It has been a week since Mecha Sonic and Sans manage to find Metal Sonic, who is somehow still alive, but is in a seriously damaged state. It's amazing that he manages to survive this long all on his own. But even so, Metal Sonic, even after all that has happened, is loyal to the doctor, in spite of what he has become, and still desires to serve him. Even in such a sad state, the doctor still cares a bit with his robotic creations and goes in to help fix him. Dust has no idea what is inside of the doctor's mind, as well as the robots, but he is not going to judge them, as he instead goes to work on the Silver Sonic machine.

Currently, Sans is shown using some tools to reroute it for a bit, as he and Alphys puts in the finishing touches on the machine.

"Just a few...more...parts..."

Sans said, as both he and Alphys began to finish it. After a few minutes, Sans and Alphys finally finished, as he spoke out.

"Alright, we're done."

Sans teleports next to Alphys, the teleports her back onto solid ground, as the both of them looked up and see Silver Sonic, and although it simply looks repaired on the outside, on the inside, Silver Sonic has now become a combat suit for Sonic to pilot. Sans wiped his face, as he spoke out.

"There we go. After a week finishing this thing, now it's ready. And using some of Robotnik's parts also is kinda a big help as well."

Sans kinda had the idea to use some parts of Eggman's fallen machines back when he was still human to be able to handle how fast Silver Sonic will be, especially to prevent it from overheating and not burn Sonic while he overheated. While the machines were somehow a bit rusty, Sans manage to restore the components to their original selves as best he can in order to make sure Silver Sonic maintains a consistent temperature when its speed is used in combat. Sans looks up and spoke out to Alphys.

"So, everything in place for this piece of scrap metal to take action?"

Alphys looks at her notes and spoke out to him

"Y-Y-Yes, we rerouted the wirings to try and make some new features to allow S-S-Sonic to pilot this machine, implemented a self-cooling unit to keep the robot at stable temperatures at all times, a-a-and even added some weapons into it based off of one of the smaller S-S-Silver Sonic models that Sonic told us about."

Sans nodded his head and spoke out

"Definitely. Wrist laser cannons, wrist missile launchers, laser vision and grappling cables, even having to add some jet systems underneath booth the shoes and back with enough force and power to allow it to fly, since this thing's extremely heavy. Luckily, we got the self-cooling unit integrated into the jet systems as well. So that too will not overheat indefinitely."

Sans looks up at Silver Sonic, as he spoke out.

"Only thing we're still trying to figure out is to give it a self-repairing sort of system, especially for a machine of this size. But if we can't do that...than well, we best try to integrate some shields into and make it act like some sort of durable armor."

Alphys puts a hand on her face, as she spoke out.

"W-W-Well, what if we give it both protection and self-repair, and the self-repair w-w-would be in the form of...maybe nanobots or something."

Sans puts a hand on his face, as he mumbled out to himself.

"Maybe. But...maybe Eggman has that, I don't know. First let's take a test run for Silver Sonic, than I can try and find one of Eggman's labs in order to see if we can use some of his machines and parts to help out with Silver Sonic."

Alphys nodded her head, as Sans teleports to Sonic, who is now walking with Rosy. Sans spoke out to Sonic.

"Hey, Sonic. We got the Silver Sonic suit ready to test. You wanna come along and try it out?"

Sonic looks at Sans and shrugged his shoulders.

"Eh, why not. Hey, Amy...you mind if I can go?"

Amy looks at Sonic and smiled.

"I don't mind just...come back soon, okay?"

Sonic nodded, as Amy kissed Sonic on the cheek, before Sonic goes to Sans, who then puts a hand on Sonic's shoulder, and the both of them teleport back to the True Lab, as Alphys is shown trying to lower the Silver Sonic suit onto solid ground. Slowly, and carefully, the Silver Sonic suit is lowered, and both cables and chains are now detached from Silver Sonic, as Sans spoke out.

"Alright, we've put in as much weapons into it as we can, we've made sure there are not any bugs inside of the robot, made sure the suit will match what you do when you fight, only the extra defense and repair system we didn't do. But other than that, it should be up and ready to go when you are."

Sonic nodded, and looks up, as he spoke out.

"So...how am I gonna get inside of it?"

