Logan starts to date
I've been told that I should start writing down my thoughts and feelings, so here they are. It been approximately two weeks sense I've met three out of my five soulmates. You know, soulmates is such a strange word, in reality, they mean two or more souls bound together for the rest of the souls life. Meaning you have no choice of it. As that is just what happened to, for lack of a better way to put it, happen. There isn't a choice with them. The universe decides who you need in your life and makes it so you can find them. That all being said, why do some people belittle others for what the universe has given them. For example. I myself, am meant to be most likely be in a relationship with at least two males, and a gender fluid individual. The other two I'm meant to be with have yet to be found, therefore I shouldn't say pronouns for individuals I don't know yet. I had explained this to my mother and she was quite upset I believe. Her face was contorted with anger and her face was red from what I presume to be yelling. I can't quite understand her way of thinking. If her supposed 'god' didn't condone it, then why would he make it that way? It wasn't like I made this choice.
Logan sighed as he looked at the page. The whole 237 words on it. Logan wished he knew the logic behind his mothers thinking. Or was she just not thinking correctly? Logan shook it off, closing the leather bound journal. He returned the book to his shelf and pulled out his schooling planner. It recently turned into his life planner as he had made friends. He now had the journal filled with birthdays or big events that the others wanted to drag him to or even the occasional sleepover or hangout session. It still had work he needed to do but it was mostly plans and events now. Although, he didn't mind that fact, he actually found it nice. He smiled softly and looked over at his personal project. He had more then enough time to work on it as he had finished any and all homework at school. He rolled his desk chair over to the second desk, looking over his prized possessions. He had recently got into art, painting to be specific.
The current painting he wanted to make was a galaxy with hands pulling at the strings of the world. He had sketched it out the other night. He smiled softly as he looked at it, he was scared to paint it as he didn't want it to look bad but he knew he was going to paint anyways. He also knew that he would have to work on his other project at some point. However this painting was going to be finished before that. He checked his phone for any texts from the others. He happily found none, it wasn't like he hated the others, he just wanted to paint. He looked over to his paint cup, seeing it was void of water. Logan groaned, deciding to make himself something to drink while he got paint water. Logan grabbed his phone, slipping it into his pocket and grabbed the cup before standing. He made his way down the stairs and endless halls to reach the kitchen. He smiled as he saw no one.
He quickly set down his tea and paint cup in the desk, both on opposite ends of the desk. He took a sip of tea, then started his painting.
It was around four in the morning when Logan finished painting. He had gotten lost in the world of paint so he didn't notice the paint on his hands or the time. Logan nodded in approval and took a picture so he could possibly show Thomas, looking at the time as well. He stumbled, realizing he messed up his sleep schedule. Logan knew there was no way he would be able sleep as he found as a small child, there was really only one time he could fall asleep at. Logan sighed as he laid down, hoping that maybe he would be able to sleep.
It was the morning, and Logan was already downstairs. He was making his lunch as he promised Virgil and Janus to buy them each a extra slice of pizza. Logan wasn't a complete fan of pizza but those two definitely were. He smiled softly as he remembered that he had to pack a cookie for Patton so he wasn't left out. He put his lunch into his bag, checking his phone. He saw a text from Virgil and quickly opened it.
hey lo, uh, he/him today
Thank you for telling me Virgil
Logan nodded and grabbed his coat, walking out the door. Logan soon arrived at the bus stop, his headphones slipping down to hang at his neck. Not that it mattered, it just showed he cared about the conversation he was sure was about to happen. Patton quickly noticed him, bouncing over to Logan and tackling him in a hug. Logan stumbled, making sure the two wouldn't fall. Logan gave Patton a soft smile when the other pulled away.
"I new!" Patton said, well Logan was sure he said more, however that's all he could figure out. Logan frowned, looking away a little. Patton continued to talk for awhile Logan assumed, as it took around four minutes before Patton tapped him on the shoulder.
'I'm sorry Lo!' Patton signed tears welling in the his eyes. Logan was confused, why was Patton upset?
'Why are you upset? What's wrong?' Logan signed back confused.
'I forgot to sign what I was saying' Patton crudely explained. Patton buried his head into Logan chest, shaking a little. Logan, who was taken back, simply hugged Patton. Patton soon pulled back, rubbing his eyes which messed with his glasses.
'I hold not ill feeling towards you, you simply got excited' Logan explained. Patton nodded, looking towards the bus that was just now rolling up to the stop.
'I learned something new!' Patton signed, once again happy. Logan chuckled and Patton smiled wide. 'You should laugh more, I like the sound!' Patton said. Logan nodded, then asked Patton to show him what he had learned. 'How are you? Im doing great!' Patton said. Logan nodded in approval, and the two boarded the bus.
'You got Virgil's text correct?' Logan asked Patton. Patton shook his head. 'He/Him pronouns' Logan said. Patton nodded, going on to ramble about a puppy he saw that morning.
Logan met up with Janus and Virgil. He handed them both a extra slice of pizza and sat next to Patton. Pulling out his own lunch of a cucumber sandwich, he handed the cookie to Patton. Patton squealed, hugging Logan. Logan smiled, he knew that once lunch was over, he had speech. Which he was excited for.
