TW- misgendering, doctors,swears

Remus stood passively at the door, waiting for Roman to show up. Roman hadn't got on the bus after school, and Remus was worried. Remus watched as a figure slowly got off a bus about a block away. He watched as they slowly came to the house. Roman? Remus' eyes widened, opening the door for Roman.

"Roman! What happened? Are you okay?" Remus asked frantically. Roman didn't respond, they didn't say anything when they fainted, they didn't say anything when their head hit the floor because it was so sudden, they didn't say anything when Remus started to yell for the twos mother. They said nothing when they were taken to the hospital.

"God fucking damn it Roman!" Remus yelled as he paced outside the hospital. He was just so upset, but in truth, he didn't know what happened, all Remus knew, was Roman hadn't been eating a lot at dinner, and then they passed out. Remus paced around, gripping his hair tightly, trying to figure out what could've happened. Of course, his intrusive thoughts weren't helping. A hand touched his his shoulder, and he turned, it was his mother.

"Romans awake, and the doctor needs to talk with us, well, me, but I'm sure you want to know what's happing too" Remus nodded, walking with his mother to Romans room. Romans eyes were dark and downcast, not looking at any of the people in the room.

"Your Ms. Prince, correct?" The doctor asked Lily, stepping forward to shake her hand. She nodded softly, shaking the doctors hand. "Great, so Roman here passed out from starvation, just would like to make sure, you feed her dinner and provide a breakfast?" Lily nodded.

"Of course, they go to school for lunch though, so I don't know if they eat" The doctor nodded.

"Well, you see, Roman here is almost deathly skinny. Her weight should be around at around 140, but she's at 95" The doctor explained. Lily held a hand over her mouth in shock, Remus had been angry over the fact that this doctor was misgendering Roman, but the anger turned to sorrow and shock in a few seconds.

"How the hell did that happen?" Remus blurred out.

"Well, we needed to make sure that she was given access to meals, which you said she has-"

"Roman uses They/then mmm pronouns" Remus muttered. The doctor nodded.

"I apologize, you said they do have access, therefore we have come to the conclusion that Roman may be starving themself, which is common in women, it's also known as a eating disorder, you'll need to monitor their eating habits when they can come home. We'll have to keep them here for a few days just to get some food in them." Lily nodded. And Remus just watched as the doctor nodded and left.

"What the fuck!" Remus yelled as soon as the doctor left.

"I'm sorry" Roman mumbled, clenching the blanket tightly. "I thought it was helping me, I was getting skinnier"

"Your already a fucking stick! Ever since you met Andrew and dated that dickwad you've been getting thinner! I knew I should've fucking said something!" Remus yelled angry tears running down his face. His mother stopped him, telling him to go outside and cool off. He sighed, nodding as he left. It was then Remus wished he had gotten the nerds number, the two knew they were soulmates by now, and they talked, well, wrote in class regularly, and he knew that the damn nerd would be able to calm him.

"Fucking hell, why didn't I ask Logan for his number!?" Remus groaned, walking over to the park next to hospital. He sat down my the rushing river, letting its sound drown out his thoughts.

Why didn't he just mention something?
