~~~Your POV~~~

"Well, now that that's out of the way." Dream said and looked over at me. "Been a while hasn't it?" He asked with a wink.

"Dream h-how.. w-why.." I started but was shooshed by Dream putting a gloved finger to my mouth.

"It doesn't matter how I got here, come on, those two won't give up just yet and they most likely have seen Nightmare now." He said standing up and picking up his brother. "This way, I know a shortcut past Waterfall. It'll make your journey a lot quicker and give us some distance between those two and us." Dream said and held a hand out to me, holding Nightmare on his shoulder. I took it and we walked past a few trees.

As soon as I blinked I felt nauseous and the world around me shift. Hot air consumed me quickly causing me to get a small coat of sweat, ew. Once I opened my eyes to find us standing on pure red land surrounded by a bright light. I released Dream's hand, so he could hold Nightmare correctly, and looked over the edge enough to see it was lava! "Hotland." Temmie muttered under her breath, but was loud enough for me to hear her. "How'd you get us here Smiley?" Temmie asked Dream. He looked over and finally seemed to take notice of Temmie.

"Well if it isn't Temmie, but to answer your question it was just my magic. I teleported us to Hotland since it was the closest to the Core." Dream answered as he started walking off. I jogged up to him and followed his pace.

"Then who are you and who is that in your arms? and how did you get here?"

"My name is Dream, I am the protector of peoples Hopes and Dreams, this is my brother, he.. Well let's just say his job is like mine." Dream chuckled nervously, "And how I got here was through the Dreamscape. It's something only me and Nightmare can enter and exit through."

"If he is your brother, then why is he covered in all that... Goop?" Temmie asked, you were intrigued by this question, and looked at Dream. He looked at the two of you from the corner of his eyesocket and sighed.

"I knew you would be curious, heheh. Well, we were the protectors of this apple tree. Only one side was covered in Gold apples, the other Black. I protected the Gold apples, or the hopes and dreams of people, Nightmare protected the Black apples, the..." He hesitated. "The Nightmares and flaws of people." He said and looked down at his brother. "One day Nightmare seemed to continue staring at my apples. I didn't know why, that is, until he stole one." Dream said giving a saddened face. We stopped and watched a couple monsters standing guard.

"Why did he steal an apple?" I asked as we went to the left, avoiding two monster guards who were just leaving, Dream sighed as we continued into what seemed to be an elevator.

"He stole it because of the humans envy over us. To them we ar-WERE considered gods, but what they didn't realize was that the envy they felt was transferred to Nightmare's apples, so he would  experience their envy. This caused him to be envious of the gold colorization of mine and take one. This caused the tree to overbalance on Dreams and Nightmares and things started to change within humans. They started to blame each other for things that didn't matter, wars started a lot of people died, and worst of all. The shift caused humans to hate monsters and forced them into the Underground." He said and the elevator doors finally opened. We stepped out and continued on.

"Soon the power of all the humans negativity got to Nightmare, he started fights with me, threatening to eat the gold apple. I told him that it would have negative effects on him, but he never believed me. Soon one fight between us broke out in the dreamscape, a dangerous place to fight, as we were fighting we were entering humans dreams and nightmares. I could feel people becoming more and more scared of us causing me to loose power. This was apparently Nightmares plan as he cornered me. I was weak compared to him. I couldn't beat him so I begged for him to stop. It took a while but I somehow got him to agree, only, he ended up being allowed to eat the apple. I don't remember how it came to that, but all I can think of when I see him is that it's my fault for him becoming like this. See once he took a bite of the golden apple, as I assumed, it had a negative affect on him. He was so consumed by the negative emotions of humans that it instantly consumed the hope of the apple. It gave him more than just 5 Hope, almost 20 like a humans, and gave him extra powers, but the side effect was not only turning him into this." Dream indicated to Nightmare as we passed a few vented areas, and a kitchen for some reason.

"Another side affect is that he wouldn't be able to survive in a land full of hope. It would weaken him. So to try and get rid of this problem he joined this other version of us and started to destroy different AU's, or Alternate Universe's, this not only helped him continue to survive, but it also gave him more and more strength. While I couldn't do much, after years and years I finally got tired of watching him destroy AU's so I got together a team of different me's. We called ourselves the 'Star Sanses'." He sighed happily. "It was me, a Sans with the power of paint, who called himself Ink, and Blueberry, which is what we called him, He wasn't as strong but had the heart of such an innocent person that it would warm anyone's heart. Wonder how they're doing." He mumbled with a sad smile.

"Once we deemed ourselves strong enough, we decided to face Nightmare and his companion. What we didn't expect was him to have a few extra companions. We didn't last long, Blue almost got killed, Ink had lost his paint brush, and I was the only one standing, trying to protect the two. Nightmare thought it was funny so he decided on a one-on-one match against me. Before we started I tried to make it seem even more ineresting to him. So I gave him a bet he wouldn't refuse. Let's stop here for a bit." Dream said as we got to a hotdog stand. We sat behind it so that monsters couldn't see us as we rested and he continued. " I bet that if he beat me, me and my friends would be his slaves and wouldn't resist anything he did to us." I gave an involuntary gasp, making Dream look at me with a sad smile. "That was the same reaction Ink gave... But if I won. Nightmare would be banished and the rest of them would disperse back to their own AU's and leave the rest alone. Needless to say, we were pretty much evenly matched. We fought for what seemed to be forever, and soon both of us were tired. We never let any of the others interfere, just to make it fair, which was Nightmare's downfall. I somehow got him on his knees and gave the final blow. It didn't kill him luckily, but it left him scarred and scared of me forever." Dream sighed sadly.

"I cursed Nightmare to be invisible to anyone without magic, and made sure he couldn't leave the tree we were created on. Ink banished the others back to their own AU, except for one he took that one and forced him to take care of Blue, and lastly we all went home to heal up. For over hundreds of years I would go and check on him for one day a year. He ended up becoming more and more nicer and less of a threat without the contact of people, and sooner than I thought we made a deal. I allowed him to make cursed apples where they would affect anyone who tried to eat them. Those apples would allow people to see Nightmare, but only one person could use those gifts. So obviously Nightmare allowed the first person to eat it, unfortunately that person flipped out after seeing him and ran. Causing immense pain to go through Nightmare, so he ended up silently following that person. Soon that person became paranoid and killed themselves. Scared Nightmare went back to the tree and made sure not to allow any others to eat the apples. 50 years later, you came along and changed him." Dream smiled at me, making me blush with happiness.

"S-So, how can I get Nightmare back to his original self?" I asked making Dream chuckle.

"It's easier than he know's, he just has to be kissed by the one he truly loves."

Okay, so I'm going to try and speed up this story cause I have a few new stories I am thinking of, I know all of you love this one! but I gotta spread my wings for even more stories which will be as fucking awesome as this one! If your wondering when this one will end. It's going to end when you two actually kiss and Nightmare turns back. I'm sorry, and I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and the story so far! =3

OH! also can you guys tell me if any of the chapters say Untitled blah blah.. I'm thinking it's my laptop, but I just want to make sure. THANK YOU ALL!! ^w^
