Gabby's POV

We all glared up at Medusa. She smiled down at us.

"Its been a while since I've seen you all. I hope you enjoyed the little playground I made for you." Medusa said.

"Screw you bitch! That damn teddy bear from before was not right! How can you mess with people's emotions like that?!" Envy snapped.

"You use to do the same thing Envy so don't cry about it." Medusa said. Envy gritted his teeth.

"Why you little-" he stopped when Crona used his Screaming Resonance at her. Medusa swiftly dodged and smiled at her son.

"Crona, this isn't like you. I like it." she said. Crona glared at Medusa darkly.

"I've had enough of your torture, I'm done being afraid of you." he said. He gripped tightly onto his sword.

"I'm finishing this, once and for all." he stated. Crona cut his arm and flung his arm, black droplets of blood going everywhere in the air.

"Bloody Needle!" he cried. All the droplets of blood turned into sharp needle and went straight towards Medusa. 

"Vectors Arrow." Medusa said. A giant black arrow block all of the bloody needles. Crona gritted his teeth.

"Well I can't have all the fun to myself. Why don't I let my friend here join in on the fun." Medusa said. Below her, one of the paper children stood there. It smiled at us. Then it shrieked, black tentacles coming out of her back. She got bigger, and her while skin turned completely black, with glowing red eyes.

"Uh oh..." I said. The thing screeched and charged right towards us. It tried to slam us with one of its tentacles, but we all dodged. I saw Crona run past the creature and head straight for Medusa, anger in his eyes.

"Crona wait!" I cried. The creature caught me in one of its tentacles. I growled and transformed into my wolf form, biting into it and ripping part of it off, freeing myself. I landed back on my feet.

"Gabby! give me a boost to its head!" Magane said. I ran to her. She ran to me and hopped on my back. I tried to climb onto its back but it was difficult with all its tentacles squirming everywhere. I snarled in annoyance.

"I'll distract it!" Alex said. 

"I'll help!" Ryuga said. Alex transformed into her fox form and together to use their fire powers below it. The creature screeched in pain and tried to attack them. This gave me time to climb on some of its tentacles and get to the top. I used my ice beam to freeze its neck, also making an ice trail. The creature clawed at its throat, trying to break the ice.

Magane hopped off my back and slid down the ice, then used her dagger to stab it in the head. The creature however, smiled, and flung her and the dagger off. Magane cried out in pain as she skidded across the floor. I barked at her, trying to call her out. Soon more of those damn paper children we saw before came out, running fast and screeching loudly. Ryuga used his flames to burn most of them, but more kept coming. 

"I'll deal with these things for a while!" Ryuga said. Alex joined him and started to either burn the children or rip them to pieces with her jaws.

"I have an idea for this thing here. Izaya, can you blind it, even if tis temporary?" Ulric said. Izaya smirked and took out his knives. He threw some at the creature, but it simply blocked. Izaya tried one more time, this time hitting the thing in both its eyes. I cried out in pain as it tried to see again.

"Envy, climb on her back and pull her head back!" Ulric said. Envy nodded and ran around her. He got a running start then ran up her back. When he got to her head he grabbed her hair and yanked her head back. Ulric flew up, then charged down for her face. He then kicked both knives even deeper into her face. The thing screeched in pain. Envy and Ulric got back. Meanwhile I ran over to Magane and nudged her.

I barked at her to get up. Magane groaned and struggled to get up. I looked over at Crona and Medusa. Crona kept on using his Screaming Resonance over and over, but he just kept missing. Finally he yelled out in rage and leaped up. Medusa looked at him surprised. Crona used his sword to cut her broom in half. Medusa fell to the ground, but landed perfectly on her feet. Crona landed as well and glared at her. Medusa smiled.

"There's my son." she said. My eyes widened. His soul was darkening. It wasn't purple now, but was slowly turning into pink. It almost felt familiar.....then it hit me. I transformed out of my wolf form.

"Crona stop! You have to calm down!" I cried. Crona glared back at me.