Sans looked at Sonic and spoke out.

"Well, believe it or not, I went to one of Eggman's bases and found out he had taken some of your DNA. So...I modified the suit to respond to your DNA, in this case, touch. Just touch any part of the body, and it will open. Of course, it needs to be touched by bare skin."

Sonic looked up a bit, and goes to one of the legs of the Silver Sonic suit, and elbowed it. When he did, the robot head lifts up and bends backwards, yet still remaining attached to the machine, as Sonic looks up in excitement and spoke out.

"Woah...that's cool."

Sonic jumped up and goes into the suit, and sees that there are holes that are connecting the arms and legs. Sonic puts his arms and legs into the holes, and when did, the head began to go back onto the shoulders, and sealed it up. A red Heads Up Display is present, including a targeting system, detecting other machines, showing if the weapons are online, defenses being offline, cooling units being operational, etcetera. Needless to say, Sonic is enjoying being inside of the metal suit, as he began to move.

"Aw yeah, now we're talking."

As Sonic rose up, the head accidentally busted the ceiling and broke some stuff. This made Sonic froze for a bit, before lowing down and onto one knee.

"Oh...hehehehehehe...whoops."

Alphys looked almost scared and Sans facepalmed a bit, as he spoke out.

"Let's test it outside."

Sans grabs Alphys by the hand and touches the foot of the combat suit, and teleports them both to an abandoned town next to Mount Ebott. Sonic, inside of the Silver Sonic suit, looks around and spoke out.

"Uh...okay? Why bring is here?"

Sans looks up and spoke out to him.

"Consider it a perfect place to test out the functions of Silver Sonic, since there is no one here. So...you can destroy the buildings."

Sonic looks around, and spoke out.

"Well, I guess can make an exception about avoiding collateral damage."

Sans nodded, and spoke out.

"Okay. Now, let's start with strength. Try and pick up one of the buildings."

Sonic looks at it, and grabs it with both of Silver Sonic's hands, and picks it up. And surprisingly, Silver Sonic is able to carry the building without much issue. Sonic looks amazed and spoke out.

"Heh, sweet! How strong is this suit?!"

Sans looks up and spoke out.

"Tried to make it strong enough to hopefully make it hurt even Exetior without needing to go Super, but...I can't make it genuinely as strong as Super Sonic, nor as fast despite making it faster than you in base form, but it is virtually indestructible like that first Silver Sonic model you talked to me about, so it should be able to withstand Exetior's own hits no problem, not to mention having a limitless power supply."

Sonic looks almost impressed, as he spoke out.

"Wow, for someone who says you're not as intelligent of Robotnik, you sure manage to upgrade it in ways he can't."

Sans shrugged his shoulders, as he spoke out.

"Well, even I have no idea how far my intellect goes so...there's that."

Sonic nodded and threw the building elsewhere, as Sans spoke out.

"Okay, let's try speed."

Sonic then got onto one of his knees, and has his hands on the ground, and then, some smaller jet boosters appeared behind the foot, as Sonic moves the suit, and the Silver Sonic moved, much faster then Sonic in base form. When he moved, Silver Sonic moved like a blur and crashed through some buildings, and not a single scratch on its exterior present. Then, Silver Sonic flies up into the air, moving somewhat faster than on ground, as it landed down. Sans blinked and spoke out.

"Huh, didn't talk about flying but...that works as well."

Sonic smiled a bit, as he spoke out.

"Nice, gonna try to spin dash."

Sonic prepares to spin dash, and as he did, the interior of the space he'a in reconfigured and changed to allow Sonic to Spin Dash, as Silent Sonic then began to do its own Spin Dash attack.

Silver Sonic then turned and swerved to some buildings, and crashed and cut through them like butter. After that, Sonic stood up and loved Silver Sonic's arm for a thumbs up, as he jumped back and landed in front of both Sans and Alphys, as she almost toppled down.

"Nice. But...how do I use the weapons?"

Sans looks up and spoke out to him.

"The machine's connected by your thoughts to an extent. Just think of what you want it to use and it'll activate. Same with firing it. The HUD should show it. Just 'will' the list of weapons to appear."

Sonic blinked a bit, as he then looks and tries to think of the weapon lost showing. And surprisingly, the instant he thought of it, a list of weapons showed on the screen. Sonic looks and smiled, as he spoke out.

