~~~Nightmare's POV~~~

I sat there next to Y/N, luckily they only shocked her for about 30 minutes. I could feel the tears still on my cheekbones from the entire experience as one thought ran through my mind the entire time. 'Why didn't she let me help her?' I thought once more and looked over to her sleeping figure. She was still slightly tense and would twitch from time to time, but she was sleeping fairly well this time. Luckily my magic had eased some of the pain so now I was just sharing it to help with her twitching and help her wake up, but it was taking longer than expected.

I sighed sadly. "Come on Y/N, please wake up soon." I said aloud as I watched her for any sign as to waking up.

My soul lurched with slight magic. My eyes widened as I looked around for any sign of him. 'No, not now.' I thought and looked back to Y/N. "Come on Y/N, please wake up. I don't want 'him' to see me like this right now." I pleaded and started sharing some more of my magic to her. Sweat started to coat my skull, yet nothing happened. "Y/N, Y/N please." I said and started to shake her slightly. I started putting more and more magic, not even noticing she had stopped twitching all together as I had shut my eyesockets tightly and started crying slightly. "Please wake up, please. I don't want to face him alone. Please, just please wake up." I started saying over and over, my voice lowering from exhaustion.

"..N-Nightmare." I heard her say. My eyes shot open and I looked over to her. "What happened, where are-" I cut her off my hugging her and sobbing into her, slightly sizzling, shirt. She hugged back softly.

"P-Please don't make me face him alone. I don't want him to see me like this." I sobbed, I could start to feel my eyes getting dull from the overuse of magic.

"Who?" She asked.

"M-My brother." I said softly before everything went black.

~~~Your POV~~~

"Your brother isn't going to hurt you. I'll be there for you." I whispered softly to the skeleton, but got no answer in return. "Nightmare?" I whispered and this time got a soft snore in return. I chuckled, "Your just an adorable cinnamon roll."

"My brother a cinnamon roll? HAH, as if." I heard someone, who sounded exactly like Nightmare, say. I looked up to find a very bright skeleton in teal jacket with stars, blue pants, and yellow gloves and boots, along with a yellow cape and crown to match. I just stared at the skeleton's dimmed, starry, eyes in awe. "Hello human. My name's Dream. I am Nightmare's brother." The small skeleton said and gave a small smile.

"Your... His brother?" I asked confused. This skeleton was like the complete opposite to his brother. He even looked like a real skeleton!! "How exactly, if you don't mind me asking." I said trying to be slightly apologetic. Although he seemed to not hear me as he just kept watching Nightmare.

I looked down at the glob of skeleton on me who was shaking in fear, crying, and mumbling things in his sleep. I listened closely to what he was saying. "Please..... don't leave.... me..." The sobbing skeleton said, I smiled softly.

"Don't worry. I'm here." I whispered back making him slightly smile in his sleep.

"I guess it's true then. He did pick you to try and get out of his curse huh?" I heard Dream say. I glanced at him and just nodded. He sighed. "Well, I had promised my friend I wouldn't do this, this early... but...." He stopped making me look at him in confusion. He sighed once more. "I can get rid of his curse." My eyes widened at that. "But! he has to prove it to me first."

"Prove it? Like how?" I asked.

"Easy. He has to prove that he truly cares about you more than himself."

"Okay, seems easy enough." I said making Dream just smile.

"Okay we'll see about that." He said then looked down at my neck and his smile faltered. "What's that on your neck?" He said and pointed to my neck. I felt around my neck, only to grab at the cord of wire that connected to the electric shocker. I sighed in frustration and ripped the cords out of my neck. I could see Dream wince at the action.

"How's it look?" I ask showing him my neck. He looked awestruck with wide eyes and bright stars in his eyes.

"There's no marks what-so-ever." He said then sighed. "Listen I should probably go, before my brother wakes up." Dream said looking towards his sleeping blob of a brother. "Goodbye for now, Y/N." He said then disappeared. I frowned in confusion.

"How did he know my name?" I asked myself.

~~~Nightmares POV~~~

I slowly woke up feeling fully energized. 'When had I fallen asleep?' I thought to myself and slowly opened my eyes. All I could see was a tiled floor, nothing else. I shot up and looked around. Nothing. 'Where is she?' I thought and started walking around the room. "...The fuck did you think you were allowed to..." I heard from upstairs. I instantly teleported upstairs.

"WHAT DID I SAY WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED DOING THIS SHIT?!" I heard the male demon yell. Curious, and angry, I walked into the living room to see Y/N sitting there with her head down, not looking at the demons, and just nodding as they yelled at her. "YOU KNOW WHAT JUST GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SIGHT!" He said. Y/N nodded and left the room up the stairs, not even noticing me. I followed her.

"Y/N?" I asked once we got to her room. She looked over to me and smiled.

"Hey Nightmare. Sorry for leaving you downstairs, couldn't exactly move you with my parents unable to see you and all." She said and looked down sadly.

"I-It's fine. I understand." I smiled softly, but it soon turned into a frown. "D-Did.. Did you meet.. h-him?" I asked questioningly.

"Your brother? Yeah. Really bright guy." She said making me chuckle.

"Yeah. He is." I agreed and looked over to her with seriousness. "H-He didn't do anything to you did he?" I asked worried and took a step to her. She smiled softly.

"No, actually better," My soul started thumping,"He told me he would get rid of your curse." I internally sighed a breath of relief, but on the outside my eyes widened.

"H-He did?" I asked hoping she wasn't lying as tears started forming in my eyesockets again.

"Yup he did, but he said that you needed to-" I cut her off by hugging her, once more today, and crying tears of joy. She hugged back and started to rub my back in soothing small circles. I smiled even wider.

We stayed like that for what felt like forever, and I wanted it to last forever, but of course we had to separate. I looked into her beautiful E/C eyes, and could tell mine have turned into hearts from my small reflection in her eyes, and I just stared at her. I soon started leaning forward.

"Hey Nightmare why are your eyes little hearts?" She asked me making me realize what I was about to do. My eyes widened and I blushed madly. I quickly released her.

"I'm sorry!" I quickly yelled. She giggled in reaction behind me making me blush even more, if that was even possible. That's when I remembered something. "H-Hey Y/N?" I asked nervously.

"Yes Nightmare?"

"Why didn't you let me help you?"

And all went silent.
