Izuku signed.

Shoto came barreling around the corner, his hair alight.

"Izuku! Are you okay??" He shouted, running over.

Izuku just gave a thumbs up.

Shoto looked down at the restrained Stain.

"You.. caught the Hero Killer. The man my father has been hunting for months in about three minutes." The scarred boy chuckled. "This is amazing."

A shout of "Look Out!" Interrupted them.

Something swooped down and grabbed Izuku in it's claws. His left shoulder was pierced, but the Nomu's claws couldn't scratch his right shoulder.

  ""Izuku!""

The masked boy just clenched his fist, drawing the wrist blade over his hand. He punched the Nomu's leg, making it screech and let go of his left shoulder.

Izuku grabbed on with his right hand and hoisted himself up the Nomu's leg and up to it's throat.

His arm came up and the blade sliced cleanly through it's throat, removing it's head entirely.

This one seemingly didn't have regeneration, as it dropped like a rock the moment it's head was removed.

Izuku used the grappling hook to land safely on the ground beside the dead Nomu. Izuku turned back to the heroes. Endeavour had been the one to call out the warning.

Stain was practically snarling at Endeavour.

"You fake! You dare hold the mantle of hero... Only All Might.." the villain twisted his whole body to face Izuku. "And Mask are worthy heroes!!"

  Hosu's disaster was over.