"Ha, Way Past Cool!!"

Sans smiled, as he spoke out.

"Let's try the grappling cable one first."

Sonic nodded, as he airs his arm at one of the buildings, as a wire fired out and wrapped around one of them, before Silver Sonic is then pulled up fast, but the building is then torn down by the sheer weight of Silver Sonic, as it fell down and hit the floor. Luckily, the cable was fine. Silver Sonic stood up, and he spoke out.

"Augh...that hurt my back a bit. But at least you made the back cushion me, somehow."

Silver Sonic looks elsewhere and fired some missiles from the wrist, which were rather big in size, and exploded some buildings. Silver Sonic then fired lasers from the eyes and burned through multiple buildings that are multiple miles away, and even hit some trees that are even farther. Deciding to try out one more function, Sonic raised one of Silver Sonic's arms and fired a laser out from it. Sonic grinned widely, as he goes to Sans and spoke out.

"Hah, you really outdone yourself, Sans!!! This'll be way past cool to use!!!"

Sans smiled and spoke out.

"Of course. Although, we still need to implement some extra defenses. I may have said it is virtually indestructible, but if I were to bet, the Highest might still be powerful enough to break it."

Sonic looks up a bit and spoke out.

"Well, you aren't wrong on that one."

Sans nodded, and Alphys looked a bit shaken up, as she spoke out.

"S-S-So...you feel g-g-good inside the suit, Sonic?"

Sonic nodded and spoke out.

"Yeah, and it feels amazing!!! But...do I need to worry about ammo for some, at least for the rockets?"

Alphys shook her head, and spoke out.

"Oh...a-a-actually, I thought of that and...I-I-I manage to integrate some machines of my own th-th-that gives the missiles the ability to make more. So...the missiles have a limitless supply."

Sonic smiled and spoke out.

"Huh...Alphys...you're amazing."

Alphys smiled and blushed in embarrassment, as she spoke out to him.

"Oh...uh...th-thank you, Sonic. It means a lot."

Sonic grinned, as Sans grabs Alphys, and then touched Silver Sonic's foot, as they both are teleported back to Sonic's house in Snowdin. It is almost as big as Sans' house, as Sonic spoke out.

"Uhhh...how do I...get out of this?"

Sans looks up and spoke out.

"Just get your arms out of the slots first. Then it'll open up again. Then it'll close once you get out fully."

Sonic nodded, as his arms are out, and then the head opens up. Seeing this, Sonic got his legs out, and then jumped out of the machine, which closes automatically.

"Nice...man, wish Tails was normal and is here to see to see to is. He's freak out."

Sans smiled a bit humorously at this, as he spoke out.

"Heh, well anyway. Gonna go and find any other abandoned base that Eggman left behind and see what else I can use, and hopefully give us ideas on what to give to Silver Sonic."

Sonic nodded and spoke out.

"Want me to come along?"

Sans shook his head, as he then spoke out to Sonic.

"Nah, it's fine. I can handle this on my own. Besides, I can teleport out of here if the Highest were to find and try to erase me. So...best I don't get you erased."

Sonic looks and spoke out to him.

Well...alright then. Just...be careful."

Sans nodded, as he held his hand out for a fist bump and spoke out.

"I will, pal."

Sans smiled wider, as Sonic clenched his fist and does a fist bump on Sans' fist, before Sans teleports back to his house, grabs onto a backpack, before he teleports outside. Sans looked around, and spoke out.

"Okay...now time to find more of Eggman's bases."

Sans then began to teleport from one location to another. Going through abandoned towns and cities that have bodies all over the place, and teleports to see a trail of scrap metal present below. He looks and spoke out.

"Guess this oughta be a lead."

Sans then began to walk down the road, as he sees multiple bodies, both organic and robotic alike, as he goes and continues on to see where the trail lead to. It looks as though these bodies have been left to decay and rust for years, like since the beginning of the demonic invasion started. Sans became perplexed and interested, as he continues down the trail. And eventually...he found it...one of Eggman's bases, and it appeared to be just advanced before he became demonized. But the base was in ruins, and looked rusted and broken down, yet very large in size, almost the size of a city. Despite this...it is surprisingly functional still, as the lights are on. Sans looked up and spoke out.