There was a tap on Logan's shoulder and he looked up.
'What got you so spacey?' Virgil asked playfully. 'You got a boy or two on your mind?' Logan laughed, shaking his head.
'You three are almost always on my mind, however I was thinking about some personal matters' Logan said shaking his head.
'Anything bad?' Patton asked worried.
'Oh goodness no, just a personal project' Logan said giving Patton a smile. Patton smiles back. 'Speaking of projects, would you like to see something I made?' Logan asked nervously. He wasn't one to show others his paintings, however these three were meant to be around forever, they are going to find out eventually. They all gave a chorus of agrees. Logan pulled out his phone, going to the picture of his painting. He passed the phone around the table.
'Bro, how'd you do that?' Virgil asked. Logan smiled at him.
'Acrylic paint' Logan said, packing his lunch up as it was three minutes before he had to get to speech. Logan took his phone back after Patton looked at it. 'I must be going however I will see you all after school correct?' Logan said, giving Patton a hug as usual. They all nodded, waving bye to Logan.
"He-Hello Picani" Logan greeted as he walked into the speech room.
"Hello Logan! How are you?" Emile said smiling.
"I-I'm d-doing great!" Logan said taking a seat.
'Awesome, anything you want to learn before we start?' Emile asked before grabbing a booklet type of thing.
'I want to learn to say Janus and Virgil' Logan said proudly. Emile nodded, testing the names himself before having Logan repeat them.
"Janus" Emile said.
"Jan-Janus?" Logan said, hoping it was correct. Emile nodded.
"Virgil"
"Vermeil?" Logan tried. Picani laughed, shaking his head.
"No no no, Vir-gil" Emile said slower.
"Vir-gil" Logan said focusing. Emile nodded. "Virgil!" Logan shouted happily. Picani nodded, smiling with Logan.
'Alright, I'm going to show you a few pictures and words, try and say what is out loud' Picani said flipping to the image of the word happy.
"Hap-py" Logan said. Picani moves onto the next one. It showed multiple stick figure like people.
"Pe-Peop-le?"
'Close, try again' Picani encouraged.
"People" Logan said confidently. He nodded, flipping the page again. This time, it showed the word thing. Confused, Logan looked at Picani.
'Why the word thing?' Logan asked.
'It's a building block for a lot of conversations' Picani said.
Logan stepped out of the speech room, walking back to his homeroom.
'Hello Thomas' Logan greeted as he walked in.
'Hello Logan, speech went well I assume?' Thomas said smiling to him. Logan nodded, sitting at his desk. He was handed his history worksheet, and Thomas started to write on the board about the topic. Logan took notes, finding time slipping away so quickly. When Thomas had finished the lesson, Logan was surprised. As it had only felt like an hour. Logan thanked Thomas as always, packing his things and leaving.
'Hey Lo!' Patton said as Logan made his way out the school doors.
'Hi Patton' Logan said smiling. 'Where are the other two?'
'Well Verge was in music, so it'll be a little. And Jan is waiting for us by the field' Logan nodded, asking how school was for Patton. Patton as always, explained every detail to him.
'Hello Janus' Logan signed smiling as he approached the other.
"Hello Logan" Janus said aloud before realizing he needed to sign. 'Sorry, hello Logan' Janus signed quickly.
'It's alright, it's completely normal for one to do that' Logan said face showing understanding even if he wanted to cry. It was an honest mistake, Janus meant no harm. But it reminded Logan of the painful truth. 'How about we go sit down, I want to rest my eyes for a little. I'm quite tired.' Logan said motioning to a table not too far away. The other two looked at each other before nodding and walking to the bench. Logan sat down quickly taking his glasses off and burying his face in his arms. Tears burned his eyes, he didn't let them fall even if he wanted to though. Instead, he discreetly wiped his eyes. Logan knee the other two were talking but he could care less. He just needed to push away his sadness and join the conversation. A tap on his shoulder woke him from his thoughts. He looked up, seeing Virgil.
'You good? Want a hug?' He asked concerned.
'I'm fine, no need to worry Virgil' Logan said putting on his glasses. Patton gasped.
'Valentines day is in a few days! What are we gonna do for it?' Patton said both out loud and in sign.
'I as usual have no plans' Logan said. Virgil nodded.
'Same' he said.
'Well that's not right. We're all soulmates, meaning I'm taking you all out, well, besides Virgil as we're friends.' Janus said with a sad glint in his eyes.
'We aren't dating I thought, did something change?' Logan asked confused.
'Well, I mean, it was just a suggestion I don't have to take you out if you don't want' Janus signed seemingly in a panic.
'I'd love to date you guys!' Patton said and signed with a large grin.
'I mean, okay?' Virgil said blushing. 'That's one way to ask us out'
'I would like to date you all as well' Logan said. The others nodded. 'Satisfactory, now don't mind me while I try and sleep' He said taking his glasses off once more and burying his head in his arms. The others not that Logan knew, had switched the conversation to Logan. They were concerned as he had been asking strange since he met up with Janus. However, the three knew they wouldn't know unless they asked.