"Go away! I never asked for your help." he stated. With that he charged for Medusa. Medusa made her own black arrow sword and charged as well. The two of them started to sword fight, blade against blade, witch against the demon sword, mother against son. 

"Gabby what's wrong?" Magane asked.

"His anger towards Medusa, its darkening his soul.....if we don't stop him.....he'll turn into a kishin!" I said. Magane's eyes widened.

"You mean like the one we saw in Shadow Woods?! Oh hell no!" she stated and got to her feet. Medusa pushed him back and he glared at her. Strange red marks appeared on his face and his eyes glowed red.

"That's it!" he stated. He lifted his word, and a strange wind circled around him.

"Bloody Resonance!" he cried. The wind around him turned into a strange glowing red aura, and his sword got much bigger, and was glowing red as well. He was about to charge at Medusa. Medusa smiled and opened her arms.

"Yes! Come to me! My kishin son!" she said. I got my scythe out and charged for him.

"NOOOO!" I cried. My scythe glowed a bright blue, and the blade turned into a huge sharp ice blade. I got in front of Medusa and blocked Crona's attack. The clash made a big explosion, and Crona and I were both sent flying. I cried out in apin as I skidded across the ground. Magane and Crona quickly came over to me.

"Gabby!" Magane said, kneeling next to me. Crona did the same.

"Gabby I, I'm so sorry, I-I didn't mean to-" I sat up and cut him off.

"I'm fine, but Crona you have to stop! This anger towards your mother isn't healthy! You were about to turn into a kishin!" I said. Crona's eyes widened.

"I....what...?" he said.

"Listen, I know she's done a lot of pain to you, but its like you told me. You can't let your frustration or anger distract you from your surroundings! You need to focus and do your part as a member of this team!" I said. I smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder. His eyes stopped glowing red, and the red marks on his face disappeared. 

"Don't worry, she'll pay. But not like this." I said. Crona was silent for a moment, then he nodded and smiled.

"Sorry, I guess I got a bit carried away." he said. Raganorak popped out.

"You think?" he said.

"You fools!" Medusa yelled. We all got up and looked at her. Her eyes covered her eyes.

"He was finally about to be perfect. Years of work and he was finally about to be my perfect creation." Medusa said. She glared at us with her yellow snake eyes glowing.

"AND YOU RUINED IT!" she shrieked. Suddenly that thing smacked us with its tentacles and sent the three of us flying. We all cried out in pain as we crashed into the rest of our team. We were trapped into a corner. I looked up. Medusa stood on that thing's shoulder, and more paper children surrounded them. Medusa smiled.

"What will you do now?" she asked. I looked at our friends. Everyone looked beat and exhausted, especially Crona, considering all the power he used during his rage. Alex transformed out of her fox form and looked at me.

"What do we do now?" she asked.

"I don't know." I said. Then it hit me. I dug out the spell we stole Fromstein. Alex and I looked at each other. Izaya's eyes widened.

"Don't you dare!" he said. Alex and I looked each other in the eyes and nodded. We held hands and stared at the enemy. We glanced down at the paper and took a deep breath.

"Soul Resonance!" we cried. My eyes widened as I felt an overwhelming power flow into my soul. Me and Alex gave a battle cry as a purple aura formed around us. Then we both turned into purple flames, swirling around each other, fusing. Then finally, our flame formed four arms, a fox head, red eyes, and nine tales. We were much bigger than before. Medusa and our friends stared at us in awe.

We let out a loud roar.

Author's POV

A strange wave hit Stein and his eyes widened, and he stopped writing in his form. He focused, and recognized the soul wavelength.

"A Demon Alpha? But how-" he stopped when he saw his spilled trash bin. He remembered Izaya being here. He frantically searched through all the papers, but didn't find the spell.

"They stole it....I knew someone was in here." he said. He ran to the Colonel's office. Roy looked at him confused.

"Stein? What's wrong-"

"We have to find those kids!" Stein stated.