"Hmm...this must be where I can find the most of Eggman's objects. Just hope it isn't a trap, or at least has traps that are still active."

Sans then goes in front of the door and the keypad then spoke out.

"Password required..."

Sans looks at it, and then punched the keypad, causing it to malfunction and spoke out.

"Password accepted."

The door opened up, and Sans went inside, his hands in his pocket, as he goes into the base. The floor is checkered black and white, but the halls looked like they are very advanced. He goes down the hallways, and just teleports to save more time and not waste time just merely walking. He began to teleport to various parts of the base, going into different rooms, and then noticed something. 3 capsules of some sort, each of them large enough to fit an entire Mobian inside of it. Sonic looked at the computer, and turned it on. He looked and saw what was inside of them.

It seems like Eggman has made metal versions of Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, and by the looks of it, they've been used before in the past a number of times, since there are updates on their operational data and how many times they've been used. And that is not all...there was a capsule that has another robot Knuckles in it...but this one is different.

It looked as though this robotic Knuckles tried to repair itself via scrapped parts, and it has an entry note that says this.

Mecha Knuckles has been reprogrammed to regain free will, and has now since been against the Egg Empire. Carry on with resorting its original programming?"

Sans looked at this and is unamused at the sight, and simply pressed the button, NO, as Sans then decided to take them. He broke open the capsules with the Scythe and the Trident, and teleported then back to the Underground, one by one, but not activate them, since he'll give them to Robotnik. Mecha Knuckles, on the other hand, he'll be kept in the Underground. Sans sighed, as he spoke out.

"Well, that's one thing taken, robots. Now to find some other stuff."

Sans looked curious at this thing, as he used his Blue Magic to lift it, and is admittedly not sure if he wants to touch it or not. He then looks and sees notes of what it does. Apparently it's supposed to be some sort of trap that can displace the atoms of its targets. Sans looked and shrugged, thinking that it should be useful for him, as he puts it in his backpack. Sans sighed and began to teleport to random rooms inside of the base again, and continues to move until he stopped in one room, this one with a computer. He typed into it, and saw some plans that Eggman has, one involving a sort of Metal Virus that replicates and spreads, and the other involving some shields. Sans looked at it and spoke out.

"Hmm...Alphys might be able to concoct a way to reverse engineer the virus to make it into something that heels the Silver Sonic Suit, same for the shield to act as armor. I'll take files on these."

Sonic pulled out a flash drive of some sort and typed it in, getting the info involving those 2 in the process, before he puts the flash drive in his pants pocket, before he then goes into more rooms, this time he stumbled into one with objects in the table, where he sees 3...gems of some sort.

Sans gawked at the sight of what he is seeing. He has no idea what this is, but he feels like it is very important to use. The one that looks lumpy is down, damaged all over the place, with only 2 being still intact. Sans decided, that he'a going to take them, and used his blue magic to put them inside it. He looks at the notes, and sees what they are called and what they do.

"Phantom Rubies...Targets Perception to alter Reality...can virtually manipulate reality...warp space-time, stronger than the Master Emerald, seem to came from another universe...that seems more than just targeting perception. Might need these just in case."

Sans zipped up his bag, and when he did, a familiar voice appeared that he did not need to listen to again.

"Well...seems you've become a rock collector."

Sans looked almost annoyed, as he turned around and looks to see Chara is here...again.

Sans glared at Chara, as he spoke out.

"You again...you just can't see to leave me. Why can't you just take the hint?"

Sans then teleported out of the room, and as he did, Chara appeared beside him and spoke out.

"Maybe because this time...I might have something that can help you in this."

Sans looks at Chara and spoke out.

"If it's about you using that artificial soul, forget it. I ain't giving that you."

But Chara spoke out that caught Sans' attention.

"No...it's not that. While you were teleporting all over the place...kinda saw something...interesting."

Sans looks up at her with a raised eyebrow, and spoke out.

"You, finding something? Don't make me laugh."

Chara looks at him and spoke out.

"Well, if you follow me...then perhaps you'll realize how proven wrong you are."

Sans chuckled dangerously, as his red eyes flared.

