Chapter 10
So, I wrote the whole book a while ago, so I have this prepared, but any new books are on hold, since I'm having a bit of writer's block, but, I am working on Harry Potter, Young Justice, and maybe Assassination Classroom stories, but they'll have to wait a while, since I like to finish the books in drafts before I publish them. So, basically, I'm on a small Hiatus until future notice.
~Rin's POV, 3rd person~
When Rin woke up, she was laying in a bed, surrounded by soft silk covers. She sat up and looked around.
The room she was in was nothing less than elegant, she was laying in a four post bed, with a sandy colored veil surrounding her. The walls were made of stone, but the floor was made of a lightly colored wood, most likely from a birch tree. To her left, there was a dresser with a large elegant mirror on the top, along with a small window next to it, a banner of a sun hung next to it. To her right, there was another bed, this one was made of completely dark colors, the same silk sheets were a dark blue, while the veil around it was a silvery color, while swirls sewn around it, on the other side of the window, closer to the the other bed, there was a banner of a moon.
Rin yawned and stepped out of the bed, moving the veil to the side and stepping out of it.
"I see you're awake, majesty." A voice said.
Rin quickly turned around, seeing a young man with Raven black hair and wearing a cloak. "What do you mean by majesty?" She asked, trying not to make her voice shake.
"Haven't you figured it out?" The man asked, standing up and walking over to her, placing his hands on her shoulders, "You're Rin Lightshade, the Light Queen." He said.
Rin looked at him in shock, "There is no way. I'm nothing like a queen." She said. "I couldn't be a queen."
"Oh, so you've lost that knowledge, haven't you?" The man said, smiling, "Well, follow me if you want to know the truth." He said, heading out of the room.
Rin looked at him and took a deep breath, following him and following him. She didn't trust him, but she thought it would be best to follow this man. She followed him along large stone hallways, she suspected she was in a castle of sorts, and everything around her looked familiar, but, she had never been here before.
"Down here, majesty." He said, opening a door that lead down the stairs. "After you."
Rin glanced at him and walked through the doorway, hearing it slam shut behind her, she looked at the doorway with wide eyes. "Hey!" She said, reaching for the handle and trying to open it, finding that it was locked. A trap! Why did I fall for it?! I'm an idiot! She thought, gritting her teeth.
"You'll find your answers down there, majesty." He said, "And after you do, all the demons will awaken from their slumber once more!" He started to laugh.
Rin generated a ball of light, and looked around, the only way she could go was down. Down a long and narrow passage. She took a deep breath and started to walk down the stairs, her shoes clicking against the hard stone stairs. She must be above ground, but, it was so dark in here, and by the dampness of the air, anyone could guess that this was underground, but there's no way she could be.
Soon, she was on flat ground, at the bottom of the stairs. Her eyes were glued on the orb though, it had left her hand and now floating through the hallway seemingly with a will of it's own, Rin couldn't do anything but follow it, so she forced her feet to run after it, turning left or right at forks in the path, and soon, it diminished, leaving Rin in room, a dull light filling it, growing brighter as she walked towards the middle.
Once she reached the middle of the room, she looked down and saw a hole in the floor just in front of her feet, with a rope ladder reaching down to the level below. She climbed down the ladder, relaxing as she felt her feet hit solid ground.
The room she was in was like the other, dull stone gray walls in the shape of a square, the only difference would be the glowing orb in the middle of it. She felt herself being drawn to the orb, and without thinking, she walked towards it, reaching her hand towards it, and feeling as her hands got bathed in warm light.
After a sudden burst of light, the orb had vanished, and a voice rang through Rin's head.
Welcome back, majesty. Let me teach you what you might of forgotten.