"Or just trick me to get myself killed, since you always enjoyed killing me in the previous timelines."

Chara shook her head, as she spoke out to him.

"No...even if I wanted to...even my own existence would be threatened by the Highest people above. Besides...this is no trick, I can assure you. Besides...I think you'll find this one...useful."

Sans looked at her with narrowed eyes, his eye sockets empty, as if still distrustful of her. After a minute though, he finally looked at her normally, but still spoke out.

"You better be promising. Because I'm in no mood for you being here. Even if you help me, it doesn't mean I'll trust you, and the countless genocides I've been subjected to doesn't do you any favors either."

Chara shrugged her shoulder and spoke out.

"Fair enough. Follow me."

She flies elsewhere, and Sans ran to follow Chara, as she smiled mysteriously. Sans, however, although still doesn't trust her, still decides to come along anyway to wherever Chara is going and leading him to. After a minute, Chara stopped in front of a high-tech door of some sort, and Sans stopped at the sight of it. Sans looked at it, and opens the door, and looks to see a hallway of some sort. Sans looked curious, as Chara spoke out.

"Well, you're on your own for this one."

Chara vanished, and Sans rolled his eye lights, as he walked down the hallway. He has his hands in his pocket, and closed the door behind him, as he walked through the hallway to see where it is leading him. He narrowed his eyes, unsure of what he'll find, and just hopes that it does not kill him. He looks and sees some light after a minute of walking. He went through the other side...and saw that it is a small room, but with technology seemed...different from Robotnik, looking almost rocky appearance, but Sans could tell that this is not some originate technology, and he doubted that Eggman has the knowledge to make something like this. He grabbed onto some of the technology, and puts them in the bag as much as he can, while also lifting up the other pieces of tech to not get them destroyed, before he puts them back in and zips up the backpack. And oddly enough, the technology was making red pixel-like objects appear, and Sans was concerned of what they are. But then, as he looked around a bit more, he noticed a computer, one of Eggman's design, which itself is attached to more of this strange tech via a series of cables. Sans then goes to one of the computers, and he sees an odd symbol on the screen, one that he does not recognize in any sort of way.

Sans looked curious at the marking, before he saw something underneath it, and made out the words that are underneath the symbol.

PROJECT SAGE

Sans blinked his eyes, as he then goes through the computer to know what this is all about. He cannot help but feel very interested in whatever it is that Robotnik wanted to make, before he got demonized and abandoned his base. He looked at the images, and he sat that Robotnik had discovered something...peculiar. He discovered technology that is far beyond his own and is very...ancient. And it did not belong to Mobius, almost like some other species from somewhere else had somehow built it. Sans then began to piece together what Robotnik is trying to do.

"Okay...Eggman found some ancient tech from...an island a long time ago, he manage to gather what remained of the tech inside of the island, and is now trying to make an AI out of it, for the purpose of having the AI protect his life...or at least protect the one that had made the AI, if it were completed. But he must have abandoned the AI, still incomplete when he became demonized. Wonder why he didn't bother to return, finishing it."

Sans looked at the computer, he takes out another flash drive that is of a different color, and inserts it into the one that talks of how Robotnik found the tech and island, before putting it in his other pants pocket, and puts his hands on his chin, as he spoke out.

"It seems almost 7% complete, but this AI is still not waking up or is even activated. Maybe I can use the AI for the battle against the Highest. I don't know...I hope I can be smart enough to fill this one up."

He then smiled a bit, as he spoke out at the sight of this.

"Let's get to work."

Sans goes onto the chair, and he began to look at the previous progression of what Eggman had been doing to make the AI. He looked and spoke out.

"Okay...let's see if I can continue where he left off."

He then looked at some of Robotnik's notes, in order to see what he is thinking of doing in order to make it, before he then began to type into the computer, as he began to try and complete what remains of the AI's functions that are still empty. He concentrated as much as he can, as he typed furiously onto the keyboard, even though he does not want to rush it, because of how much is happening, he thinks that he needs to be quick in this case, wanting to try whatever that he can in order to save his world. Sans remained focused, as he continues to complete the AI. It had been a long time since he had done machines, working as a lab assistant for his father and the rest of his colleagues, so...it's about time he puts this to good use.

Sans, after what must have been 7 minutes, finally completed the AI on the computer...and the result...was something that he did not expect. The computer began to glow, as electricity began to spark, almost like the computer is not designed to handle such advanced technology. Most importantly, due to the alien technology that Eggman had been using; it than caused red glitches to appear, and it began to cover the keyboard and the bottom of the seat itself, almost like it is some sort of corruption taking over the machines that Eggman is connecting. Sans, upon seeing this, teleported out of the chair before it can touch him in a bit of a panic, as the computer sparked, exploded a tiny bit, before really exploding in its entirety, along with the remaining alien tech that is attached to the computer that Sans did not take. Sans closed his eyes, as he held his hand out, before the explosion died down. He then looks, as smoke filled his vision, and he is unsure of what to see. Red flashes appeared, as it began to form...something, but he cannot see what it is, due to the fact the smoke covered the room. And then...after a little bit of waiting for the fog to disappear, he saw something unexpected. In the position of where the computer was stood...is now...a hologram, that is in the form of a human girl, with white hair and a black dress. The hands and legs are black worn red lines and parts of the dress and the right side of the head is somewhat the same. The girl then raised her head, and shows her left eye, being red with a yellow ring around the pupil, as she looked at Sans, but, she looks almost somewhat disorientated, almost like she doesn't see him very clearly.

The digital girl then began floating up, and looked at her hands, confused and disorientated and confused, as she spoke out, her voice calm and soft, almost in a silent way.

"Wh...who...am..."

The girl then looked up, finally taking notice of Sans, who smiled and spoke out to her.

"Hello, Sage. Nice for ya to wake up."

Sage blinked her left eye, as she spoke out.

"Sage...is that...my name?"

Sans nodded his head, as he spoke out.

"Yeah. Someone was trying to make you, but didn't complete it. So...I kinda took over into making you."

Sage'a eye widened a bit, as she slowly floats to Sans, and observes his form, before she spoke out.

"If you...made me...are you...my creator?"

Sans, hearing this rubbed the back of his skull, as he then spoke out.

"Not exactly...it's...it's complicated, to be honest."

Sage then lands and looks at Sans. And Sage, surprisingly is almost as tall as Sans, although she is slightly a little bit shorter compared to him, as she goes to touch and grab his hand, as she spoke out.

"Who...who are you..."

Sans smiled and spoke out.

"Oh, that's right. The name's Sans. Nice to meet ya."

Sage looks at Sans, her head gawked to the left, as Sans' red eye looks at Sage, while Sage's red eye looks at Sans, with Sage being curious of what Sans is like to her. However, after a little bit of staring, Sage sensed something off, as Sans looked and turned to also sense that something is wrong also. Then, a door busted open, and Sans realized that it is the Highest, or at least one of them, and they are coming to Sans.

"Yikes. Sage, we need to get outta here. Come on."

Sans then took Sage by the hands, and being as quick as he can, Sans teleported both Sage and himself back to the underground. Just a second to spare, which made the Highest missed their chance at taking him.

The Underground...

Sans and Sage teleported, as they both held each other by the hand. Sage looked around, and saw that she is inside of Snowdin, as Sans stepped back and lets her go, before Sage spoke out.

"Where...where are we?"

Sans smiled a bit, as he spoke out to Sage.

"We're in my home, Snowdin."

Sage looked curious, as she looks at the snowflakes falling down from above. She held her hand out, as the snowflakes somehow landed onto her hand, despite the fact that he'a a hologram. Sage then looked around and saw the various Humans, Mobians and Monsters that are present in Snowdin, and while the Monsters look more mentally stable, both of the Humans and Mobians looked like that but also somewhat stressed. Sage gawked, not sure of what this is, as Sonic's voice spoke out.

"Sans, there you are!!"

Sans turned to see Sonic running towards him and spoke out.

"You got what you needed?"

Sans nodded and held his backpack and spoke out.

"Yeah, all in here."

Sonic looks at Sans and saw how stuffed it is, and nodded his head, before he turned to look at Sage, and then spoke out.

"Uhh...who's that?"

Sonic looked at Sage, before he back at Sans, as Sans slumped his head down for a bit, almost annoyed at what he now is gonna do, and mumbled.

"This is gonna take a long time explaining, ain't it?"
